It was only a matter of time before Christmas brought up her foot again (this time to Kevin). Eventually someone in the house is going to notice that she brings it up all the time, and they will say it annoys them. They might even think she is using her foot as a reason she deserves to go far in this game. All of that foot talk will catch up to you, Christmas!! Give it a rest!

I may think some of the alliance names are a bit goofy, but I don't think any have ever been as bad as FOUTTE. That one still haunts me.

Oh I'm glad you were able to spot that super-quick scene with Baby Yoda resting his hand on Mando's shoe! I could envision a human child doing something like that in the same scenario -- touching his father's shoe so he would know he was there with him. I thought it was also interesting because the baby was worried about Mando and seemed to be trying to figure out what he should do to help (that Mando would allow him to do, without pushing him away), but also because he was seeing the Mythosaur pendant for the first time as Mando handed it to Cara, and was learning that it was something significant to Mando in terms of being a Mandalorian. That made their final scene together (later) even more meaningful, when Mando/Din let his precious new green bundle of joy keep the pendant. Killing off both Kuiil and IG-11 in the same season was very Walking Dead-ish to me! I would expect to see two major characters get killed off in the same season on TWD or pretty much any series on AMC, but I wasn't quite expecting it on a Disney+ show! Every time I watch Chapter 8 I get so mad when they're hitting the baby. Even though I know what is going to happen to those Troopers, I still get angry. The poor little thing has just seen Kuiil die, and he has no clue if Mando/Din is going to die -- you can see the worry in his face as Kuiil carries him away when Mando, Greef and Cara walk off into the distance in Chapter 7. Plus, he's already fallen to the ground or been dropped in previous episodes (by Toro in Chapter 5 & Mayfeld in Chapter 6). He's had a gun pointed at him (by Toro), he was almost killed (in Chapter 4) and has been chased by a droid trying to kill him (Zero in Chapter 6). Mando has tried more than once to leave him alone on the ship. And Lord only knows what they were doing to him when he was with the doctor and The Client in Chapter 3, when Mando left him there even after hearing his cry. Plus... we don't even know who was keeping him when Mando and IG-11 found him in Chapter 1. The baby had seen and been through enough, and then got punched repeatedly after all of that! I hope there's no more of that abusive nonsense in Season 2, but IF there is, at least we know the Child might be able to Force-choke someone if necessary. We don't have very long to wait for Season 2!! Two months from today, we might already be watching it -- or we will at least be gearing up to watch it shortly thereafter.

I really hope that some clever, forward-thinking editor behind the scenes is already putting together some nice montages of Tyler talking about Angela's jewelry, cooking and cookbook, as well as Christmas talking about her foot, so they can be shown on finale night or on the show where the final few HGs reminisce about the season and how crazy it's been.

I might be getting my BB Daniellles mixed up, but was she the one who had the unrequited love for what's his name... Shane, was it? (There was a Shane and Danielle showmance on BBOTT too, so it all gets confusing when it seems like it was 20 years ago!) If I am thinking of the right Danielle, I remember that it started out as funny to watch her making googly eyes at Shane, who was leading her on -- and funny that she was clearly so into him but could not see (or did not care) that he was not as interested in her. But then it became sad and creepy to watch her obsession after a bit. And she was annoying too, wasn't she? lol

Christmas and Bay are chatting casually. Wanna make a guess at what Christmas just found a way to mention in passing as she was talking? 🤣🦶

Yes -- They own ESPN and also ABC (although ABC is not a sports-specific network, obviously!). And now they own Fox too, so that expands the possibilities. If Disney decides to really frustrate us, they could wait until the Emmy Awards air later in September to premiere the Mando S2 trailer -- because the Emmys (the main ceremony, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel) are airing on ABC, and, as we know, Mando is up for a lot of awards. Award shows are common places for new commercials and trailers to premiere. August was always the most likely time for some sort of a trailer, simply because of Celebration -- although how long of a trailer is a mystery -- but, whenever it drops, I suspect that we will know about it before it airs. I don't think it would just randomly air with the hope that people catch it. In other words, I expect that the Star Wars, Disney+ and Mandalorian accounts on Twitter and Instagram will alert us by posting something like "Tune in on such-and-such day to see the world premiere of the Mando Season 2 preview" or whatever. Maybe they'll even post the video on social media first. But we will likely get a heads up about it premiering before it actually airs on TV (wherever that ends up being).

Ian's tactic -- presumably to distract people from being suspicious that he was having a conversation with Nicole F. -- was to talk about the merits of fresh peaches versus canned peaches. At least... that's what it seemed like.

Oh, Lord. Tyler mentioned Angela's vegan cooking again, and the cookbook.

Memphis, Enzo and Janelle were talking. They were commenting on how everyone is being nice and getting along right now. Memphis said something like "Enjoy it while it lasts," and then talked about how there was a screaming match every few days during his season of BB long ago. Enzo talked about Rachel stirring things up in his season. I couldn't help but chuckle because it's so true -- right now, everything is peaceful. Everyone is being pleasant and cordial, only whispering occasionally here and there. Cody saying that Dani is "sneaky" is probably the worst I have heard so far. But we all know how quickly the vibe in the house will change, and then the crazy comes out. I truly wonder who is going to clash and start snapping at each other first. It's hard to tell with this group.

That's the kind of gold I was mining for (when I mentioned above that I am always fascinated to see what these people eat)!! I like to know about these food habits. Of course, I'd be over in a corner with my bowl of chocolate pudding resting on a fluffy cloud of Cool Whip as they were chia-ing it up...

This is a main reason why I appreciate an occasional All-Star Season, or a season with a handful of returning HGs. I don't have to try to remember who is who because I already know who they are. There are some seasons with all or mostly new people, and it can literally take me 3 weeks to figure out who each one is by name, especially if several of them have a similar physical look.

For some reason, I am always unreasonably fascinated to see what the HGs eat and drink every year, and what their kitchen habits are. In some years it seems like the majority of HGs are very healthy and averse to anything like cupcakes or frozen pizza or chips or whatever. But in other years it's just anything goes -- sugary cereals, cake, ice cream, soda all the time, pizza all day, etc. In some years there is one person doing most of the cooking for everyone, almost every day, and in other years they take turns cooking. In some years it's every man and woman for themselves, as they forage for their own food in the storage room. And I always love seeing which ones leave the refrigerator door open for a really long time, which ones don't wash dishes, which ones don't clean up after working with raw chicken, which ones don't drink or make coffee, which ones hog or hoard a certain food so that no one else can have any of it, etc. I'm trying to get a read on these very important details this season! 🤣 What are they eating and drinking now that they were not eating or drinking in their previous seasons?

I don't know if I am fully buying that Tyler wants to partner up with Christmas. It sounds like she wants it, but I don't get the sense that he is fully convinced yet.

Okay, enough references to your foot injury, National Taco Day. I'm already tired of hearing about it less than 24 hours into the feeds.

I'd say so! Even if it just happened to be a one-time incident fueled by alcohol or some other substance, if I were Dani I would always have my eye on Porsche. I would never fully trust her. It's better to just keep some distance.

Dani stopped liking Porsche and staying in contact with her because she was hitting on Dom one night, after he and Dani had begun dating. It made Dani uncomfortable. (Edited to add: Dani referred to that incident when Janelle asked her if she was still in touch with Porsche, but I would guess that there are probably other reasons for not keeping in touch with her in addition to that.)

Nicole F. mentioned Keesha, and Cody doesn't know who she is. lol He said "Who?" Cody thinks that Christmas is a "ticking time bomb" and a "huge personality."

Cody and Nicole F. are confirming their secret alliance, and encouraging each other to build alliances with other people in the house too. Nicole thinks that they should work with Da'Vonne. Cody thinks that Dani is sneaky.

lol I love how the cameras seem to keep catching Cody looking totally disinterested and like he is just suffering through listening to whoever is talking. Boxing Day has already talked about her foot problem more than once since last night.

I was on the wrong camera and only caught the tail end of the chat, but I think that Dani was just telling Nicole F. that they need to team up with Da'Vonne.

I tried to stay up as late as I could with the feeds before going to sleep. The HGs were still awake when I conked out, but I remember that Dani, Da'Vonne, Cinco de Mayo and others were talking about giving birth, and the first thing Dani asked when she was half-alert (after having her baby girl) was if the child was "ugly." lol She joked about the hospital wanting to call Child Protective Services on her. And I remember that while one conversation was going on - can't even recall about what -- Cody was sitting there, not talking much, just half-smiling and taking it in. At one point I could swear that it looked like his eyes were glazing over, because I don't think he cared about whatever was being talked about. But he may have just been tired. Anyway, has anyone caught any new alliances forming, or secret game talk yet? Any signs of who might end up clashing or arguing in the house, a month down the road? Can we tell who doesn't like each other yet?

I will point out that Noah and Corey from Kessel Run recently speculated -- it was not a rumor. At that time it was only their guess -- that the Mando Season 2 trailer might premiere during the NBA Playoffs because they thought that Disney liked to drop teaser commercials during the Super Bowl and other sporting events. In no way was the info verified or even a rumor at that point -- they only speculated. So I don't know if something has changed to where a credible source said there would actually be a trailer during the NBA Playoffs, or if the "guess" that Noah and Corey offered up has been turned into a rumor just for kicks. In any case, the canceled Celebration would have taken place on August 27th - August 30 of this year, not on August 21st or 22nd. But that doesn't mean that whatever would have been shown or announced at Celebration couldn't come out anytime this month -- or even next month. The Celebration news items and videos don't have to be confined to 8/27 - 8/30. So who knows?
