I really enjoy this show, but I often feel like the writers assume everyone watching has read the books. I feel like things are explained too briefly - or not at all - on occasion. It's like there are scenes missing that really aren't or something. And Quentin kind of swallows his words sometimes. Anyway, that brings me to ask...can someone please explain again to me why exactly they're going to Fillory? I think it's to find a knife of some sort, but that was explained so quickly that it didn't stick in my brain last week.

Yeahhhhhh. Not a fan of this. In preparation for the reboot I watched the series finale earlier in the day (which, if you all recall, was basically just a retread/clip show of the entire series), so I was painfully aware of just how much mythology they were retconning. The shapshifting aliens? The aliens who were faceless to avoid being infected with the black oil? We're supposed to believe none of that was real now? I'm hoping that's not the case. The mythology eps were never my favorites, but trying to "take it all back" at this point will just irritate the living hell out of me. Also, we literally saw CSM's entire fucking skull when his face melted off in the blast, so his being alive was also a "flames...flames on the side of my face" moment for me. (But, apparently, not as much for him as we were led to believe.)

Yeah, I don't think the *67 or the towel incident were in there, either. Nor mention of Halbech saying she didn't want to go out to Avery's property again.

Can someone refresh my memory as to what actually DID happen with Mulder's sister? I seem to remember something about CSM having her...maybe? I recall Samantha's little hand prints in a stone or something. And some adult woman who purported to be Samantha. Was that all a ruse?

Ha! I was the exact opposite...I was pissed that they never gave me a good, long look at the dangling eyeball! I could do without the cop segments, too, although last night's kept my interest more than most of them do. I sort of missed the firefighters. I'm fine with the focus being on the EMTs, though.

RIP, Ari Adamian. Guy, you made this season way more fun than I expected, you crazy bastard. Although I realize Briggs was mostly in the wrong and did a lot of fucked up shit this season, Mike always looks so righteous and smug that I want to punch him in his face. Honestly, Johnny is the only decent character in the show anymore. (I know Charlie's not that bad, but she stabbed Johnny's bouncy house, which is borderline unforgivable.)

Honestly, can Kelly just turn Zach already or whatever? Even Carl on Walking Dead wasn't this angsty, and he had to KILL HIS OWN MOTHER, ZACH! Kind of bummed they're pairing up Quinlan and Gus. I can't bring myself to care much for Gus or his story line. I wish Quinlan had stuck with Abraham and Fet.

Wasn't she also Ben Linus's daughter on LOST? Thank you! Same thing happened to me. I assume maybe they all went into the water and Cobra team picked them up, but no one looked wet. Urf.

For some reason I do not remember the "if you love someone, you'll remember what they look like" line...can someone tell me who said it?
