  1. I'm hoping that meeting the love of his life has changed some of his attitudes. I don't think he knew what it can be like to be included and embraced by a more normal family. He didn't seem to mind Heidi wearing pajama pants for pictures. I think meeting Heidi's sisters and perhaps actually liking them has made an impression. I really hope for the best for Tim.
  2. For once I am hoping for a fast wedding. I don't want Jill to have a chance to interfere with Tim and Heidi's plans. I still feel sorry for Renee.
  3. I just checked. Home Aglow offers a first service for $19, and they charge more after that. They list their prices on their site. $75 for three hours, which is on the lower end of the going rate around here. They have rates for 2 hours and 4 hours listed on their site. There are a lot of good reviews.
  4. Have Tim and Heidi announced a wedding date yet? I saw the post where they said they have the dress, caterer and venue, but I didn't see a date.
  5. For years our school board would send out for dinner every month before board meetings. One board member was responsible for ordering the food. She would order double the amount needed and take the "left overs" home. She did this for a long time. Someone finally complained, and they either stopped having dinner before meetings or had the members pay. It's been a while, so I don't know what they do now.
  6. Matching pajamas with her family already? I sure hope Jill keeps her nose out of this relationship. Tim looks so happy.
  7. The site was down for me all last evening. There was a "technical problem" message. The same message as before. It seems to be working now. Interesting how it is acting differently for different people.
  8. Some people are so self-centered, and think they are so special, that they can ignore the feelings of others. One night we had a baby who was actually dying. I called the parents to come quickly, and everyone was doing everything possible so the parents could see and hold their baby one more time. Meanwhile, we had a couple who decided they wanted to take their baby home AMA, and was demanding that the doctor stop what he was doing and sign paperwork so they could go home. They could see what we were dealing with, but just didn't care. They needed that paper work NOW. This was at 2:00 AM. The parents that I called did make it in, but their baby died about a half hour later. And the other parents were still demanding attention from the doctor. No compassion at all. I can see Jill being very demanding and not caring about anyone but her. Or very judgmental of other families.
  9. Sleeping on the hospital floor? And then probably holding the baby? I know what is on hospital floors, and, believe me, you don't to touch them. My hospital shoes never came into my house when I came home (my night job). They stayed in the garage. I just can't imagine walking barefoot or actually sleeping on the hospital floor. These folks have no common sense, at all. And yes, I taught school full time during the day, and was an NICU RN at night weekends, holidays, all summer and when called in. Looking back on my working years, maybe I didn't have much sense, either.
  10. I think that advice was very intentional. I think that doctor may have been a cult member.
  11. It was this miscarriage that pushed JB and M into the cult. The doctor they went to told them that their use of birth control was the cause of the miscarriage. They never looked back.
  12. I think they are made everywhere but I don't know if it is a sponsored production. My home town in CA has one. I think they can be made for any town, but I'm not sure if they are sponsored by local businesses or the town itself.
  13. The rules of the cult. It gives the umbrella a lot more power.
  14. The little boys have nice smiles in the picture. Interesting how they always look terrorized when BME is around to take their picture.
  15. I have wondered if Michelle wanted the fame, and how much she really enjoyed it, and how much was forced upon her because she was a woman and the cult says you have to do what your husband demands. And always keep sweet. I know JB always said he let her decide if there was to be another baby, but I never really believed it. If you watched SHP, some of the sermons (given by men, of course) were really enticing if you were a authority-driven husband.
  16. I think they liked being parents to Josh, but I think it was just 3 or 4 years after he was born that they entered the cult. I think they would have (maybe) been ok parents to him and the second son (Caleb, I think), and I also think that they would have stopped at two kids. Unfortunately, things did not work out that way. JB and M joined a cult which really fed JB's ego and gave him a lot of power over his family, and the rest is history.
  17. Maybe a wall hanging? Maybe they think this is a tapestry like in a castle. My guess is they will use it as their bedspread.
  18. George is a nice name. I am hoping that Ben and Jessa might start calling Spurge by his middle name--Eliot (or is it Elliot?). I do feel sorry for Spurgeon, but he is the first-born son, so he will always be "special". After all, it is not like he will be in school or in a group like the Scouts or on a soccer or baseball team. He will not have any friends outside of his group, so he will never know how "different" his name really is. It is kind of sad that his siblings all have better names.
  19. I think she is worse than her mother, and that is a really saying something-- and so sad.
  20. Especially since she doesn't proof read what she posts.
  21. I taught elementary school for 38 years (my day job). I have never seen comma abuse this bad. Third graders write better. She is illiterate, and she will be teaching her children. If the cycle continues, her grandchildren will be unable to read or write at all. At least they won't have to worry about paying off college student loans.
  22. Hooray!! I had my 5th--and last--brain radiation session today. MRI in a couple of months, and then a schedule for MRIs into the future. I hate MRIs, but at least I won't have my head clamped tightly to a table. The procedure is rather interesting, and since 10 years ago the treatment would have been surgery, this is much, much better. But I'm glad it's over. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They helped!!!!
  23. Didn't she eat a pineapple in front of the kids, and they were all practically drooling? I wonder if these kids will grow up to treat their children in the same way. What a poor excuse for a parent.
  24. A "vintage" Lyon and Healey should bring the price they are asking. This is a "top brand" in the harp world. I seem to recall that JB bought an expensive harp at some auction or something like that. At least one harp, and maybe two, I don't remember the particulars, I just remember them bringing the harp off the truck and into the house. But even needing repairs, this harp is not "junk". This is a concert pedal harp, not a Celtic harp.
