  1. Victor! Bless his grumpy heart! I love his grumbling, his cursing, his impatience... and most especially his disdain for Clyde. He is truly DAYS' greatest treasure. I can't believe he's saddled with Naggie Maggie. I was happy to see the blue streak back in Kate's hair. She should be with Victor, and they should squash the DiMeras like bugs.
  2. I tried to watch the Brooke/Donna scene, but I just cannot listen to Brooke's babygirl voice as she patiently explains why DESTINY! shall prevail.
  3. THANK YOU for expressing this so well. Geary HAD his GH-funded vanity project -- Bill and his entire bloody boring family -- and it ate and nearly killed the show. I'd argue that the past decade has been a vanity project, as he destroyed the character of Luke from the inside -- with his acting choices -- and the outside -- his constant carping to the press and public over how much he hates the "tame" Luke. IMO, he should have been warned after the first such interview and fired after the second. But Fluke takes soap-funded vanity projects to a new, and horrible level. It's worse than OG Franco, because at least Franco LEFT after making us miserable. And it boggles my mind how Geary could be proud of his acting as Fluke. It's big fish/small pond syndrome. I've seen it with small groups a lot -- someone gets power and it completely goes to their head, and they completely lose perspective. I've seen people betray their ethics and beliefs for power in a group of less than 200 people. Geary seems to forget that only a few million people watch GH, and that outside of that world, he's pretty much irrelevant (now) other than "the guy who raped Laura". It's got to suck when the spotlight moves away but that's what happens. If a man said that to me, I'd want to slap the crap out of him. What a smug, narcissistic response!
  4. I will stab myself in the neck if this happens. I lived through Zarf (AMC) and I can't do it again.
  5. DESTENNAE! RuntheTable, I want to propose to you on a runway!
  6. Ohio Songbird, do you know about Boinkberry? It's even better than Brooke & Oliver! Brooke and Thomas had shared an extremely inappropriate public kiss (stunt by Thomas), which was ratchething Taylor up into hysterics, when they were stranded on an island (plane crash, was it?), and the only food they could find were psychedilic berries, which lead to the most hysterical hallucination ever filmed, I swear, and the lingering (oh my god, did it linger) question of Did They Boink or What? Stephanie got involved, there were stock shenanegins, Taylor's hatred of Brooke went over the top, it was great.
  7. ALL OF THIS. Will fills me with such rage that I can no longer stand to watch him. The only scenes I want to see of him are of him losing everything. How the hell did Ari G come to be conceived? Was Will unsure about his orientation at the time?
  8. I enjoyed the marathon, and have gone back several times to the episode Closer than Sisters. Sir Malcolm has a line that encapsulates his egomaniacal approach to life: It struck me very hard that the destruction of his family was a conclusion he could live with, if he had been the (direct) cause.
  9. You mean talking? Yes, yes it is. Yes! Santa's Grumpiest Elf (TM unknown poster a few pages back) needs to be on Sonny's side!!!Edited to add: I find the idea that Will's lack of sexual experience with a man in some way excuses his cheating, or makes it understandable to be incredibly offensive.
  10. My hatred of Will knows no bounds. I hate his raging sense of entitlement, both in his personal and "professional" life. I hate his utter incompetence at his joke of a job. I hate his cowardice -- getting in after Sonny was asleep and leaving before he woke up? What a crappy excuse for a man.
  11. Oh gods, I just cannot with this show. Poor darling dim Morgan -- if he isn't revealed as the father, I am going to vomit blood. Sonny is the most vile and disgusting creature. He does not deserve that lovely child. His parting shot at Ava made me cringe. I (unexpectedly) enjoyed Ava naming her daughter. Maura West is stunning when she's not covered in makeup, and I found her quietly effective today. Feel free to shut the fuck up, Alexis. Throwing shade at Olivia? Really? This is why I can't be having with Alexis -- she persists in acting like a teenager several decades after that shit ceases to be attractive. I have never seen her in a mature, adult relationship. I remember thiinking she and Jax could have made it work, back in the day, but even then she was getting too old to be so immature with men. While I'm being negative, Bobbie looks even more horrendous than usual. Something about her overly manicured eyebrows and her brow ridge is just creeping me out. I refuse to watch TG. Period. I'm a hater. But... but... Billy Miller gives me life. I loved his look when he opened the door to find Carly. It so clearly said, "Yes, this is just as bad a mistake as I thought it would be!" Welcome to BFF status with Carly -- she will barge in on you anytime, anywhere, for any reason, grinning like a maniac. And hooray for a Julian/Lucas scene! And hooray for Julian telling him the truth! That was a solid scene, and I really liked it. Question for those who hung in while I was on a break: did Johnny really kill Anthony? Thank you!
  12. I wish (More than anything, more than life! More than riches!) the writers would give Kate something to do other than make horrible comments about Jordan. I hate it when Kate is so demeaned and diminished. I mean, seriously, she called Jordan a "dull as dishwater slut"! Jordan! I was so confused, I actually said aloud (to my cats), "But that's ABIGAIL, not Jordan!". This is so beneath Kate. I know she often stoops low, but she's so much more interesting when she doesn't. And I hate hate HATE her being taken in by Clyde. Free Kate (and her multiple necklaces)!
  13. THANK YOU! Jen acts as if she is entitled to know every thought JJ has. Intead of being glad JJ had found someone to talk to, she was enraged that it wasn't HER. I laughed, because so do I, Eve. So do I.
  14. I would also much prefer a mature Steffy -- remember, she's quite a few years older than Hope. I would love for her to get involved in the business again -- she is the one who got Forrester back from Bill! (Steffy+Bill forever!)
  15. slayer2, Aly is Darla and Thorne's kid. As a little girl, she flipped out when she found out Taylor, who was about to marry Thorne, was the drunk driver who killed her mother. IIRC, she cut up Taylor's wedding dress. When she apppeared this year, she was very shy and withdrawn and had had some severe trouble with being bullied. Check out the deleted scene a page or two back between her and Ivy; she talks about never having had a real friend. Aly's mental health issues have been laid out for us in a couple of ways; primarily, the fact that she sees and talks to Darla on a regular basis. (Darla appears as a floating head surrounded by light, I shit you not.) She was also hysterically protective of Hope and Hope/Liam and completely unable to deal with her idol Hope not only having sexual feelings, but acting on them with Wyatt. The bet mental health wtf moment, however, was when she declared that she could, and I quote, "smell the evil" of Quinn. She's referenced it since -- she said to someone that she was surprised they couldn't smell the evil. ETA: Or what bytor said!
  16. Re Alexis: I agree that her cleavage pushes the boundaries of appropriate, but the two things that really drive me up the wall are her hair and eyes. Her hair never looks good, imo, but yesterday was a new low with those extra-long stringy bangs. And her eye makeup was jarringly bad. I mean, I did better eye makeup as a teenager, and I SUCK at makeup application! (That's why I don't wear it anymore.)
  17. ICAM! I am Team Theresa all the way. Her eyes just kill me. Speaking of, I wanted to kill Brady for manhandling her the other day, and Melanie for tearing into her when she was already so upset. I thought Stefano's voice was a little reedy or strained today. It was a little off.
  18. I will never forgive Hope for her coldness about Steffy's miscarriage. I have really loved the last 2 deleted scenes between Ivy and Aly. They are quickly becoming two of my favorites.
  19. Could Adrienne be more of a pushy, nosy, unpleasant bitch? No wonder Justin left. It infuriates me that she demands that Sonny talk to her. Was she always this unpleasant?
  20. ITA. I was expecting Jax to deliberately wipe out where his dad died. Suicide by cop was my second theory. Scarring some poor innocent trucker for *life*, oddly enough, wasn't on my list.I was hoping against hope that we'd see both Venus and Lyla one last time, safe and well. I've had a soft spot for Lyla since she first came on the scene. And to see Venus and Tig together one last time -- that was beautiful. Most importantly, I got my wish: Wendy and the kids safe with Nero on the farm. I couldn't draw a breath until the closing credits because I was so afraid Jax would get a phone call saying there had been a terrible accident and screw me out of the only happy ending that I absolutely HAD to get. It gutted me to watch Jax burn all of his journals, his father's manuscript, and the old pictures, But it made more sense to me after Jax's talk with Nero -- Jax didn't want to leave mementos upon which his son could build the image of a good man. He didn't want Abel to romanticize the life. (And how great was it for Jax to acknowledge that he's not a good man?) The bodycount was ridiculously high, as expected, and frankly I lost track of who was being killed why, but I've had to put up with worse (re: Ireland) from this show.
  21. At least she didn't miscarry via tripping over a potted plant....
  22. Not Shouty McYellerson! (I do cat rescue, and one particular kitten was wailing for attention and would. not. stop. for. hours. I named her Shouty McYellerson.) The real tragedy is that Ron probably didn't even think about the implication of using those two words.
