Lots of variety in programs during the free dance. The Ukrainians were so acrobatic & entertaining--if they never medal at international events, I bet they'll still have a future in shows. By the time Sinitsina/Katsalapov began their program, I was ready for non-angsty music & dance. NK is my favorite ice dancer but I see that he's dropped all the OTT drama (it was time). To the people wearing masks below their schnozzolas...you don't get any points. I found that really irritating. Your nose is the source of potential viral droplets.

Last night we celebrated our anniversary by getting dinner from Coastal Flats, a favorite restaurant nearby. I had Crispy Two Noodle With Shrimp Salad, and MrP914 had a crab sandwich plus their chopped salad with buttermilk dressing. Love their food!

It's funny how the two canned versions of cranberry mean so much to people. At an old recipe site I used to frequent, posters discussed that they had to have several cranberry dishes available (starting with the jellied version!)or a war would start.

Well, I didn't see it mentioned at any time before, during, or after Skate America. Something like a concussion would've normally been babbled about endlessly during SA.

So, something *did* affect their training. That excuse they gave for not entering Skate America (something about how they just needed to train more) IMO, seemed weak, coming from the US champs. I'm so glad Madison is ok, and has been back on the ice. Can't wait to see their new programs.

I frequently order chicken curry from our nearby Chinese restaurant...now I've got a hankering for it!!!

We had Giada's Lemon Spaghetti with Shrimp and it was really good. I've made it before. Love frying the capers (10-15 seconds)...makes me feel like a chef for some reason. Next time I think I'll cut back a teence with the lemon juice.

Homemade chicken soup...used up carrots, celery, onion, and a rotisserie chicken.

I don't know much about him as I couldn't watch the show (except a few times--so loud!) until they started the new format. He seemed to be an ok guy, but I was surprised to hear him refer to the ham as an "Iron Chef ham". That was pompous, for sure.

I looked him up and noticed that they'd just left another coach (right before Skate America) and it was TBD who would be their next coach. They've had a lot of disappointments (she's had a lot of injuries). He'll be 30 soon. Knierem & Fraser will probably be Nationals champs in January. IDK...maybe he got tired of all that hard work and no top medals??

A few years ago, my EN&T referred me to a specialist at Georgetown. So, I went in, met her and we were discussing my symptoms. She asked if I'd brought my CD of a CAT scan that I'd recently had done. I gave it to her and she started playing it. We heard a male voice talking and looked at each other. It was so strange. We listened some more and all of a sudden I realized what it was. I'd grabbed a CD of a session I'd had with a medium instead of the CD of the scan. I wanted to die. Wanted the floor to open up so I could fall through. Tonight, while cleaning out a little file drawer in the kitchen, I found that CD and it reminded me of My Special Day at Georgetown Med.

Uh-oh...I forgot all about Alex. Wonder where she is?? Re: the green screen--I'd look at the background from time to time, thinking, "Why does it look like summer"...but then got back to my emails. That punch would've caused me to pass out. I'd like it with Prosecco & syrup, + garnishes. Re: GZ's fire? Fuhgeddaboudit. That's too scary for this cook!

Just watched today's show. GZ's ham looked good. I wonder if you could put a little of that sauce *on* the ham while it's still baking? And Jeff's tie-dyed, ugly sweater cookies were funny, as were his comments. I had to hit the mute & read emails while the mashed potato concoction in cocktail glasses was prepared. I liked Valerie's cream cheese log. I was shocked to see her lick her finger yet keep on preparing it (I know she never touched the food with that hand, but still...)

Grilled pork chops, mashed potatoes, green peas, and (for me) applesauce. My mother always served applesauce when we had pork chops for dinner (she said it was to help with digesting pork). I think a lot of people did that years ago. It was a nice food trip down memory lane.

I turned it on but he was babbling away, per usual, dominating the conversation...so I returned to CNN. He really loves to hear himself talk.

Watching it set my nerves on edge because even after women finally got the so-called *right* to vote, females were still considered second class citizens. But those suffragettes were brave and determined, thank God!

We don't care for turkey and the seafood restaurant we hoped to pick up dinner from was closed for the holiday. So I made Korean Ground Beef & Noodles which we really like. Then we received calls from our daughter, cousins, and friends. So, in a way it was a Thanksgiving "gathering" but of a different kind. This sure has been an interesting, challenging year for everyone.
