I was so distracted by the loud background (no, it was actually foreground) music tonight that I couldn't hardly focus. My friend kept saying "Why are the kids talking like they're from a 90s Disney show? I thought it was ok. I'm giving the newly hired writer some slack. He's been with the show a while. Not a favorite, but didn't hate it.

I understand why some would be pissed if they jerk us around for two weeks and Glen turns up okay (ironic that they had Lindelof on the show because that was the reason I stopped watching LOST after the first season: manipulation), buuuuut... all I can say is if there was some way that Hershel could have made it out alive, I would've been the happiest fan on the planet. Oh gawd. "YAY it's JJ-free so it's EXCELLENT!" Please. This was a steaming pile of shit. So was last week's episode. What is the matter with this writing team that they think we'll just take anything? You guys, what can we do? WHAT CAN WE DO? Oh, I hope not. I do like Tom a lot, but I want Mary off with a rogue-ish chap who's crazy in love with her, taking her on windblown adventures and stirring things up. She's far too staid for a woman of... what? 30-33? Her routine bores me. Let Tom be the agent, and if she really wants to, she could start her own real estate company. I do like what a good friend she is to Anna. She really is that. But I don't see, and have never understood, why she hates Edith so much. The spark of support she threw her way was refreshing. Did anyone else feel sorry for Thomas when he admitted to Baxter that he does care what people think? And I liked that he admitted to, was it Molesly? That he really was jealous of Gwen. How adorable WAS SHE? Really! And I'm glad Thomas's snitty sabotage failed, and that Robert called him on it. They're going to kill Robert, aren't they?
