  1. Hey LS, I did not see you already posted this when I made my post. I was as shocked as you and I quickly came on and posted just before going to bed and had not read the previous posts. I think she will get huge backlash from this.
  2. Dorinda- Lil Kim vs General Mao, oh yes I can see where they're both so alike. One a hasbeen American singer with bad plastic surgery and the other is a mass murderer who killed 45 million people. You're so edgy and "gangsta", girl!
  3. The mom looked like Ozzy Osbourne. I see everyone blaming mom, as we should, but I think dad had just as much or more to blame as he started her very young eating a lot and terrible stuff. The Doxie was adorable. I have three of them. One red and two black and tans but mine are standards so not real tiny at about 22 lbs.
  4. EXACTLY! SABER thank you for the great chuckle!
  5. I have zero experience with show cattle but I grew up around beef cattle and there is probably no similarities. I know that angus are mean suckers and charlais are right up their with em. The show wasn't about to go with polled because, you know, you gotta get the full affect of big horns! I'm still cracking up about that scene.
  6. Thank you SABER!!! Those of you that have not been around bovine livestock you can't "handle" a bull. They are extremely dangerous animals and you always have to be aware of their location, ie, moving from one pasture to another. Heck, all beef cows are dangerous whether they are male or female. I only watched about 5 mins of this hilarious show and switched channels but had to come here and say that you would not see any rancher just unloading a bull outta the back of a stock trailer and he be so calm. The steer(castrated male cow) they pulled out would barely make it to 1500 lbs much less a ton. I have quarter horses that weigh more than that steer they pulled out. And one more thing... stop showing the Texas flag with the wrong blue background and the star sitting wonky. Such disrespect for our state. Oh and real cowboys from Texas DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT wear bolo ties! Bwah!
  7. I'm with all of those that can't stand Matthew McConnehey. Every time he comes on my TV I yell, "Damn he's a greasy MFer!" It always cracks my husband up. I'm a Texan with the drawwwlll, but MM's "S" sounds drive me batty. He just plain squicks me out. One little tidbit about MM's mom. My parents live in a retirement community near Austin and MM's mom lives there, too. My mom has played bridge with her a few times and she brags about how her husband died of a HA while they were having sex and she loves to show off her 70 something bikini bod(props to anyone that has the guts to show their bod at any age but the old folks down there think she needs to cover up! LOL) so MM doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to strangeness. Also, he has just been appointed the "Minister of something" at U. of Texas, my rival school, which seems quite hilarious. Too lazy to look up the actual title.
  8. I don't think I ever recall a poundicipant eating as much as this creature. I'm actually surprised she doesn't weigh a lot more. Bethany doesn't get full she just gets tired of chewing.
  9. I actually thought it was just a "healthy" BM for that lazy beast.
  10. Sure did. She had dead shark eyes. I even pointed it out to Mr Raider.
  11. Y'all are some sleuths now! Awesome information! I can always count on my buddies over here to give the REAL lowdown. Thanks a ton(pun intended)!
  12. 100% agree. We have a barn with stocks and when our horses are sutured no vet has ever gowned or masked up. We mostly treat cuts and such ourselves and we never do any of that and we are quite meticulous about our clean barns. 😉 100% agree. 13. I have a bit of an opposite story with my country vet. We live out in the middle of nowhere Texas and for non-emergency things we have a "Dr. Pol" country vet. Anyway, my sweet old Dachshund had an anal tumor appear and it was bothering her so I took her to my local vet and he examined the tumor and said, "At her age the tumor will outlive her." I left there and called my good vet in Dallas and he said to bring her by when I had a chance and I did and he said he would remove it and get her back to feeling better. Yes, she went under anesthesia but he got her teeth cleaned up and the tumor removed and my sweet munchkin was feeling so much better not wantnig to scoot across the grass with that nasty tumor. She lived another 2 years, 14.5 years old. We also raise Quarter horses and my cow/horse/dog/cat/pig vet is horrible treating horses for anything more than stitching up injuries, so we go to the racetrack vet who is one of the best in the country. I wouldn't even take a colic to my local vet because I have heard horror stories of his treatment for colics! He is also like Dr. Pol and only has one other vet with him at his practice and the place is always jam packed. Side note: My dad is a quarter Dutch and he always says they are cheap skates(my dad being one himself) so I think that is why Dr. Pol doesn't like to spend on equipment or other things he thinks he can get r done all on the frugal side. LOL
  14. As a Texan, I thought I'd give it a chance. It was pure Hollywood's idea of Texas. I was out within ten mins! It was so corny and oh so preachy. Hollywood, you portray Texas like we are all back woods born and breed. Give it a rest! Move on there's noyhing to see here folks. And of all places to portray-AUSTIN, KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD-AUSTIN? GET THE HELL OUT OF TEXAS!
  15. Oh sing it sister!! I always hate the gender differences in some of these scenes. It's 2019 not 1919! My parents expected all of us to do ALL the chores but my little brother would scoot and my parents were just tired of fussing with him so it was usually left for me and my older sister. Of course, we bitched about it but to no avail. My mom and dad had the more traditional roles but they never preached that boys do this or girls do that. Hell, my mom and sister always cut the yard but then again they enjoyed it. My dad can fix anything and still does to this day. My mom isn't as put out with cooking all the time so dad has had to learn how to make a few things. All three of us kids keep our yards and houses spotless so I guess we learned a bit. I also married a man that is self sufficient😉 I would never put up with a Joe Guidice or Gorga. Never!
  16. AU sounds like our equivalent of Texas University. I think most states have their "University". LOL I graduated from a rival school and we are fans of ANY SCHOOL playing Texas and beating them. The faces of UT fans when they lose is priceless.
  17. Did anyone notice the very large scar on Travis' inside arm at the elbow crease? It was really big. I wonder how he got that? It couldn't have been a past suicidal attempt, could it? I know people cut their wrists but the inner fold of the arm has a much bigger vein. I wonder about him because his dad seems super messed up and Travis mentioned how his dad was cruel and jealous of him when he took over the company. And speaking of his dad, what is up with him and hanging out in Vietnam and Thailand not taking his medicine? Where is Travis' mom? Are they still married? Sorry, if this has already been repeated.
  18. We just watched "Under a Halloween Moon" last night and aside from the actual murder, Josh threw me off with his extremely awkward "sitting" across from the guy he was interviewing! Dang! He was practically doing the splits! Not a good look.
  19. I am soooo glad you and your dog were safe! I saw the news last night that said N. Texas had 9 confirmed tornadoes! 9! It's the end of October. Dang, we expect this kind of stuff in the spring but fall is very strange.
  20. Thanks for the info biakbiak and TexasGal. They are all in an area of only about 5-6 miles apart so they were very lucky. I live about 60 miles east of Dallas and the storms in the past few years have been way too close for comfort and several friends lost livestock and their houses in the EF 4 in 2017! So happy to have a storm shelter/safe room in our master BR closet!
