For years, when I was teaching second grade, I did a science unit on animals. When we learned about annelids, I would go to the bait store and buy worms. Everyone in my class was given a worm to hold. We didn't use the word "yucky"; instead we said "how interesting". Even the kids who were creeped out at the beginning ended up holding their worm ("How Interesting"). Most ended up asking if they could take their worm home. After that, every time it rained, and there were worms on the sidewalk or playground, my students would pick them up and move them to a safe place so they wouldn't get stepped on. Then some kids starting naming them......

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah

A few seasons ago, there was speculation that Jana was "tomato staked" to her parents for some reason. Did we every find out why? -
Cuties are very popular here in California. I have never seen Darlings.

At least they aren't going to be at the church in Lodi where they have spoken before (I can't think of the name). I know where it is, but I have no reason to drive on that road any more. It is only about 15 minutes from me. They can stay in Sacramento. -
COSTCO sells Kirkland canned chicken, and it really isn't too bad. It is just skinless chicken cut up into small chunks.

I really like broccoli. I really like REAL cheese. I really like real cheese on broccoli. This "soup" -- um, that's a BIG NO!

I found that knee revision surgery is quite different than a regular knee replacement. For my revision, they took out the old hardware and installed a whole lot more hardware. I saw my x-rays last week, and jeepers!, I have quite a scaffold in there now! My scar is about 10 inches long. This surgery was with a different doctor at a different hospital, and I have found that the "rules" are different at different places. I attended the "knee class" before this surgery (I went to the class for the first surgery, too), and this hospital and surgeon had some milestones you had to meet before you could go home. You had to be able to walk (with a two-wheel walker) a certain distance (I think it was about 200 feet), you had to be able to stand for 10 minutes, and, if you had stairs at home, they asked you how many you had, and then you had to be able to go up and down that many stairs. Since I don't have any stairs, I missed this exercise. The surgeon this time specializes in knee revision, and, I must say, my recovery is just zooming along. ( I have to brag just a little--Seven weeks out, and I have very little pain, take no meds, and was told by the doctor to slow down and sit down more because I want to do too much. Full extension, 120 degree flexion. Still can't drive, but I hope it won't be too much longer.) Best of luck and good wishes to all the "new knees" out there. Trust me, it DOES get better! Remember, ice is your friend.

When my nephew was small he learned this song in Sunday School (Lutheran, not fundy). When he sang it for me he sang "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and (pause) BLUE, they are precious in His sight (etc) It was pretty cute. Every time I hear this song it makes me smile.

I don't think anyone is allowed to bring in "outside" food into any restaurant around here. Health Code rules. The exception may be cheerios or other crunchies for small children. Since the restaurant is responsible for the quality of food consumed in their establishment, they cannot control food that is brought in.

I, too, am thinking and praying for all my cyber friends. As for me, I am progressing very well. This is the 6th procedure I have had on my right knee over the years. (yes, 6th). It is my second complete replacement. I have to go through Workers Comp, and it takes so long to get anything done. One month before I went to my current surgeon, I saw another surgeon who told me there was nothing wrong with my knee because the doctor that had done the replacement was so good. Then I saw my current surgeon. He actually did tests. My hardware had come lose, and it was also bent from a fall down a flight of stairs at church. I was told after surgery that my knee was "a real mess". It does pay to get a second opinion!! My recovery is going so smoothly I am almost concerned. 5 weeks post-op and I have complete extension and 119 degree flexion, which is much more than I had previously. I have pain, but it is surgical pain, not knee pain, so I know it will pass. I'm still using a walker, but it won't be long before I'll be on my own. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers from friends I know, and friends I've never met. Thank you.

My experience with Tater Tots is not good. Many years ago I slipped on one in the school cafeteria and ended up with two shoulder surgeries. I had a lot of fun explaining that to Workers Comp. Good Times!!

Tonight everything is back to "normal" on Opera. I really have no idea what is going on, but I'm not going to argue. Maybe it was a strange bug yesterday. I thank everyone who responded last night for your concern and suggestions.

It seems to be working in Firefox, too. For some reason it appears that it doesn't like my Opera browser. I've never had any trouble before. Thank you everyone for your help. I really appreciate it.

I have always used Opera for my browser, but maybe PTV doesn't like it anymore. I seem to have everything working on Safari. Go figure.

Thank you. That would be great.

I have "both" selected and it is black. When I click on Peek Shows, the correct screen shows for a split second, and then it goes to the new shows in the past 14 days. I have shut the computer down and restarted. I opened a second account, and the exact thing happens. This just started last night. It seems to want to act correctly for a split second, but then it goes back to the same screen. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong.

Nope. When I click on Peek all Forums all I get is the new shows in the last 14 days. It will not show me anything else. I've tried all the arrows, too. Nothing else shows.

I don't have any shows that show up. The master list has just disappeared. I think I'll restart my computer and log in again to see what happens. @Mindthikr, I already checked the homepage. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I can't get any show lists at all--my screen just does a quick flash to the one I want, and then goes to the sign on page. I don't know what to do next. Very frustrating.

I played around a little bit, and what I am looking for is the "forum master list". Why it no longer appears when I click the "forum" button is a mystery to me, and I need to find an easy way to find it now. Anyone have any suggestions? Since I'm still doing quite a bit of recliner time after my knee surgery, I like to check on some other shows. I don't like it when "they" make it more difficult to navigate!! Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate your help. When I click on the arrow you mentioned, I still just get the "new shows' list. The entire "directory" does not come up. I'll keep trying.....

OK, What am I doing wrong? Until yesterday, I could find boards for other shows by clicking in "forums" at the very top right corner, and an alphabetical list of all the show forums would appear. I could move down the page and find the board for the program I wanted. As of yesterday, only a couple of topics appear, and there is no alphabetical option to find shows. Is there somewhere else I am supposed to look to find other shows? I know that there is the "on air" list where the shows show up in different colors, but the page I'm missing had the shows listed in red. I could find comments from past seasons, and even shows that are no longer on air. Does anyone know what happened to the forum list?

Since I'm pulling extra recliner duty due to my knee surgery, I decided to check a "fact" that someone posted here a while back. Apparently, many women believe that piercing the left side of the nose makes childbirth pain easier. Is this a common Fundy practice?

Off to the hospital tomorrow at 5AM for knee re-replacement surgery. Walker, cane and pain pills are at the ready. Fun times.

That you, @Absolom. I'll give that a try.
