  1. Wendy is Leia. I think Taylor is Luke and Wags is Chewie, but those could be switched.
  2. I loved the opening with Prince and Wendy. I want to know what happened so much. I don’t think I’ve ever cared about Prince until now. They seemed to push the idea that Wendy still has feelings for Axe. I admit to shipping them, but this doesn’t feel positive. More like she’s being set up for a fall. I continue to like Dave. Chuck is an idiot to make an enemy of her. He was never going to be able to hack it in her plan, and that’s not a positive. I hope she makes him regret it. “You can save the dime store critiquing of my case building dude” to Prince was great. Taylor and partner (I don’t remember his name) are annoying. I love that they brought back Dollar Bill though, in my mind just to fuck with Prince. I love that when push comes to shove, Wags and Wendy stick together. That was missing last season. Taylor I can take or leave, but I love those two together. I smiled just like she did when he called her one of his favorite people. Mafee is an idiot. I love her, but once again he’s doing favors for Wendy. How many times does she have to screw him over? Chuck can fuck right off with his guilt tripping about how much time Wendy spends with the kids. Was Bobby pissed that Wendy stayed with Prince? Your guy, there everyday must be doing something right- he sounded a little bit jealous even. I do want to know why he thought she came. He obviously didn’t foresee the truth.
  3. I loved Isobel in this one. Her empathy with the mother was really touching, especially in comparison to her partner’s. I’m guessing Jake came before her strong sense of self? He forgot several times that not only wasn’t she his junior, she was in charge now. Yet she managed to be both in charge and ‘haunted’ without kicking the other agents out of their roles. Her no at the end was great. The hell no was implied. She didn’t even seem to like him by the end.
  4. This makes me so excited! I just haven’t warmed to Prince. Plus it’s Axe and Wendy!
  5. Decidedly not preferable for me. I liked Dylan and Pamela. I dislike April.
  6. This! Not only do I not watch the other two- I haven’t seen all of Med. A bit of explanation would be nice. I hate watched this show on and off for years. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite now, but it is enjoyable. For me, it was April and especially Natalie that I couldn’t stand.
  7. I have trouble judging this season with any perspective because it has been improved so incredibly much for me by the absence of Natalie. Is Will still awful? Yes. Are some of the storylines awful? Yes. But overall, losing her has improved things so much that it’s a huge step up regardless. Uh oh Crockett. She trusted him as a surgeon, and he reacted as a boyfriend. And it’s all on him. I’m pulling for him because I like them together but I reiterate- uh oh. What kind of death trap was that restaurant? An example of the stupid storylines I mentioned. Goodwin always improves things however. I’m glad she had a healthy grand baby.
  8. Scott and Choi were so selfish. The doctors always think their opinion is the best way on this show. I agree that staying on the street is what the guy would have wanted. But as his wife, it was her choice. The reality is what he wants doesn’t matter in that situation. There should be plenty of drama in a decision like that. I still like Crockett and Blake! Don’t ruin them next week show! I know, it’s the end of the season. They were so supportive and sweet together without giving in when they shouldn’t. Almost like they might be healthy and good together. I love the way he looks at her What I didn’t get about the rent thing was how she didn’t know. She obviously knew it hadn’t gone through so how did she not know it wouldn’t clear? The cop storyline is dumb and I don’t want to talk about it. Having Halstead in danger too is not going to improve it.
  9. I wish we saw more of them. They’ve sucked me in. She keeps him at a definite distance, and I’m curious why. How involved are they even? We’ve seen them kiss twice. Crockett asks like it’s more serious than that, but that may be wishful thinking. This hospital’s inability to respect HIPAA drives me nuts. I’m surprised Vanessa even bothered to ask Maggie instead of just running the guy’s DNA. So did Choi give up on chief? That seems unlike him. The undercover cop doesn’t seem to be very good at her job. She keeps drawing unnecessary attention to herself. Scott needs to watch his back a lot better.
  10. This show runs through storyline and bad guys fast. It really emphasizes the soapiness. The only thing that surprised me about the Vivian/Griff hookup is that she initiated it. Didn’t he say she was still the love of his life a few episodes ago? It was really only a matter of time. I would feel bad for Asher, but I think he already knows. Lex got a shock though. Isan should be out of the program for walking out of that surgery. Beyond all the other childish crap the two indulged in, that was ridiculous and not the actions of someone serious about their goals. I don’t care about the cheating breakup. I don’t even remember their names. I do care about Sam’s triangle which surprises me since I think Caleb is an idiot. I like her and Malcolm a lot though.
  11. I’m willing to overlook the transplant shenanigans. There should have been testing and counseling, but there also should have been cops on known gang members doors. It doesn’t reveal any undercover operations if they are known to be from opposing gangs in the same hospital. But, drama. Like putting Archer and Asher (new doctor?) in a transplant surgery when they’re not transplant surgeons. Or an undercover officer hooking up with a former cop. Nothing stupid or unreasonable there! I can let it go. I felt bad for the boyfriend. That is an impossible choice and expecting kids to make it is hard. I liked her parents’ support. Even though it was obviously hard for the mother to agree, she stood by her daughter. I can’t with Halstead though. It’s not medical neglect just because you disagree. At least Charles kept his head. I like her. I like the actress so that’s not surprising, but still. I like her. I thought the story about the surrogate was moving, and her ex being older (a lot?) than her could be interesting considering now she’s the older one and more established in her career in her relationship with Crockett. I’m curious why she was being so weird about a date. They’re also pushing believability with the ages of mother and daughter. An intern is what, 26? That would make her daughter 23 if we go with Sarah Rafferty’s age. No way that works with her legal career unless one of them is a prodigy. Maybe Pamela is supposed to be older than 49 but that would be weird considering she’s already nine years older than the actor playing Crockett. I realize I should let it go, but this is the stuff that bothers me. If they are going to go to the trouble of casting mother and daughter, figure this shit out.
  12. No, Dave, no! Hold onto your sanity! I hated so much that she went back to Chuck. He’s hit that point where even an occasional good point gets lost in the crazy. They should have made Prince one of those mega billionaires if they wanted this much hand wringing about his wealth. The truck was a novelty but hardly shocking. I found it very disappointing that this all ended up with Prince teaching Wendy a lesson so she burns the book. At no point was anyone worried about the book but the traders. It had zero impact. My only hope is that all the copies come back to bite Prince’s casual attitude. If it’s that revelatory, surely it would cause him trouble in an election. Sleeping with Rian just seems so reckless. And now he apparently has a string of these one night stands? That’s a lot to bury even if he says he and Andy were separated. Speaking of, no wonder she was so noncommittal to their reunion. Their relationship really is shockingly shallow but they’ve apparently been together for 20+ years? Why? All in preparation for his run? I don’t see why Andy, with her own very involved, successful career would hang around for that. She clearly has no interest in the marriage. Even his commitment is contingent on her jumping to his whims. I haven’t even seen enough shared values or goals for it be a marriage for show. They just seem like two wildly different people with entirely different priorities stuck together. She didn’t even stick around for breakfast. This. Why was she shocked that she would get negative reactions? Since when does she let nasty looks phase her? I understand that her two scenes this season have been about processing everything that happened and her part in it. I even get why she wanted to write the book. She knew exactly who Axe was and her place in his world. Prince is a massive change even ignoring that she hates him. That would take adjustment. None of that explains the weird behavior though. She has a better read of people than this showed, and she knows all these people, well. She even knew people would be unhappy- that’s the whole reason she passed out copies. She should have had reactions prepared to deal with each trader and their individual issue. Not the nervous, guilty fluttering she showed. I was hoping the presidency speculation was wrong simply because I don’t want it. And it was SO obvious. The only thing that isn’t obvious is why Prince wants to run. The presidency would be very restrictive for a man like Prince.
  13. This. I know Senior always said Wendy made Chuck a killer, but it seems more like she kept him sane. His current vendetta is ridiculous. No way would she let this crap go on if she still cared about his life. Maybe that’s his problem- he lost his balance and therefore his perspective when he lost her. He thinks he’s too special to listen to anyone else so it just keeps getting worse the longer they’re apart. He certainly lost his manners. He was an ungrateful prick this ep. Too bad- she seems thoroughly and thankfully done with him.
  14. There was the scene about the goofy triangle he posted in the break area between Prince and Rian. That was a few episodes ago, but I remember it because of how awkward it was. I’m thinking what prompted this was very simple though- they got high and drunk, she hit on him, he said yes. I don’t think there’s any need for him to have noticed her before. Circumstances worked out for it so they slept together. I am curious what happens next. Is Prince a one and done kind of guy? Is Rian second guessing it sober as much as she appeared to be? Someone on another board pointed out how much Rian looks like Prince’s similarly aged daughter, and now that’s all I can see.
  15. I continue to enjoy Wendy’s dislike of Prince. It must bug him that she won’t give in. She didn’t even care enough about his edicts to skip work or show up for his party. If he requires love, respect and fear from everyone, he’s 0/3 with her. He can’t even get her to care about what he did to Chuck. So is Wendy writing the true story of Axe Cap? Maybe she wasn’t sure if she should go into Prince’s takeover until she knew the whys of it better. She was definitely deliberate enough when she told him it was coaching only, ie no confidentiality. That could be how she’s processing what happened with Axe since she certainly isn’t talking about it. That could also fulfill what she’s been looking for to understand her part in it all. If that is some version of what it is, I hope it pisses off more than the traders. Bring Chuck and Prince into it. Taylor blatantly hitting on Rian was so out of the blue that I can’t even care. Rian sleeping with Prince however was not. I couldn’t believe he took that pill. As soon as he did, I figured where it was going. Hopefully that’s the last we see of his wife. Taylor’s bigger concern should be Prince’s total lack of respect for her autonomy. She is basically just another manager like Phillip now. So we now have confirmation of Wendy’s theory on Prince’s ego. That reveal was all the way into megalomania. Damn dude. A one in a thousand years kind of man? The presidency theory is too small for him. So Sacker hit some hiccups. It seems she really did believe that her life wasn’t just charmed- she was that good. I appreciated the return of Hall and Wags’ role in it. If she let the news get her down that much, she’s right; she’s not ready. I continue to like Dave. I loved her pointing out that it’s her agenda now. I also appreciated her putting Sacker in her place. What did she really hope to achieve by going there? If anything, Dave was nice. I’m ignoring Chuck’s storyline, and the episode is greatly improved.
  16. They finally had an hr story and a major life change for Chuck so they… wrote Wendy out of the episode. The fuck? How does this make character sense? How did an hr storyline, or in her absence the trader manager’s storyline, become Taylor’s? They had no business there. They have their own employees. I know why- because Wendy and Phillip, as expressed this ep, have more sense than to think threats, blackmail and bribery are a reasonable response to someone considering executing their right to choose where they work. Then at the end, I’m supposed to think that was the right call and Phillip has now changed for the better? That whole storyline was awful. So Chuck is no longer AG. He wasn’t kicked out for the cause I’d hoped for, but it was deserved none the less. Of course everyone had to agree one more time that’s he’s great first. I say this every week, but he’s an asshole. A cocky, arrogant asshole who somehow believes he is not one of the privileged few. He doesn’t deserve one more chance to make everyone cheer for him. I just really disliked this episode. It was bad, every storyline. I’ve been open to the new direction this season but tonight, I’m wondering why I even watch this show.
  17. Well, that went to shit even faster than I expected. At least Chuck seemed to realize it wasn’t over at the end. Prince is going to hit back full force this time. And considering the unexpected confirmation of him bribing Colin Drache, he might actually have a real fight in him. Wags got a storyline! I guess that’s how it works now with Wendy and Wags. If one gets a storyline, the other gets benched. Though even in his lightest eps, I think Wags had more than two scenes. Anyway, it was nice to see Chelsea again and to see Wags taking real strides forward I wonder what it’s going to take for Wendy to actively turn against Chuck. Even with Axe, she refused to get involved. She was obviously excited about her future role, but this ep she knew it was done as soon as she saw Dave’s press conference, even before Prince and company did. When is it too much for her? So much for Prince’s marriage. She can say what she wants about being in it and it being Prince’s turn to travel, but she was out as soon as they announced the games were gone. She didn’t even take time to be politely sympathetic. “See you when I see you”? Ouch. Taylor got lucky. I’m liking Rian more and more. They’ve really developed her problems with Taylor well. She was unexpectedly fun with Wags too.
  18. Yes, Wendy, yes! Remember why you left him! Of course she had to call Chuck a great man along the way. It’s like this show is in denial. He’s not a hero; he’s an asshole. For example, every word out of his mouth to Dave. Or standing up a chef he hired in his own house. He didn’t even have the decency to cancel. Interesting that Wendy had no desire to stay and party at the end. She said she was in favor of the Olympics. I think she’s still just not crazy about Prince. I share that, unfortunately. It’s always someone else doing his dirty work for him while he floats above it all. That’s not interesting. Wendy refusing to leave for fear of setting the PTA moms off- I felt that. The shaming is real. She’s lucky she got by with showing up late. Interesting that she’s pro-public school. No way Chuck ever went to one. And she believes Chuck will have to get Kevin into Yale. Realistic as that may be, I would have thought that she’d see more value in merit. I continue to like Dave. At least someone gets to question Chuck’s crazy proclamations. I also liked her reactions to the other attorney and his craziness. So did Prince pay the $5 million? I’m going with no. He’s too far above that kind of thing. He’d have Wags do it for him. The ex wife needs to run. Prince is way, way too controlling to deal with following her around. She’s always going to be the one expected to come when called. He was pissed when she wasn’t free for dinner when he didn’t even call first.
  19. I admit I fast forwarded a bit of this ep. There were a lot of speeches, even for this show. I think I caught everything relevant. I continue to like Dave. She’s a bit of sanity to Chuck’s ridiculousness. I like that she seems to take him with a shrug and a head shake. He seemed to actually think his pitch to Kate of one on either side of him was appealing. Shit like that is why she left. Interesting that Scooter feels MPC is so below him and his family. Prince didn’t even seem surprised. And Prince continued his lack of empathy for Scooter’s feelings. I feel like their partnership is forged from something other than belief in the other. The loyalty doesn’t seem sincere no matter their shared goals. They certainly aren’t friends like Axe and Wags were. I loved Wendy’s aww expression to Tuk in her office. You could just see her thinking oh, honey. My favorite line was from Taylor surprisingly- “it was nice to see you until it wasn’t.” I laughed. I think Taylor is playing with fire with Rian. They’ve led her to believe that her opinion matters, and now they are dismissing her and blaming her for being confused. I think Rian is going to hit back hard. Kate was acting like a grade schooler. She was practically pouting. She deserved to be patronized. I think they can refuse a resignation then fire the employee when they quit working. I can’t even with this speculation. Remember when this show was about one man trying to out maneuver the law while another tried to stay just ethical enough to get by? I can live with the switch to the new kind of billionaire who manages to stay hands off when a man’s life is destroyed based on his orders but that’s too far. There was barely more than that of Wags. Remember when they were friends? Supposedly the show runners knew for a couple seasons that Damian Lewis was leaving. They should have had a better plan than this. These two characters were basically secondary leads. Only Taylor seems to have survived. In that 12 seconds, Wendy’s advice did pan out again. He made the call and got what he wanted. It may just be wishful thinking because of how much she’s been minimized, but I keep thinking Prince wants her there for something. Like he’s testing her with these inane problems. Maybe she’ll become part of his ‘thing.’ I rolled my eyes so hard at that.
  20. I think what I hated most about this episode was the implication that Sam was in the wrong. She’s a weak lead but she wasn’t wrong. She didn’t ask Alex to put her first or devalue her happiness in any way. From what she saw, Alex lied to her and hid it. She didn’t do anything unreasonable with her boyfriend either. If he really wants her to keep chief, he should be expecting and encouraging calls like that. She didn’t do anything to Griff. He hid something from her, again, and didn’t respect her enough to do anything but smile and nod when boyfriend’s dad was trashing her and boyfriend. She could have handled the conversation with her mother better, but her mother could have handled it a LOT better. Yet the end of the episode seemed to be implying that Sam’s awful day was her fault like she had to crawl to the one friend she had left. The hell?
  21. Press release and photos for episode 7. All I can say to that last sentence is noooooooooooooo! I love Wendy, but I hate Chuck.
  22. Sacker told Wendy she was having issues with the lack of clear boundaries and her opinion not being followed. Taylor was the first person to not just listen to her but to work with her. What she did was pushing for a boundary. What Taylor did was intended to be securities fraud. But with Sacker’s actions, it’s not. So did Sacker do something wrong or just her job? It’s not like she faked paperwork. The records were real. She just figured out how to use them. I think she’s going to have to find the line between doing something sketchy but overall legal to help and doing something illegal to keep the firm out of trouble. How far will her ethics let her go? I’m guessing a lot farther than they did this ep considering all the illegal and unethical stuff Chuck did which she supported and hid.
  23. The episodes are posted on the Showtime app at midnight Sunday. I just can’t with Prince’s weekly lessons. I feel like he infantilizes the traders. I’m not surprised Bonnie was the first to break. I did enjoy Rian’s skepticism of the pyramid. The end was ridiculous. So this week Prince hired Scooter’s nephew, knowing Scooter was deliberately keeping him out, then tried to pretend he didn’t know it was his résumé. Then he completely disregarded Scooter’s feelings about it. He ordered his ex home for the family summit. At the end, he okayed Mason Carbon doing their own thing as long as it never interfered with his. I’m guessing being soft with his daughter was supposed to soften it, but he came off really controlling this ep and very inconsiderate of other people. They never said if the ex was the kids’ mother but it was certainly implied. I don’t know if I buy that. I enjoyed the new characters, especially Dave. Chuck let his ego go crazy. He really thought that just the idea of him in court would be intimidating enough to force a settlement. I’m glad he lost. He is ridiculous. “The rest of us?” They are really pushing Chuck as a man of the people, and I don’t buy it. He’s a Yale legacy, trust fund baby. He got the house and $25 million in his divorce. He bought a farm as a lark. He’s a shining example of the problem he’s trying to fight. So Wendy is still trying to find her identity now without Chuck and Axe. That’s realistic but it’s not the most compelling of plots so far. If it actually goes somewhere it could be. I think her concern for Kate is real, but their talk backfired. It encouraged her to follow her new sense of daring and lack of boundaries. Wendy’s hair was better! So much more flattering this week. I’m curious about her wardrobe change. Not only is she exclusively wearing pants, they are looser pants with blousy shirts. She was also wearing a thick heel this ep. It’s a long way from her tight dresses and bondage gear. Is this the show’s way of showing us she’s no longer the love interest? I don’t see the character’s motivation for the change. Taylor did not appreciate Kate reading her play. The shine is definitely coming off for Rian. I’m curious where that goes. If Taylor continues to court trouble, Rian could be a major spoiler. Is Wendy completely out of Mason Carbon now? I remember her selling her shares to Axe, but I thought somehow she was still involved.
  24. I think Taylor intended to invest $100 million and use the 5% returns. I loved the price lists. I’m nosy like that. At first I thought they were going to tell us Prince was overextending himself by throwing all that money around but never mind. It included some cute things though like Wendy’s bracelet made by her daughter ($2) and the middle school underwear ($0). Those were nice character details. Chuck is so patronizing and controlling with Kate. Prince judged that right on- she wants to be a peer. Chuck blew off her ambitions and concerns too many times. Now of course he’ll yell at Wendy for it. I couldn’t believe he actually thought he was going to get Ira hired. Prince is a little boring and a lot preachy, not an idiot. I enjoyed seeing the frustration the governor acting like a politician brought both men. Chuck was so insulted by the fetch comment. Don’t use the B word in front of me- Jesus Prince. So basically do as you want, just don’t tell me about it. Like hire hookers and pass out drugs. He’s different from every other powerful person how, again? Taylor’s plan was short sighted. I feel like Prince knew that all along and let her hang herself as a lesson. He seemed to be second guessing how much he was willing to spend on it when she asked for that second influx of cash though. I’m liking Rian more this season. She was a nice balance for Taylor this ep. I don’t like Wendy’s hair this season. It’s too messy. I liked the smoother, side bang better. She’s so beautiful, but this ages her. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to believe in Prince or not. Even Wendy seems to have thrown in now (at least as far as it gets her what she wants), but I think her reservations about bringing Kate in were genuine. I think she sees his ego and its pitfalls in a way the others don’t. I think he mainly sounds like someone who completely buys into their own bullshit.
