7 yrs of a scripted "reality" TV show. I would never quote KUWTK as the bible, lol. Caitlyn also chose to stay in that relationship - and she gained financially because of it. She's always had a darker, more self serving side to her. This is the same person who pretty much abandoned her first 4 children

Like most kids make fun of their parents. Kendall and Kylie have always seem closer to Caitlyn than Kris. The Khloe situation had more to do with her own fear - than disrespect. Caitlyn is hardly the victim. She would not be able to afford her current lifestyle if not for KUWTK. Financially, Kris lost out in the divorce. They didn't have a pre-nup and Caitlyn got half of the K empire - that Kris had built. And she was the one that reinvented Caitlyn - long after her Olympic glory days had faded. I am hardly a fan of Momager - but it's unreasonable for Caitlyn to expect Kris to stay married in this situation. That's what had broken up his 2 previous marriages.

What is this based on? After this week, there will still be 8 HGs remaining. -
Season 17 Live Feed Discussion: Watch People Sleep All Day!

Eh, they are only at Top 9. Anything can happen between now and Final 2. I'm sure at one point Shelli and/or Clay were predicted to go far in the competition. -

Then why go on show like Big Brother - where a big part of the game is about social interaction - and making strategic moves. I like Johnny Mac. Nice guy. But he really has done little in this game. The same with Steve. -

It's really more about Shelli being petty and allowing her emotions to take over her game. "Shirtgate" was ridiculous. What she should have done was try to get on the good side of the other side of the house. -
Could American Idol have been saved (and if so, how?)
perfectstorm replied to Kromm's topic in American Idol
The ratings had already started going down during Season 6, before instruments were introduced. The singer-song writers who play instruments are actually a reflection of the real music industry and are often the money makers when it comes to touring. Adam Lambert is way over rated. Despite being over-hype, he's only had 1 Top 10 single. His FYE CD failed to sell Platinum in the U.S. and he was dumped by his label for poor sales of his 2nd CD. His current single, is struggling in sales. Idol also has had more successful winners than not. And Daniel Seavey was hardly the problem this season. TV singing competitions are on the decline. American Idol had a good run. Very few TV shows can boast 15 years. -
I never got the impression that Bruce was trying to model himself after any of the K women. He is just finally able to be himself after all these years of living in denial. And he is still figuring some of it out.

Kendall is 19 and Kylie is almost 18. I don't think anyone was made to do anything against their will - as evident by Rob's absence. Also, when Bruce spoke to each of the kids individually, he did not discuss plans, timeline, etc. I actually thought Kendall spoke eloquently. Yes, there was a camera crew there, as there was with the Diane Sawyer interview. But I thought the reactions and emotions here were pretty genuine.

The show redeemed itself for me this season - it more about the food - than the kitchen drama, personality clashes that have often plague other seasons. The contestants on the whole were likeable people, professionals - the exception was probably Aaron, and fortunately, he got canned fairly early on.

Vivica Fox went out on a high note - much more classier than Kenya Moore. -

S07.E13: The Countdown Begins

Phaedra has also been known to tell bold face lies - and think that others are stupid enough to believe them. She's far from this innocent Southern Belle that she tries to portray herself as. For someone who constantly brags about her intelligence, I find it very hard to believe she was clueless about Apollo's shady dealings. I also think he was right when he said that their marriage was more for image and convenience - and putting up a front. This is the same woman who had no problem fleeing her home to avoid the paparazzi at Apollo's sentencing. Yet she didn't seem to have a problem staying in the house with someone she alleges is abusive. Shady-Fay-Fay. -

RHOA is hardly a family friendly show. Fakedra and Apollo are dealing with some very heavy issues. Neither of their kids are old enough to choose being on TV. When it's young children, I'm in the camp of Brandi, Tamra, Camille - where their exes do not allow their children to be part of the show. Even Adrienne did not want her kids to be on camera. -

This is about Bruce. This has nothing to do with Kim or Kris - or any other family member - or the silly, scripted "reality" TV show. This is serious stuff. A woman was killed here - and that should never be equated with "getting attention". Sad. -

Let's not forget that an innocent victim lost their life. That's the real tragedy here. -
I disagree. Mei is addressing a disconnect that has long plague this show. In 11 seasons, only 2 women have won. There have been no African American winners. I'm not sure an openly gay contestant has ever won? For me, the low point, was Nina losing over Nick last season. So at least with Season 12, we know the winner won't be another white guy.

Caitlyn Jenner: Call Me Caitlyn

There is no indication that she got any payday out of this - or that she did not consult Bruce first. His mother is a key player in his story and her unconditional love is all that matters. Just as important, she represents a voice of someone from a very different generation. I seriously doubt this will impair their relationship. She really didn't divulge a whole lot to begin with. -

The irony is that I would say Lisa Rinna is probably more of a well known name. I honestly had no idea who Eileen Davidson is, since I don't watch daytime soaps. Yet it is her who was able to command the well-publicized $750,000 salary from BRAVO to sign to RHOBH, rumored to be the highest paid of the cast. The others earn between $450,000 and $500,000 for the season. -

Of course she does. Just like she constantly blames her ex-husband, etc. One thing Brandi is very good at - playing the innocent victim. The truth is, she is just a mean, rotten, vile person. The show would be so much better without her. Her desperate attempt to make up with Lisa V - a relationship which she was responsible for destroying in the first place - is her desperate attempt for storyline on the show. -

The person who won this episode was Eileen. I can see why she is the highest paid of the cast. I appreciated her TH about not being sucked into all the PR hype and let her work as an actress speak for itself, vs Lisa R's hustle, hustle, mentality. But then Eileen is an Emmy award winning actress on a major network show. And Lisa isn't.
