  1. This could be why the finale ratings were down from the last 2 seasons. The show dropped 17% from the 2016 fall edition. It's boring when the winner pretty much was determined in the first few weeks. This is supposed to be an amateur competition. There is no growth when someone consistently gets perfect scores week after week. The judges hardly ever gave Jordan any constructive feedback. For a ringer, he was lucky to have been paired with Lindsay - whom many felt was overdue for a win. Great to see that Frankie got a spot on the tour.
  2. Drew (and Frankie) have had more success in their professions than someone like Jordan will ever experience. Jordan is in for a rude awakening if he thinks doing ball room dancing will lead to some big career move. Maybe he can hit up Drew or Frankie for a loan, when he's between jobs and needs to pay his rent, lol.
  3. My point - it's hardly a level playing field in the dance studio - comparing someone who has professional dance experience - to someone who doesn't.
  4. Of course - considering he has professional dance training and experience. DWTS might as well change the rules that only ringers apply. Trust me, if the tables were turned, and Jordan had to compete with Drew in the business world, he would get killed.
  5. Yeah, very predictable = boring, forgettable. And he is a ringer - big time. The inflated judges scores could be to compensate for the audience voting. And it's ultimately the later that carries more weight. Also, shock boots happens, he could be this year's Normandi.
  6. It's all about Kelly's out of control ego. Just because she's on TV now, she thinks Michael isn't cool enough for her. Just like Vicki - who kicked good guy Donn out - and exchanged him for con man Brooks. Michael will be much better without her - and hopefully he has an iron clad prenup that will ice Kelly out.
  7. Not all the "celebrities" are from the entertainment world. And just because they are, it doesn't necessarily mean they have any professional dancing experience. Keep in mind that Ringers usually don't win. The voting audience likes to champion the underdogs. Making mistakes, etc is part of the growth process. If Jordan is that good where the judges have nothing constructive to give him, it tells me he is overqualified for this amateur competition.
  8. But DWTS is supposed to be about contestants like Drew - who came into the competition with no dance experience. That's what put the show on the map. I actually don't think the judges are hard enough on Jordan - who has been consistently over scored - because he has more dance experience than any of the other contestants.
  9. Bringing Danielle back has turned out to be a huge disappointment. With all her sucking up to Teresa, Danielle is nothing more than her sock puppet. She was more interesting back in Seasons 1 & 2 when she was the outsider, the villain. I could care less about the nonsense with her and Dolores. Missed opportunity for not pushing her shady and tumultuous past with Teresa and Melissa.
  10. Phillip Phillips is set to return with a brand new album, Collateral, which is set for release on January 19. The singer has shared the first song from the album, “Magnetic.” “I’m excited to show people who the new Phillip is,” Phillips said of the new album in a press statement. “These songs tell the stories about the past three years – all the good, all the bad, all the sad, all the happy. I promise this next release is worth the wait.” Phillips will follow the new album release with a tour, which launches in Cherokee, NC, on Feb. 9. 11. It's ultimately the viewers votes that carries more weight than the judges score. Ringers like Jordan often have a tough time, because they come off so polished - and ultimately not as relatable to the voters - than the underdogs.
  12. Being too polished in this kind of competition can be a down fall. Making mistakes, being frustrated, not always being confident are part of the growing process and makes the contestants more relatable. And it's why those are the kind of contestants DWTS love. I can't help but root for TO when he felt he was the weak link in his team. Whereas with Jordan, it's obvious he has a lot of dance experience. But the best technical dancer usually doesn't win.
  13. I was watching the day after entertainment shows, lots of love for Frankie. On his Instagram, he thanked Drew for being part of an incredible team. Hopefully, him being lifted at the end of the team dance - is a prelude to what happens when the winner is revealed:) Looking forward to his pairing next week with Alfonso. GO FRANKIE GO!!!
  14. I'm ok with GG, who IMO has often been treated unfairly by some of the others - and made the scapegoat - to distract from their own messes. She's crazy but at least she doesn't pretend to be holier than thou - unlike some of the others.
  15. I also think it ultimately came down to money. It appears Idol (to no surprise) was trying to low ball Kelly by offering her something like $7M. Then when TPTB lost Kelly (and Jennifer Hudson) to The Voice, they panic by giving Katy Perry the ridiculous $25M, which is way outside the industry average for being a judge. In addition to Kelly and Carrie, Fantasia left earlier this year, after completing her 5 album commitment. She signed with a smaller label.
  16. I think you are jumping to all sorts of conclusions. If Kanye was incapacitated as you claim, the media would be all over it. Someone heavily medicated would not be behind a wheel, going to the office. He was shown more with Cuba, because that was a big trip. He tends to be more in the public eye when he has something to push. Not going around mouthing off is a good thing.
  17. Huh? There's pictures of him celebrating Kim's b-day last week. And the next day he was seen photograph getting out of his car with a laptop as he headed into his L.A. office. Kanye is rarely on the show to begin with. Jonathan's red carpet appearance with Kim has more to do with him dressing up as Sonny to her Cher for Halloween.
  18. I don't see Kelly as a good influence - considering the way she treats her husband, mother. And she is known for spilling other people's personal business as of means of retaliation when she is mad at them.
  19. Danielle Staub has a horrible reputation for being divisive, stirring the pot and spinning lies. She was fired from the show the first time and obviously is desperate for a full time HW paycheck. She has said MUCH WORSE about Teresa.
  20. It just doesn't make any sense. It's not like they are close, so when would they even talk outside of filming? And Danielle does have a bad track record with the truth.
  21. At least Elena and Alex were part of the bitter jury alliance to vote against Paul. Oh, another big slap to Paul - with Cody and Jess tapped for The Amazing Race. He must be just fuming with jealousy. It should not be any clearer to Grodner that the real world is not interested in Paul. No, no, no to Paul for any BB All-Stars.
  22. Ryan Seacrest is now official as host (but with no EP credit as he had wanted). Lionel Richie has confirmed he is in talks. And rumor has it they are interested in Nikki Sixx as well. There was a lot of fan speculation regarding having an alum judge. But it appears that idea was pretty much dropped after Kelly Clarkson decided to sign with The Voice. Daughtry and Adam Lambert said they wanted the job, but said they have never been contacted by TPTB.
  23. Cody's rampage against Paul had to be fuel by what Dom had told him. I don't think Jess/Cody would go after Christmas or Jason.
  24. There's only 1 winner, so everyone else will be eliminated at some point.
