I agree about the auction. It was never one of my favorites, but I really hate that the advantage is stuck in there and the contestants purposely wait for it. Why not use the advantage during a reward, hide it like the II clue. Or better yet, hide it around camp. Also, I didn't like how people were able to get refunds last night. When has that ever happened? I've seen a lot of photos of Jenn post show and she didn't look that heavy. I wonder if she is one of those people who just has up and down issues with her weight constantly. I think she looked great at Ponderosa, just surprised that she lost almost nothing.
-
I don't know. In Jeff's interview he just said they could tell him they wanted to use their extra advantage, but I don't remember him saying they needed to present it. When the twist was being speculated, that was where a double vote theory originally came up. IIRC, Jeff said fans had suggested it. Someone had said it should be a clip that resembled an idol and just stuck to the extra vote during TC. That would be a better idea. If it resembled and idol, that's exactly what Tyler would think it was. Talk about causing paranoia. So if Tyler finds it, I guess he can get Dan under his thumb. Although Dan has the power, he can flip back to Mike and Shirin, use the extra vote, and take out someone in Rodney's group. It can be like high school and 'I've got a secret' out there. Seriously, how lucky is Tyler in finding out information though. First Carolyn blabs about her idol, then he sees Joe take the clue, and now he finds Dan's extra vote clue.

The editing this season is so aggrivating. There's more to the secret scenes/extra vids and interviews than the actual show. I don't mind Tyler, but Sierra bores me. I thought she might actually be a player, but all she's done is just fly under the radar and not make any moves. Which, if the strategy works for you, fine. But it's not much to sit in the final 3 and say you deserve a million for doing nothing. Tyler at least seems to be emerging as someone to watch. I feel like it's becoming another Natalie, except he's not out for revenge. He was MIA until a few episodes ago, and still isn't getting a ton of airtime compared to the others. But he's slowly coming out of the woodwork. And now he has a majority alliance. So maybe I'm wrong about Mike getting the winner's edit and it is going to be Tyler. Which wouldn't thrill me, but with Jenn gone, he's now my #2. And even after this episode, Rodney still remains my #3. I just can't get behind Mike as a winner. But what next? Do they return to Pagonging the outsiders? I thought this episode would be an actual blindside. All it was was Mike's paranoia screwing him over, and Dan getting an extra vote. I really can't believe they flip flopped and think they're chances are better with Rodney and the gang. Will is gold to take to the final 3. After flipping on the NC, and his blow up with Shirin, who is going to vote for him? That's 4 votes he's guaranteed not to have. Carolyn and Tyler don't look to be splitting up, and why would they get rid of the hot head? So if Shirin goes, and then Mike wins immunity again, where does that leave the 7 of them?

I think they need to stop casting superfans or any fans on this show for awhile and bring in people who've never seen an episode a day in their life. The so-called fans seem to be playing like the biggest idiots this season. I won't miss Mike, as long as Dan and Sierra get blindsided for flipping, but if Mike goes I hope Joe says 'I told you so' when he gets to Ponderosa. They just had to focus on getting the golden boy out rather than see what was going on around them.
-
Nope, no one can ever beat that. Micronesia and HvsV are two of my favorite Ponderosas ever. Coach, Courtney...how I miss thee. I wish they had started doing Ponderosas sooner. I can only imagine what it was like during Guatemala when Judd got voted off and probably went on a rant, or Panama when crazy Shane and Courtney arrived. I would have liked to have seen a pre-Ponderosa in Palau, just because it was almost one entire tribe there, minus 3. I can only imagine the reaction each week to continually seeing your tribe filter in. I still wish they would do a pre-jury Ponderosa. Anyone know if there's a particular reason? That'd be even more interesting, since they likely wouldn't know who was showing up. I never really realize until Ponderosa time hits how hard it is for the early jurors. They have so much down time, and it's got to be agonizing for someone like Joe that wanted to play so bad to know that the game is still going on out there without him. Also, Jenn lost no weight. I used to cringe at the sight of ribs sticking out and skin hanging, but good grief, they need to quit feeding these people so much! And actually, Jenn didn't even get the big food rewards early on. Yet Joe did, and so far he's lost more weight than the 2 girls. I wonder if she's a smoker in real life. I only say that because I remember all the way back to Borneo, there was an un-aired challenge (it was an extra on the DVD) where the contestants looked in a mirror and guessed how much weight they lost. Sue had lost nothing, but said she smoked and wasn't surprised. Could her being a vegetarian have anything to do with her non-weight loss? Anyway, just give them a shower and a big bed, and we'll essentially have Big Brother. In fact, why not just move them all into Ponderosa and only have them come out for the challenges. They can have a big bonfire and make s'mores.

I am still calling Mike or Tyler as the winner. Both have been about the least offensive, but each has made game changing moments. Even if they're subtle and we're not seeing them. But both Jenn and Joe commented on Tyler being a contender in their Ponderosa vids. What worries me is that outside the game Mike, Jenn, Hali, Joe, and Shirin seem especially close to each other. I really can't fathom a season where Probst would put so much hype and love into it where we get Rodney, Dan, or Will as a winner (heck, even Sierra). And I know they were all in the same season/tribe together, so of course they're going to be close outside the show. But I hope a lot of that bonding didn't have to do with spending a lot of time at Ponderosa together. Maybe Mike should have taken Joe's warning that he would be next to heart. Of course he has his idol to buy him time. I dislike Mike so much, though, so I really want him gone. Who don't I want gone at this point?

I usually look forward to the reunion show, and wish it was longer than the 30 or so minutes. But this year, I'm dreading it, and am glad commercials and announcing the winner cut into it. I can completely see why Jeff loves this season so much, although I'll stick with my own made up theory that he secretly thinks it's the worse but is laying it on thick as a laugh. Drama, fights, people to root against rather than for, misogynistic assholes that will blame it on the editing and that they were just trying to be memorable to get asked back. Sierra's question at the reunion will probably be 'did you have fun? Okay, moving on, you contributed nothing'. Seriously, between Dan, Rodney, Will, and Shirin, I don't even want to re-live any of this. At least there will be fan favorite Joe who can hopefully take away some of the pain. I feel like this is all happening in reverse order of how it should have went.

http://www.cbs.com/shows/survivor/video/V01In57M46Yij3Kz_qvnfArNsMPZmdio/survivor-ponderosa-jenn/ Hali made her a chicken crown. Both Hali and Joe wish she had cared more, since they actually wanted to be there and would have fought for it. I agree with them completely, but frankly, given that people that are left, I would have broken the rules and voted myself off. Seeing Jenn at Ponderosa is the Jenn I missed having. These 3 seem to be having so much fun, that I really wish the actual game could be this cool. If only. So many 'what ifs' this season. Jenn thinks Tyler will win, and I remember Joe saying something similar last week. And Hali is apparently channeling 'The Dragonz' (Coach's band from HvsV Ponderosa) by making up a song. I'll feel sorry for these 3 next week. Whoever gets voted off is going to put a damper on the place.
-
Sierra and Dan are worthless and have no clue how to play this game. They deserve what they get, which isn't the final 3. Hopefully they both go next. I just dislike almost everyone left that I don't even care who goes. They're all pretty much equal to me in terms of being the biggest assholes and most worthless floaters ever. Sierra and Dan deserve to get blindsided. Frankly, I'd almost welcome a Rodney win. He's deplorable, but so is everyone else left. At least he's attempted to be proactive in the game. What has Sierra or Dan done? Carolyn? Tyler? Well, Tyler may not disappoint. I can't even say Shirin has done a hell of a lot, but she's my last hope.
-
The only reason for me to FF to the end is because my favorites are in the jury. That's it. I have a feeling there was more to the Shirin and Will blow up. With the editing being what it is this season, there had to be.
-
I've heard that too, although Joe denied it in interviews and said they are just really close friends. He said something about Jenn being younger than him, but she's not that much younger. Maybe it's more lifestyle differences. I don't know, is there some rule that if castoffs are dating each other they can't talk about it until after the season or both are voted off? Also, is it totally wrong I'd take food over a letter from home? I guess I'd have to be in that situation, but having friends and family that have been deployed overseas for months at a time, I guess I just roll my eyes at these guys tearing up over family visits and letters after being gone for a month.
-
I guess it's Will's turn to be Mr. Nasty. I'm so over these people I wish they'd all just get into an all-out brawl and burst into oblivion or turn into one of those clouds we see on cartoons when cats and dogs are fighting and then go out into the jungle, never to be seen again. I understood Will's anger tonight, I just wish he had handled it better. But I get it. He was nice to them, and they screwed him over by spreading a bunch of lies. Doesn't Mike remember what that was like back during day #1 when his tribe accused him of holding out? Anyway, this season can't get over soon enough for me. I'm more into Ponderosa now that 3 of my favorites are there. Truthfully, I'm surprised Will is still there. He seems to be phoning it in at this point. I have a feeling there was more to that outburst, especially if it got rubbed into him about the family letter.
-
I totally get that, and it's why I said a small part of me felt sorry for Will. However, I thought he crossed a line, and it's also because I don't care about these people at this point. Plus, he went off on Shirin over the other two. I understand what you're saying, though. The 3 of them deserved something, but not to the extent Will gave it, and not just Shirin. I can understand Will's perspective, given all the circumstances from the auction until that point, on top of being there for 24(?) days. I don't think Shirin expected that. If it wasn't voluntary to tune in, I think they owe each of us a million dollars for putting up with this crap cast this season. Best ever? I can't even believe the cast themselves would hype this shit up to the extent they have. It's embarrassing all around.
-
I will miss you Jenn. Hope to see you back on another season with better people. Don't lose the snark and free spirit that we saw in the beginning. Unfortunate luck of the draw that you wound up on the wrong side of numbers. Was hoping you'd get spared, but obviously people are following the alliances. No wonder they felt the need to introduce an advantage, it was getting too obvious and still is. Thanks for the memories of your great idol play, the 'f-yeah' winning your tribe the RC, and the funny confessionals back when you were still a No Collar. So much for an underdog story this year. I guess in the Disney/90s kid movie universe, the villains win this one.
-
I believe they pretty much solidified Mike winning tonight. No spoilers, just a hunch. He talked about flippers never winning. I can't believe Sierra and Dan did it. I mean, maybe Sierra, but what does this get her? It's why I think she's worthless. I figured Dan would stay glued to Mike's ass the rest of the game. So Mike went from being top dog to becoming a threat. So now he's an underdog. Still thinking Tyler has a shot, too. He's playing pretty good, for a guy I can't even remember being there. I hope next season, assuming we get a season full of bullies again, that we get some strong minded women that will stand up and give them a smack down. As far as TC, was there the need for all that drama because the most obvious person to go home got voted off?
-
Honestly this is one of the worst seasons ever. I don't even care anymore, nothing exciting is happening, it has just about the meanest cast ever (and brother, that's saying something considering we've had Fairplay, Russell, and Colton). No one is doing anything except following orders. I thought we might actually see some action tonight. The blue collars are the worst of the worst to represent. They're like the backwoods family on a b-list horror movie with all their talk about trust and loyalty. Sierra is one of the most worthless people to be in this game at this point. All talk, but does nothing except expect to float to the end and collect a million for being nice. Hey, with this group, it might work. Mike is probably Terry 2.0 and will be hard to get rid of at this point. Is it next season yet?
-
All that hype and drama and explosive shockers only for Jenn to go?!
-
http://www.pdga.com/quest-survival Here's a quote from Mike about tonight's episode. I know that the contestants will obviously hype their own season and episodes as the greatest ever (this season especially seems to be worse than I remember). But for the season to be salvaged as being good for me, I'd need the rest of the season to be like this. Not just changing course and picking off another alliance. I know there will be bad episodes mixed in there, but this season had a lot more of them. SJDS, sorry I ever insulted you.

I do believe we're due for a blindside (or what they consider a blindside even if we don't). There's a bunch of different things I can see happening, reasons why everyone could be targeted, people being given false hope only to get their name written down. I could see this vote doubler working a bunch of different ways, though I have to think it ends up benefiting whoever buys it. The only 2 I wouldn't consider blindsides at this point are Jenn and Shirin. Mike and Rodney would be the biggest, and if they don't get rid of Mike, just write him the check and call it a season. I still wonder if Mike would turn on Rodney because of the BC loyalty, but considering it's Rodney he might. Especially if he thinks the remainder of Rodney's alliance would flock to him. What I'd like to see happen is Rodney get voted off, and then the remaining WC/NC team up and pick off the rest of the BC. Of course what happens in my head is far more interesting than what happens on the show. Since there's talk about "blowing something up" and "explosive shockers" that could be a subtle dig at how Rodney takes getting blindsided. Since Will gets the episode quote and talks in the promo about it being the best TC ever (we'll see), it could also be him. I could see Jenn gladly advocating getting rid of him. At least Ponderosa will be interesting. ETA: Usually CBS has the title for the following episode up by now, but I noticed that they still don't. I wonder if it's too much of a giveaway.
-
I don't know that anyone does, but I'm thinking Shirin might and use that to try and get Carolyn ousted. Carolyn did make some moves early on, though since the WC tribe only went to tribal once as a group, we didn't see much strategy. I could just see Shirin going with that in an effort to get Carolyn ousted. It could be a revenge thing, too. I would probably go with Tyler as being perceived as a bigger threat, immunity wise, but if he wins the IC, then I can see them targeting Carolyn. It would benefit Mike's group to knock of a member of Rodney's alliance, and break up the last 2 WC that are close to each other. Shirin isn't with Carolyn or Tyler and won't go back to them, nor could I see Carolyn aligning with her at this late stage. In fact, Rodney could get blindsided and Mike would probably feel comfortable with his 5 of Dan, Sierra, Shirin, and Jenn (just assuming those 2 girls vote with him). There's a bunch of different outcomes I can see happening tomorrow. One of them is that if Shirin or Jenn uses the vote doubler, but the other 7 still vote against one of them, getting that twist out of the way and still knocking one of the outsiders out. However, I doubt Probst would hype the twist and say it worked perfectly if that happened. Another theory is that someone in Rodney's 4 gets the vote doubler, they vote for Mike which would give them enough to get him voted off or tie it. But Mike plays his idol, and whoever his group votes for is sent packing. I'm calling any of Carolyn, Jenn, Rodney, and possibly Tyler as potential boots. I do wonder if after Will blows up at Shirin, if that's where Mike and Rodney have their dust up too, and if it involved Mike standing up for Shirin. So far I've been disappointed with any sort of blow up this season, as they've all amounted to nothing. The more they hype tomorrow's episode as being "explosive" and "shocking", the less excited I am. I just dislike or am bored by almost everyone left, and it really doesn't mean much if the season finally picks up 4 weeks from the finale. I will keep watching, however, despite getting a sinking feeling they are going for a Mike win. I would love nothing more than for him to be the one getting blindsided tomorrow and that shit eating grin wiped from his face. At least there's Joe and his hair to look forward to in the last 5 minutes, and of course the next installment of Ponderosa.

https://youtu.be/w7sSXq1i4po Another promo. I notice that when Mike is talking to Dan about blowing the game up, and Dan is talking to Sierra, he looks like he's got tears in his eyes. I wonder if that is left over from the note from home or if he gets into it with someone again. Maybe someone finally spilled it to him that's done nothing in this game other than be Mike's #2, and that he'll only go to the final 3 because he can be beat. Also, when Will says 'bring the popcorn' it does appear that they are still at the auction, if those are the love letters in front of Jeff. I wonder if everyone is made aware of the twist that someone buys and that's where that comment comes from. Will could probably do a lot of damage if he bought it. I don't want to see Mike, Dan, Sierra, Tyler, or Carolyn get it because they would screw it up or have someone decide for them. And I don't like 4 of those 5 people (Tyler I'm still in the middle on). Shirin, while I think would go to Mike, could maybe take the chance and stand on her own two feet and make a decision for herself. Jenn, Rodney, and Will would likely be the most interesting to get a hold of it. I have a feeling either it'll end up being used to cause a split vote and flush out the idol (hopefully Mike, because I can't stand the thought of him and Dan sitting there on their logs at TC with those smirks on their faces), or be used to get even with someone.
-
Yeah, I was kind of disappointed by that, too. Way to make it obvious. Personally, I think if someone were to buy that (or any advantage during the auction), they shouldn't be allowed to share it. They should have to make the decision all on their own when to use it. Also, some people had put in the speculation thread about the immunity necklace and the compass attached, and that maybe the compass had something to do with the twist this season. I figured it was just a decoration, but then started convincing myself maybe it really had something to do with the twist or the merge idol (which I don't know if their is one at this point). However, that would have been kind of a cool twist, too. They need the fans running the show lol I was still hoping for the black vote that had been used in international versions. Of course, Jeff had said something about the game continuing to evolve in the next two seasons with new twists being added, so maybe that is still to come. I have a feeling this double vote will return as well in the future.

http://survivorfever.net/s30_press_images_ep10.html More press images. We see one of Rodney's group of 4 looking happy with themselves, so I have a feeling a blindside is coming their way. Also there's one of Jenn with a look on her face-I can't tell if it's a sad look or if it's a look of disbelief/surprise. I've been waiting for something, anything, exciting to happen to blow this game wide open. But now that is may happen, and that we're getting this twist that's been hyped all season, I'm not looking forward to it. Probably because it's going to benefit some of the people left that I despise. I don't care for Carolyn or Will at this point, but I really don't want to see anything happen to advance Mike and Dan. I'm ready for Sierra to leave, too. I almost wish they'd throw twists in throughout the season, or introduce it earlier. This close to the finale, it's almost like it was put there because nothing was happening, so they had to create drama and suspense.
-
There's one reason that I believe Rodney might not make it to the final 3, and that you could be right about this week. It was this quote from one of Joe's interviews: http://xfinity.comcast.net/blogs/tv/2015/04/16/survivor-castaway-joe-part-of-jenn-wants-to-be-at-ponderosa-with-hali/ It might not mean anything, but 'back rows' could mean sitting behind him during the finale, which is where the early jury boots usually are. I'm still skeptical that Mike will get rid of Rodney at this point. Although he may figure that if it is down to Will, Carolyn, and Tyler, Jenn and Shirin won't flip to them. I could actually see those 3 attempting to wiggle into Mike's alliance. I'd be more than happy if you are right though wings707! And of course my theory would have to be right that Shirin wins the special vote doubler. Maybe that whole conversation with Dan and him saying she doesn't understand basic math was foreshadowing to this vote. Rodney is one of the few people left I'm rooting for, so I will be very disappointed if he gets voted off. Mike could be the one that ends up with the extra vote, and could use it for leverage against Rodney or to get someone in his alliance to flip. Jeff did say something about this being the best or most memorable food auction. Will's comment about 'bring the popcorn' surprised me, just because of where it looked like it was said. In a group, before/after a challenge, and he mentions TC. So I'm guessing the blow up with Rodney and Mike already happened, and that Will went off on Shirin at the point. Maybe everyone becomes aware of the extra vote and attempts to sway Shirin, or whoever, on their side. Could be that Will anticipates Mike being blindsided, but either he gets sent packing or it is someone in his foursome.
-
I'm thinking Carolyn for several reasons: she's in a two-person alliance with Tyler, final 4 deal with Rodney, hasn't really ruffled any feathers that could cost her a lot of votes in the jury, she's not too bad in the challenges and could probably prove a convincing argument in the final 3. Plus, she has flip flopped, so if she feels the heat coming, she might try and find greener pastures. Shirin was targeting her to Mike last week. She and Shirin don't get along, and she could see this as an opportunity to get rid of a perceived power player and someone that was gunning for her. I don't see a BC going home. I believe Mike will want to keep his blues around for numbers since Rodney is the only one with a brain in the game to flip. But if Rodney has no other option than to go back to Mike, he's got another number and someone that has ruffled feathers. Will doesn't do much, isn't a threat in any way other than being a flip flopper. But he's stayed loyal to Mike for now and Mike may not want to ruin that if Carolyn goes and he wants Will on his side. It's possible they could do a split vote, in case someone has the idol, between Carolyn, Will, or Jenn. However, since the former NC alliance was in the stages of being picked off, Mike and the gang may want to give Jenn a break and maybe try and get some good favor with her by going after someone else. However, I'm hoping I'm wrong and that Mike or Dan (at this point I dislike both of them equally so I don't care who) is the one who gets sent packing. It would be in Shirin's best interest to can Mike.
