ITAWhen Ezra was revealed to be stalking the liars because he knew Ali and dated her long before Aria, all the pieces fell into place and the entire A mistery / motives just clicked. And I think it's mostly because most we always felt something was off about Ezra. Talk about missed opportunities... What he did to Aria is not ok and it's just jarring to watch him walk around and whine about what a dark cruel world we live in. I think, for me at least, the only way the show can be redeemed (or try at least) is by having Ezra be the ultimate big bad. I highly doubt it though because as you said, fan service!

This is great!!! I miss Stefan and Klaus together. I hope Caroline doesn't tag along because I don't wanna be reminded of how much great chemistry she had with Klaus and how much she doesn't have that with Stefan, and of course how much Klaus doesn't have it with Cami.

Am I the only one who's not very excited about the rest of the season? I thought I'd be over the finale by now but I can't say I am... At this point I think I'll keep watching just so I can join in on the snark with you guys! This said, happy new year and see you after the episode airs!

This really bugs me because apparently the scene we saw in the finale is not where we'll be starting off at 6B. So why bait the shippers to something that is obviously not happening?

I'm thinking that as well... My speculation is that Beau somehow escaped the stab with the sword. Didn't one of the heretics say that she was reunited with beau and that other Heretic at some point? This means they were separated at some point... I hope it's not Stefan's daughter but there's definitely some sort of connection there.

I like to think of it as Damon being behind the punk movement! Is anyone else thinking that the huntress is Valerie and Stefan's child?? I don't know how she would be tied to the Phoenix stone and the sword but when Valerie said she tried to cast that spell and failed I thought this has to be important because when someone on this show says something it's always the opposite. Like Valerie saying her pregnancy is a dark secret to be kept forever and here we are a few episodes later and everyone knows about it. I did like that Caroline didn't lose her shit over that news. I think I ship her and Valerie more than Steroline or Valerie /Stefan.

STAKE THEM YOU FOOLS! Just finished this episode and it wasn't bad but I just don't understand why Freya and Rebekah did not stake the Strix vamps! Though it did seem like Aya has been tailing Becks for a while now and even set up her meeting with the witch... But then again, they could have waited for Rebekah to get the spell and come to New Orleans and restore her to her original body and dagger her there so the plan seems useless especially that The Strix is supposed to be a bunch of vampires with ground breaking intelligence and whatnot. I don't mind Klaus and Aurora so much, anything to keep him away from Cami really. I just wish her story was hinted at in the earlier seasons. Like just one line about Klaus having his heart broken way back when by his psychotic soulmate or whatever. Love Elijah and Marcel. I laughed so hard when Elijah said: Marcellus when I ask you to take out the trash... So what's with the super old super powerful vampire? I don't understand why Elijah and Becks were so alarmed when they knew he was around. Are we going to get some back story on him? Or are the writers trying to show us how powerful Hayley is because she managed to bite the guy and tie him up with a rope? I like that Elijah's misdeeds are unraveling. It's a nice continuity from last season's red door plot.

Valerie already broke the life changing news to Caroline! Matt already started diving into the mystery of the residents of Mystic Falls... Which by the way I'm looking forward to because it's one of the creepiest things I've seen on this show. Mystic Falls High is almost as creepy as Sunny Dale High and it's not even on a hellmouth! I wonder what childhood memories the Salvatore brothers will be digging into to change Lily's mind about Julian. This doesn't exactly make sense since they hardly know him... But hey human Salvatores flashbacks are always welcome! I really enjoyed the family drama last week with Stefan and Damon sitting in the chair like children about to be punished and Lily acting like such a housewife. I wonder what the secret is. Weirdly enough I'm kind of on board with this season (minus the Caroline character assassination arc). Enzo stars in a duel! Michael Malarkey oughta hang this synopsis on his bedroom wall or something.

I wondered about that too! The dream sequence was hilarious. Stefan with a toupee always amuses me and the whole dream was just so on the nose. DO YOU GET IT? This show was never subtle but this is a whole new level. I do like where Stefan is now. I know a lot of people don't like his character but I always loved him mostly because of the way Paul Wesley portrayed him. If you think about it, Stefan is a lot like Bill Compton and yet I find BC to be one of the most despicable characters in the history of TV... Loved all his scenes with Damon. I thought Caroline was funny with Valerie and trying to send her to Seattle (they have a space needle!) but man Valerie chewed her down with her comeback. She's obviously competing over Stefan's heart. But I'm not interested in the love triangle. I just like where Stefan is at emotionally...

I just remembered that Emily is gay. Funny how much I don't think about this show anymore. So yes, just Spencer and Hanna really...

I thought it might be Lexi but whoever is in Jo's body is a very old vampire since they have no idea how to live in this world. Jenna would be awesome but I'd like Lexi even more because Stefan needs a friend right now and because I want Lexi and Alaric to happen! Agreed on Defan roadtrip that scene in the car was hilarious! Also. My own speculation about the huntress is that she was the one to kill all the vampires with the X mark (hence Not Jo saying she was stabbed in the heart) as her signature and she trapped them in the Phoenix stone. Julian's death confuses me. Was it Oscar that killed him? Or did he just hide him? Because Damon and Stefan were talking about how Oscar killed him as I guess it's what they think happened. Valerie didn't confirm this though. So maybe it was the huntress after all?
