I sort of understand why they don’t want to know who the father is. BUT I think it should be determined and then put in a sealed envelope known only to some trusted relative or attorney perhaps. If one of the men dies or becomes permanently disabled and they want to claim social security benefits for the child, paternity needs to be established. It is usually assumed to be the husband, but this could be rebutted, with proper evidence.

I cannot stand to listen to Hilaria. She talks non stop. He barely gets a word in edgewise and is certainly not allowed to disagree with anything she says. I ended up fast forwarding through most of her speaking. Is she not able to sit with her legs straight down? Even at the therapist she’s looks like a pretzel!

Years ago I transcribed my grandmother’s diary. It was a five year diary that she could write about what she had done on that particular day. She kept it for age 13 to 17. This was in the 1920’s. It was so interesting! She went to a lot of movies, sometimes with friends but also her mother and grandmother. There was a lot of silly stuff about which boy she liked or which girlfriend she was having a disagreement with. In her later years she developed juvenile rheumatoid arthritis so the diary had many references to being sick and too stiff to get out bed. A sad foreshadowing of what was to come.

I think it’s bad that Cate and Tyler have not fully explained to Nova that Carly has a completely new family with new parents that are raising her as they want. They need to explain to Carly that it is not a “fairness” issue, but is instead their right as her parents. They have three little girls that are basically being ignored, while they obsess and complain about the fact that they cannot see this other child. They will pay the price in later years when the three figure it out and are resentful.

This was basically the same stuff as the regular season episodes. Only difference was that we could see the “interviewer” who is usually off camera. I think the host should be required to view a few of the more controversial scenes and respectfully push back against distortions. it would be much more interesting if all 5 of them could confront each other, even briefly. this was boring boring boring.

Wasn’t Christine long gone by the time this was filmed. Why does he keep bringing her into a discussion with Janelle?? He is insulting and insufferable. He had no answer to why he’s ignoring Savannah not to mention wasn’t Truely still at a “tender” age?

S14.E01: New Era, New York

I have watched OC and NY since the beginning of each. I’ll stick with this version for a bit. It was refreshing for me that there were no scenes of stupidly drunk women. That became a real turn off for me with old NY cast. I would fast forward through so much of the show. -

Perhaps Tori should consult a pediatrician about a baby who only sleeps an hour at a time. Oh never mind. She wouldn’t follow the instructions anyway! -
Once again the focus of Cate and Tyler is the child that is NOT there while they basically ignore the three beautiful girls they do have. Their adoption counselor is a complete fraud. She shouldn’t be encouraging them to recontact the adoptive parents again and again. They have made it clear that they are thinking of the best interest of Carly and wish to have little or no contact. Cate and Tyler should be so busy with the three girls that they would have little time to think about Carly. Nova needs speech therapy. The middle girl ( don’t know her name!) is out of control. I feel bad for her. The only attention she gets is for misbehaving.

I felt bad for Sean. He obviously went to a lot of effort for the proposal and Jade barely made eye contact with him. She has the flat affect to everything. A smile directly at Sean would have helped.

Kody you would not have needed 6 weeks for the surgery. Show up for the day of surgery and a couple of days after for recovery. That would have been fine. JUST SHOW YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR KID! You wouldn’t need to be gone for very long for college move in either spend some father daughter time driving her there and fly home Just a few days JUST SHOW YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR KID! And the entire state of Utah hates him?? I think they have more important issues to worry about than one crazy failed husband.

If Kody had ANYTHING important to do that would actually keep him SO BUSY don’t you think he would allow it all to be filmed? He must not work at all. The only things he seems to do to keep busy is ride around in his car, pick out shovels, and visit coyote pass! And it was so telling when he explained that he would rather pay someone to babysit his kids. Father of the year there! Not.

So few comments about the “new” show! Perhaps because there’s nothing new about it. Same tired story lines. Glad Lea felt secure enough to hug Amber. Jade and her boyfriend seemed to be better at getting along with each other. Hope it lasts for the little girl’s sake. Macy’s “garage” looked like a finished room to me. For a real date night they need to get away from the kids!

S16.E02: Loose Lips and Lawsuits

I just don’t understand why Heather called the party off. A few of her guests were rude and loud. But weren’t there other people invited who were expecting more than just sushi appetizers? What about them? She should have calmly asked the loud, rude guests to leave and then announced to everyone else “dinner is served!” Oh wait, it’s Heather. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

I was once on a civil jury. We began deliberations late morning. They had told us that lunch would be brought in if needed and passed out ordering menus. We chose our lunches. Then we decided to take a straw vote on the issue of the trial. It was a fairly clear cut case and it was unanimous. So we talked a bit but agreed to “talk” long enough to last through our “free” lunch.
