  1. I am technically a conservative by virtue of the fact of my registered political party and by mostly how I vote on certain issues, however, PLEASE do not throw anyone who is Republican or "conservative" under the same bus as the one Roseanne's been driving! And not all Trump voters and supporters are vile racists as some people would have everyone think.
  2. Roseanne Barr really screwed everyone involved. What she said in her latest tweet is reprehensible and why she felt the need to say it at all to the public in general boggles my mind. Then she tells us it was a joke, like we just don't get it. WTF?
  3. It's like scorched earth. No reruns of the Original Recipe seasons, no Emmy awards nominations now, nothing.
  4. Hopefully the actress Emma Kenney will be successful in her rehabilitation process and get a role she is more suited to and shines in. I applaud her for having quit the show before she actually found out about the cancellation.
  5. 'OMG. Unbelievable. Wow. It's too bad Roseanne self-destructed like this leaving the rest of her cast mates, crew, etc. in the lurch. I think what Roseanne tweeted was abhorrent and shows she is crazier than I ever thought she was.' After that racist and ugly tweet, I think ABC made the right decision to just scrap the whole show. Roseanne Barr can't get involved saying part of it is hers because she created the character, etc., and everyone is off the hook as to trying to explain why they would still be in the show. If there could be a "new" show about the Conners, sans Roseanne, like some people have suggested, it could work if they didn't talk about her anymore and didn't have such political divisiveness. I doubt that will happen though. Roseanne just cooked her own golden goose and has announced she is off Twitter now. Too little, way too late. She should just go back to her nut farm where she apparently belongs.
  6. Keith Morrison brings us a ... love story? I was bored with this one as the ending was obviously going to end up happy. When the third surprising bit of news for Zach's parents was to be revealed, I called that it was Georgia's pregnant. I wonder why only her cousin was interviewed and not her parents, if they are in NZ. I may have missed something there. Thank goodness they didn't stretch this one out into a two-hour segment!
  7. The actress who played Lourdes was OTT, as well as the long, drawn-out torture scenes so we could get in all her suffering and anxiety. She may have been raped and abused by a coyote but she had a pretty nice life where she wanted to live, in the U.S, in NYC, so why go batshit crazy over the abuser to the point of taking out an innocent bystander (well, he didn't do anything to her)? I didn't feel any sympathy for her at all and the OTT Bensonbonanza of feeling, knowing, and understanding just what Lourdes had gone through, and that she was telling the truth from Minute 1, was just too much.
  8. Very disappointed in this season finale. We had a backslide straight back into St. Olivia Benson Hour. Lourdes is perhaps the most unsympathetic victim ever. The torture scenes were too long and as someone else mentioned, why didn't Miguel shout at the camera what address he's being held at gunpoint? I am really angry that they introduced Stone's sister only to have her be the shock death for the finale. How many more times is Benson going to give up her weapon? In real NYPD, does that even happen?
  9. I agree with you. I don't think my wording of my OP was clear enough now that I read it again. I meant to say I didn't even think that as being the case while I was watching the show, but can see that it probably is now that someone else mentioned it! That would make sense as to why Vanessa went to find him as she left her daughter at home. If there was a Season 2, hopefully Vanessa and her new friend/boyfriend would spill the beans to Lilette, form a family by getting married and Vanessa could forget all about the Coach. Coach would go back to his wife and they could start over again and Gwen could stop hating her father and start smiling again.
  10. I've been wondering if they shot two endings, depending on whether they got canceled or not. Canceled series ending used is the one where drama dept. is shut down. Happy ending version we'll never know. I guess this means that Miss Wolfe's only other job at Stanton High is teaching sex ed. Lou taught English, I think? I wish they could start a new show with Rosie Perez as the lead and get the students after graduation to be in her college class or dance studio or something like that.
  11. Or Totally F*cked, depending on the version the show.
  12. Lou didn't listen to anyone so Lou's reality was not if he screwed up the entire program would go. Tracey was being manipulated by the principal toward the end to get rid of Lou that way, but Tracey was going to be the head of the department and it was going to go on.
  13. I really enjoyed the Spring Awakening Opening Night performance. I'm sad to see the show end here, as there are lots of stories that needed to be continued, and could have. Someone in another episode thread thought Sasha and Michael might be a couple on the road to marriage and I thought not, but after this episode, I guess that poster could be right! I was surprised Michael thinks Sasha should have an abortion though. I would want to see Season 2 reveal that Sasha has her baby and she copes with the help of her father, at least. So many unanswered questions. I didn't even think that Vanessa's new boyfriend (who she obviously looked up when she was MIA) is really Lilette's father. I like that Tracey put her anger at Lou and their differences aside and saved the show by locating the needed prop gun on the phone, and then showing up!
  14. I don't believe Lou thought the entire Stanton High drama program was going to be shut down. He figured he would be fired and he basically sacrificed his job for the sake of the students so they could fulfill their dreams of performing the show, as is. Wait! Am I defending Lou? I guess I am. It is the school admin's decision to scrap the whole program, not Lou's. I know this is fiction, but it really angers me that another arts program bites the dust, and this time not only because of budget cuts, but of small-minded PTA members and school administrators. I truly don't like that principal after all.
  15. Kids these days are very sophisticated about using apps and the latest technology on computers, smartphones, etc. His premeditation is a clear path to first degree murder. He planned it ahead of time, he did not want to just talk to Dannie and then snapped. Oh, and bringing the cinder blocks and rope? Here's a pound of dark chocolates in a pretty box with a gold ribbon on it. I'm not throwing them at you.
  16. Like Rafael Esparza, Kelli is singing the praises of Saint Olivia as BFF. I wonder if it's true or just PR or if she has to say that to keep the peace and the train rolling with The Almighty Mariska, Executive Producer.
  17. Not our Olivet! She simply cannot go rogue! If they assassinate the character of another return character, I will be fuming.
  18. No problem, sometimes our intentions of facetiousness, snarkiness and sarcasm don't translate to text-only posts! :D She was a bit on the dramatic side. "I couldn't sleep. <Pause> I couldn't eat." Just to mention one, and her delivery was, well, intense! ETA: I wouldn't want to be on her bad list or meet her in a dark alley. I think Andrea is an attractive, pretty woman who has a lot of style sense. Her outfits are a little too casual and skimpy in my view of what a hard-hitting journalist/reporter should be wearing on the set though. She must change her clothes every 20 minutes during the entire taping of one episode. She does get a little crazy with the way she tries to relate to the people.
  19. I was thinking that Nicole ran out of the Sardine Can bar and that's where she encountered Burch, on the street between bars. Remember, he had been a patron of Richard Cranium's Bar on the same street. He might have given her the old southern gentleman routine like what's wrong, honey, why are you upset, and she stopped to talk to him and he charmed her (I know, but it could've happened) into his car for a ride home, but things turned violent and he ended her life. I think that by now if Doug had been in cahoots with George Burch, Burch would have spilled the beans by now, as he's behind bars wearing an orange jumpsuit for the rest of his life. He put that story together and it worked, for a few days.
  20. Angela seemed a bit intense to me also, but she was vindicated in her belief that Doug didn't murder Nicole, so she could give her interview full steam, if you will. I don't think she killed Nicole as there's no suspicion or evidence to support that. Matching hair (extensions). Lotsa makeup, kind of like Andrea's stage makeup. The one on their right (to our left as viewers) kept looking over at the other friend strangely, I thought. Nicole, while being blonde too, didn't seem to be the third musketeer in the makeup dept., as her photos looked like she sported a more natural look. Shallow, I know, but I do notice these things.
  21. You have apparently not heard of the Friday Night Death Slot. With a few exceptions, mainly for soap opera style nighttime dramas such as Dallas and Falcon Crest, unless shows are geared toward children or teens or are action shows kids would like, Friday night is usually a bad time to put on fledgling shows trying to find its audience.
  22. I would have liked this show if it reflected the real Lou Volpe and Tracey Gatte relationship. Lou Mazzu was just not likeable or sympathetic. I got interested in the stories and wanted to see the performance of Spring Awakening.
  23. Brooklyn Nine-Nine was canceled and has now been picked up by NBC. Maybe another network can pick it up, if not a streaming channel or cable. It's a pity to see wonderful actors and powerful stories go to waste.
  24. Fox screwed The Exorcist's ratings by airing it live on Friday nights. Any show with meaning and intelligence shouldn't be relegated to date night/going out night when the 18-49 crowd aren't staying home in droves to watch TV.
