  1. I'm back to hate-watching this crapfest. Markus is just a vile, egotistical excuse for more angst between Deacon and Rayna. Can't they have two consecutive episodes without the jealous drama? We know she's not gonna sleep with Markus. Deacon needs to tear out more walls at his club and let Rayna get the ahole's album released and out of the way. Sick of Puke and his son. Puke is doing every thing wrong by allowing the son to keep such damning info quiet. Maddie's a spoiled brat. Will is insufferable. The bright spot was Avery being fed up with it all and telling Will to either suck it up or do what he feels is right. Scarlett needs to dump Dr. Chemo and have some actual fun once in a while - but DO NOT keep harboring feelings for Gunnar. I'm so sick of these lame, repetitive instances of folks who just happen to appear at the most ill-timed moments. I honestly don't mind the soap opera that this show has become because the few tender scenes and the seconds of beautiful music have made up for the rest, but it's not enough. It's a shame because this show has always had such potential to be awesome, and not merely repetitive bullshit with an occasional awww moment. I doubt this show will be renewed after the MSF. Production costs must be astronomical. Stick a tuning fork in it, Callie. Your show is almost done.
  2. Hopefully Netflix will pick it up.

  4. It felt off for me as well. A little cluttered. Too bad they couldn't make this an 8 episode season to end the series. I wish we'd had a several-episode arc with the British doppelgangers They could have gone an ep without the Patsy/Dawn head games. Glad Mama Viv got out of the hospital & away from Dr. James. Oh, but Birdie broke my heart again. Thanking Jenna for all the nice things she did for her was a sincere moment. Bye bye, Birdie.
  5. NY Times article about the new trans writer, Jill Soloway's goof on Facebook and how Caitlyn Jenner has taken some of the pressure off of Transparent.
  6. Vicki Pepperdine (Dr. Pippa Moore) and Joanna Scalan (Den Flixer) from the British Getting On appear in this episode. Jenna and Dawn are based on their characters. Watch the episode 4 featurette below.
  7. Sorry, Sherri may have had a rough upbringing, be a hard worker and all that, but it doesn't mean she can use her religion to be an insufferable part-time mother. Why the hell couldn't she let Jeffrey sit next to her? If he was hysterical then you just know everybody else was having a great time. Idiot.
  8. Jenna didn't blackmail Paul. In season one, Jenna went to a conference for her big stool-testing presentation and was offered a job in Cleveland by a Dr. Rabinowitz, but turned it down. After receiving a performance review of 2.6 (on a scale of 1 to 10) at Billy Barnes, Jenna called Rabinowitz to see if the job was still available. It was. Jenna then told Paul she was going to leave BB for Cleveland. Jenna then got a call that Dr. Rabinowitz had suffered brain damage after being hit by a taco truck, so the job was no longer there. Jenna then tried to tell Paul she'd rather stay at there at BB, but Paul beat her to the punch and fessed up that he was going to have to take her place and he did not want the position & practically begged her to stay. Jenna used that to leverage a better deal for herself - a research assistant and her old covered parking space back, etc. As for Didi's financial situation, she and Darnell were struggling when she started the job at Billy Barnes. They had just taken in her sister's kids and were raising a total of 6. Didi put up with a lot of crap but stayed because (I imagine) the money was good. ETA: A few hours after I wrote the above, season 2 starts off with Didi asking for a raise. So, the financials are back up in the air. Except that I believe Dawn wasn't really pregnant, well she was but she had a blighted ovum and no baby developed.
  9. Great article, Eire! Thanks for posting it. *fingers crossed* here as well.
  10. Thought it was Rye's belt buckle from Ed's fireplace.
  11. Whoopi to Trump: "Think before you speak. Use facts!" Irony much? I'm really liking Paula. She speaks up even when Whoopi vehemently tries to shut her down.
  12. It is the same Keith Gordon, RustbeltWriter. http://headgum.com/episode/keith-gordon-christine-fargo/
  13. This show just makes Mondays better. I also got the Silvio/Adriana vibe from Simone's demise in the woods. That was beautifully shot from above. Similar to Miller's Crossing but better IMO. I couldn't breathe as Betsy walked through Hank's house. Hank's a little more than a doodler, eh? The hug! The hug! I do hope Karl is carried over into the next Fargo cast. Love Nick Offerman. As do I. It was especially good this episode. This show had better score some Emmys or somebody's going into woods with Bear. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14. I'd never noticed her eye before last night!
  15. Huge SFU & Francis Conroy fan here. MKP has been awesome since Mary Hartman. Harry Dean Stanton was also on Big Love. He's played Miss Birdie's lover in this show..
  16. I wasn't gonna mention those scenes until someone else did. It's the way this show gets me. Hilarious, then tender and heartbreaking. Did the bird actually go out of the cage? I think when the bird finally decides to fly away, so will Miss Birdie. The episode (maybe the finale) should end with "Tomorrow" from Annie playing over the end credits. Absolutely. Couldn't agree more.
  17. It's Didi's husband, his brother and the brother's wife. Vivian (nursing home patient) is Didi's step-mother-in-law. I just confused myself.
  18. Fantastic news!
  19. About fell out when the little Ortley girl is seen sitting in the potty chair, wearing the coma lady's dentures and the escapee's legs.
  20. Sure, Roger, sure. Shut up. http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/elisabeth-hasselbeck-fox-and-friends-fox-news-1201646830/
  21. ^^Wow!
  22. Thanks for that link, MC! I am a guy but could be that woman writing the article. I've got to admit that I think CCB is really beautiful. But when she opens her mouth..... Is that sexist?
  23. Good point about the pallor. It's the bright fluorescent lighting that most hospitals have. It's not flattering at all.
  24. Whoopi is sick or hungover or something. Even more addled than usual, but I do agree with her that being loud is the only way to get attention sometimes. CCB just doesn't like any protesting at anything anywhere ever.
