  1. When I was expecting my son, after the gender determining ultrasound they told us that our son only had one kidney ("unilateral renal agenesis" I think). After he was born, they found his second kidney hiding in his lower abdomen, by his bladder. It was at about 1% function in his infancy, and it is up to 30% now...so based on my single experience, kidneys seem pretty resilient!!
  2. Wasn't Matt legitimately in the building already, turning himself in as agreed upon? Isn't it more suspicious now that he disappeared? I do not understand why he didn't stay...
  3. For me, season 1 had a whimsy to it that is lacking in parts of season 2 and every episode of season 3 so far.
  4. I had trouble wrapping my mind around the passage of time during the series, and, as mentioned above, how the neighbourhood in Riverside did not look more dilapidated over time. Also, there was so much emphasis put on not going too far from the fountain, but then Oscar walks all the way to Oceanside without touching a Current. I think they did mention that the ocean functioned the same way as the fountain, so I guess that is why they were able to walk all that way under water at the end of the last episode...
  5. This felt so much more like seasons one and two, so I'm very happy.
  6. I feel like their fix to all (or most) of those questions will be that Simone is not really a "human".
  7. They are really losing me this season. I hope they throw in a sharp left turn that completely changes the dynamic of the season because right now I am bored and disappointed. Seasons one and two were just so great, and this is...blah. I agree with whomever above noted that Jameela Jamil saying this was her favourite season is the only thing that has kept me hanging on this week.
  8. I spotted a brief appearance of William Jackson Harper in an episode of 30 Rock, as a rioter rocking Liz Lemon's car.
  9. I totally agree about the necessity of pre-near death MRIs. And! What purpose does the moral philosophy lessons serve? I feel like I'm missing something...
  10. Apparently Canadians eat more "Kraft Dinner", as we call it, than any other country. It is definitely a comfort food for me too.
  11. I have to wonder if viewer's enjoyment of Trevor (both in this season and the first) has to do with residual love for his character on Parks & Rec...because I watched Season 1 of the Good Place without having watching P&R and found Trevor to be fine but nothing special, although comments on here made me feel like I was missing something. Between that time and now, I have binged P&R and found Trevor to be more entertaining upon rewatch. I was still ready to be done with him by the end of this episode.
  12. Since I was about 4 years old I have called my parents by their first names, due mainly to the fact that my mom had a daycare and all the other children were calling her by her first name. It's set me up to feel (too) comfortable calling everyone by their first names, even when I probably shouldn't.
  13. I never felt much emotional resonance with the finale. I was sad that there would be no new episodes, but as soon as Monica and Chandler announced they were moving (with that horrible clip show episode), I feel like the show lost something.
  14. The puppets alone would have been enough for me to say no to Sandy!
  15. I was also bored and haven't finished listening to that episode.
  16. This seems like a question for the creators, not a poster on this forum. They were writing about their early adult years with their group of friends. It was almost thirty years ago. Emphasis on diversity in casting has come up SINCE that time, and that's great, but hold it to 1994 standards, not 2018. On topic: I have not watched an episode in about 8 months, which must be a record for me. I'm trying to decide whether I should start at season 1 and watch right through, or jump around to my favourites to get back into it!
  17. Regarding the tailor, I absolutely agree. I probably shouldn't have quoted your post.
  18. I am obviously glad that our society is beginning to be much more critical of how sexual assault, racism, etc. is displayed in pop culture, but I also think that it needs to be remembered that Friends was airing from 1994-2004. While it's great to learn from the past, it hurts me just a little to watch Friends now get picked apart. I'm not sure how to reconcile the fact that Friends is problematic with the fact that ~and I hate to say this~ it was a different time.
  19. I skipped in initially, heard the tail end, and went back and listened. I love it!
  20. They also realized/decided that he really thrived doing physical comedy, so they threw him into more and more "zany" situations where he could show off his "skills".
  21. I do too. He was the best part of season two for me.
  22. I did not like how they ended things with Luke in Paradise, but overall I really enjoyed this season. Mariah wore on my last nerve and I am so glad she won't be back. I agree with the above poster that we likely won't see Bushmaster again, since Mariah is gone and he does not consider Tilda a "Stokes".
  23. I'm not sure if we're supposed to, but at this point I totally support Bushmaster's vendetta (not the casualties it has caused).
  24. Seriously, she needs to read the room a bit better. Pushing and pushing Luke is not an effective way of convincing him to reach out to his father; she had absolutely no patience.
