  1. Joe Zee is the only person I can think of who I'd want to replace Tim Gunn, but I don't know how much advice he could give on construction. I'd still love to see him on there in some capacity.
  2. Can we have Bianca on every episode? Please? Cracker's "how cunning is this fox after all?" line nearly snuck by me. Clever girl.
  3. I thought that Paul Lynde was going to be a disastrous choice, but Ben fucking nailed it. Aja was great too.
  4. The double edged sword of the All Star seasons strikes again for me. On the one hand, I really enjoy that these seasons give me a chance to like a queen I didn't enjoy very much during their original season, like Roxxxy. Then there's queens like Milk, who I did enjoy during their original season, but not so much on All Stars. That's the risk you take, I guess.
  5. Milk's officially gone sour for me. She was lucky to have been safe, because that was a terrible performance. She should have been in the bottom instead of Chi Chi. Speaking of which, I don't see why the fuck she wasn't at least safe when the judges praised her performance and gave only a mild criticism of her runway look. Whatever, as long as Ben makes it far, I'll be happy, but I'm still giving the side eye to some of these decisions.
  6. I completely forgot about Untucked until this afternoon, and having watched it, I'm definitely changing my minds about some queens. Charlie: I want to like her, but is she going to go on about her age every episode? That's going to get old (pun unintended) really fast, particularly if she leans on it as an excuse for not doing well. Eureka: shut up. Just shut up. Valentina: seems genuinely sweet and encouraging, and I'm really liking her. Bonus points to her for being picked last and not moping about it. Farrah: I'm weirdly fascinated by her, and I don't quite know why. I want to see more. Kimora: I was disappointed in her performance in the challenge and lipsync, but similar to Farrah in that I want to see more. I didn't like her pre-season, but I find myself curious to see what she has to offer.
  7. Yeah, I thought that Jaymes did marginally better, but there was no way they were sending Kimora home over her. I found Valentina to be a bit annoying last episode, but I'm coming around to her now. I have the feeling I'm going to flip flop on a lot of these queens before the season is over.
  8. Fuck. Just fuck. What's it going to take for Katya to win a lipsync?
  9. This is everything I could have wanted in an episode: a comedy challenge, an awesome lip sync, Alyssa and Tatianna are both back in, and Phi Phi is out. I never imagined I'd enjoy this season so much.
  10. I feel like Alyssa has been robbed twice now. I love Katya, but I think that Alyssa should have been lip syncing against Alaska. Speaking of, I loved Alaska. She was hilarious. Mae West seems like such a perfect choice for Snatch Game that I'm surprised no other queen has done it before.
  11. For years, I've been wishing that this show would start each season with a talent/variety show. Give the queens the opportunity to show what they feel they do best right from the beginning. And we finally got that! I enjoyed this more than I expected. Really looking forward to the rest of the season and getting to see more of Katya and Alaska.
  12. Awesome, thanks. I missed most of the runway and only saw the critiques. I fell in love with Naomi early on, but didn't think that she would make it this far, so I'm happy that she's still here.
  13. I missed a few parts of the episode. Did Naomi say that her runway outfit was inspired by Raven's from the last runway of season 2, or was that an incredible coincidence? Really sad to see Thorgy go, although Chi Chi definitely dominated that lip sync. There's no one left at this point that I really want to see go though, so the rest of the season is going to be a bit hard to watch.
  14. I've been wondering how Derrick's Britney will compare to Tatianna's. Derrick doesn't seem funny or very clever to me, but neither did Tatianna. And then she won the first Snatch Game, despite not having ever done a celebrity impersonation, and having very little time to prepare. So maybe Derrick will bring a lot of humor to it after all. I'm not enthusiastic, but I'm certainly ready to be surprised.
  15. That's going to be my new phrase to describe someone who can't dance.
  16. This is my favorite group challenge, and possibly my favorite overall challenge in the show's history. Really fun to watch, and it's nice to see that no one really fell on their face- literally or figuratively. Dax was the performer I thought was weakest, mostly because she seemed to be dancing soft. I'm not sure what the proper term for it would be, but there was just no power there. This is the first season where I'd be sad to see any of the remaining queens leave this early on. There's no one that I outright dislike this time around.
  17. That felt like a return to form for the show. Really looking forward to the rest of the season.
  18. Bob's video made me laugh out loud a few times, so she's my pre-show favorite. Other than that, I want to see more of Dax Exclamationpoint's nerdiness and cosplay.
  19. I read his blog posts and watched his videos years ago, and re-visited some of them last year. I was shocked at how critical and at times insulting he was (or rather, shocked that I had forgotten that side of him). He really used to go after the show when he disagreed with the decisions the judges made. Someone reined him in at some point, but it's like his true personality has been leaking out in recent seasons. In any case, while I love that the judges get to look at the garments up close (seriously, they should have been doing that all along), I hate how Tim is constantly present, constantly telling them workroom related things they shouldn't need to hear if the decision is made based on the final outcome and not the process. I remember feeling uncomfortable in season 10 when the judges had Tim come out and comment on one of Ven's designs. And now that sort of thing happens constantly, and it feels like designers are being thrown under the bus.
  20. This is the first episode where I didn't like a single outfit. There was some serious ugly on that runway.
  21. Oh wow, that LSFYL...I've watched it about a dozen times today. That was great. And yay, Trixie!
  22. Katya's conversation with Fame reminded me that we haven't actually seen much of her Katya character. I love her, but I really want to see more of that run-of-the-mill Russian bisexual transvestite hooker. And Max...damn it. I like Max a lot, but it's hard to defend her choice when there are five previous seasons of Snatch Game as examples of who wins and who sashays on that particular challenge. I definitely didn't think this would be the week she'd be out.
  23. Every week I find myself groaning when a team challenge is announced. But I looked back at the last few seasons, and with the exception of the first episode, they generally had all team challenges up until the Snatch Game. So while this season isn't necessarily featuring more team challenges than usual, there's something about them that just isn't working this time around. I don't know exactly what it is, but I don't feel as invested in this season as I did in previous years.
  24. That lip sync was thoroughly unimpressive. Maybe I'm just expecting too much out of Kennedy, since her dance experience was emphasized in her introduction, but it was boring as hell. Terrible scripts, embarrassing final results, Katya and Max are still my favorites, etc.
  25. I like her too, specifically because she's said to both Pearl and Max that she didn't get them at first, but changed her mind once she worked with or saw them in action. She has a way of saying things that initially seems like it's going to be bitchy, but she takes it in the opposite direction.
