  1. ROTFLMAO! I too thought her and Jenn went shopping together with Austin Powers when Sami walked in the room with those pants. Although at least her black and red tops matched. Jenn's mustard and burgundy and black lace layering mess was atrocious. Was Abigail using Daniel's dry shampoo this week? Her locks looked like the ends got chopped in a blender. I can see why no one asked her to model.
  2. You are probably right about John Aniston. He definitely makes the most of his cameos. He has better lines than anyone else on the show. Ahh, Kayla taking off Steve's patch was when Days knew how to do things right. So much raw emotion and intimacy in that one scene. I wish they'd bred couples and characters like that today. Makes me nostalgic. So Theresa is supposed to be 27....I wondered what her age was. It's so hard to tell between the SORAS disease and the fact that she doesn't seem to discriminate with age in regards to the men she tries to sleep with. I like her character but I wish her end game was a little clearer to the viewers. Is she starting a collection of men in every age range?....JJ is a teen, I assume Brady is in his late thirties, Daniel in his forties??? Personally, I'd love to see her complete her collection and have at least a one nighter with NuBen (after he has a few dates with Abigail) just to get Abby's in a uproar and so she can see how that feels.to be cheated on.
  3. No dogs (a few loud children though) in this house and I missed that part too. Ditto for what went down between Jennifer and Eric in the park. One minute Jenn appears, the next Nicole is with Eric. The editing for Friday’s show was particularly bad. Too many important conversations shown off screen. Could they not have edited some worthless crap earlier in the week to show the scenes that actually had a purpose in the storyline(s)??? Technically Brady only gave up drugs during Dan-Gate (When Liam drugged Daniel and he got suspended from the hospital and the whole town cried). Brady vowed to stay sober till the truth came out (or some crap like that). Since Dan is reinstated and slicing people open again, I guess Brady is back to his world of addiction. John doesn’t hate Brady, but Brady seems to hate John in regards to the whole Kristin mess. They keep having run-ins that go nowhere basically or simply lead Brady to get even more trashed. It’s a good thing Hope was tied up in Who Killed Nick Fallon and that Roman and Abe are such worthless officers of the law, or Brady would have gotten arrested for public drunkenness wandering around the town square with an open container. LOL I missed the actual incident. All I know is that one episode started out with Jennifer nursing his wound in the bedroom. Since it was the two of them I’m ruling out any kind of wild sex because Jenn just seems to prissy for that. An STD seems far more likely and would have been a much more interesting SL. I suspect in real life the actor got a boo-boo that had to be written in at the last minute.
  4. The picture has now been whipped out more often than EJ’s….well you get the picture. Me too! I suspect among Days’ overall viewers it’s not that unpopular at all but among some boards it is. I too like Sami and EJ together when they are done right—as in partners in crime. I love the way that EJ can calm Sami’s hysteric and I think Sami is a perfect fit for him—as in she can walk in the room to find him sitting with a stack of money and a hit man’s phone number and calmly say “do it.” At the same time, I love their fights when they throw expensive antiques around the Dimera living room. I’m still waiting for Sami to hit the big portrait of Stef the next time EJ ducks. Those kinds of fights between them are hilarious and not something most couples could pull off. This is not to say that at one time I didn’t like Sami and Lucas together, but now I like them better as friends. I’ve watched Days since the early-mid ‘80’s. (Taking breaks during years where I just lost interest or had too much going on in my life to see it regularly). The first episode I recall was Marlena and Roman’s (WN) original wedding. I still think the best days of the show’s lives was during that decade when there was lots of mystery and adventure storylines and couples were written with epic romances between actors/actresses that had great chemistry together. My favorite characters were Steve, Kayla, Bo, Hope, and Shane, although I was never a big fan of Kim and I rooted for Shane to end up with Gabrielle (Eve’s mother). I miss the multitude of villains that the show used back then. It wasn’t just Stefano the big evil one; there were plenty of people that were devious but not all powerful (Emma Donovan, Alex Marshall, Savannah Wilder, Britta, etc.), or who appeared legit to the other characters but were later revealed to be off their rockers (Harper Deveraux, Dr. Hopkins, Gillian Forrester, etc.). Most of those reveals were what made tuning in and not missing an episode worth it. I wish some channel showed reruns just to see some of those times again and be able to discuss them. (Or make snark them—As in, look someone is standing on the pier looking off into the water in a shady area of town while creeps, criminals, and knifers, are on the loose.) I’ve never been impressed with Nicole. She’s always just sorta been there to me until this current ridiculous storyline where I’m just loathing her. I think Theresa’s character has a lot of potential and the actress is good but I’m afraid the current writers will blow it. Like wise, I thought there was potential for some good stuff with Theresa and Eve as they are sort-of two peas in a pod but without Charlotte Ross returning to play Eve, I don’t really want to see her come back. I also think the NuBen has potential but if he’s paired with Abby, there’s no hope. Hate Miss Deveaux with a passion. I think Daniel, Jennifer, Eric, and Nicole eat up too much screen time for four people that are pretty boring. I think Victor is still one of the show’s greatest assets, too bad they don’t use him more.
  5. Even though Nicole is a close second, I still have to vote for Abigail for today’s Daily Dumbest. “I slept with a man who pays someone to kill people,” she says sounding surprised!! It takes her till NOW to figure out what the Dimera’s do??? OMG, Salem U take back her degree because whatever is in her head isn’t brains. And was she being serious when she said “Hit men are known for having a conscious!” Really Abigail what hit men do you know that are so good natured and give the money back after they do the job? Please let the next murder mystery be about who killed her!
  6. I hope it finally clues her in on the type of man she went to bed with. When your ex lover tells you he tried to have your cousin murdered to shut him up it should be a good indicator that you need to keep your own mouth shut and stay the hell away from him. This is one of the things that grates me so much with EJABBY—they are so ill matched and she is so far in over her head. I’m surprised she didn’t run screaming from the room to mommy with her purse still clutched to her chest after EJ threw the thing at her and socked her in the gut. The frightening look she got said it all. Now Sami, she would have probably grabbed a million dollar vase, chucked it at EJ”s head, and screamed at him if he went through her purse like that. Then they would have had make-up sex on the couch afterwards. But at least Sami can hold her own with EJ. LOL
  7. And the Salem PD are idiots obviously too. Didn't Hope get the ballistics report last week? Wouldn't that tell her what bullets were recovered? Couldn't she use that information and compare it to the type of gun Kate owns? She knows what Kate has registered. Wouldn't studying the forensics evidence give her more reliable information than most of the interviews she conducted? Everyone is either half lying to her or she's obtaining info that will get thrown out in court later when they find out no lawyer was present and she's related to the victim.
  8. Abigail must be dumb as rocks to call EJ and tell him she's going to tell the truth when just the other day she accused him of being the one to take Nick out to keep him quiet. Please, oh please EJ--call the hit man back and put the money towards Abigail's execution.
  9. What is with all the bellbottom pants? So far I've seen Jennifer (twice), Paige, and now Gabby in them. I don't see people in the real world wearing them unless it's just a regional thing.
  10. Great thread! Endless discussion possibilities! Jen should get the award for last week's worst dressed for sure.
  11. I don't think Rafe is acting in any official capacity. He's just being the usual Salem nosy. Clearly the police station does not have metal detectors to go through when you enter or Sonny would have set it off. I was wondering why they (Sonny and Will) all touched the gun without wearing gloves in the first place. Even EJ knew to wear black gloves when he visited Percy and Nick in the office. He should have pointed that out to Hope on the survielence photos--"See Hope, I'm wearing my black murder gloves. If I was going to kill Nick I would have done it with my bare hands in his office." LOL
  12. You and me both! If there's one person on this show that you do not want to see naked covered only by a red heart pillow it's Nick! It's nausea inducing right up there with Abigail's sex face.
  13. OMG Yes! And for a second day in a row. Can we start a worst dressed thread around here? What in the world was MR and the wardrobe department thinking when they put her in that mustard yellow top with a cranberry sweater underneath a black sheer undergarment looking thing and bright paisley bell-bottom leggings. Hello Jennifer--Austin Powers called and he wants his pants back.
  14. LOL I would double like this if I could! I also wonder if someone other than EJ's hitman is proven to be the killer, will EJ get his money back or does Stefano just off the incompetent hitman? I have a hunch that the shots may have come from multiple guns.
  15. I also had some major issues with this finale. It was lackluster. Too much time was wasted with Norman’s whole attempted suicide. There was no suspense there—he’s the star of the show so you know he’s not going to do it. And I’m beginning to suspect part of the problem with the show is the too narrow cast. In season one we met the sheriff and deputy. The deputy got killed as part of the plot but then the sheriff continued on as a regular. And by halfway or so through this season the regulars became obvious and the guest stars expendable so there was no suspense on who was staying or going. I don’t mind the drug business and I understood from the start that they were using a type of Twin Peaks atmosphere with the show. But if the drug business is such a fundamental part of the town and we meet the biggest players in one season and they are all dead at the end of that season, what’s the point? Both Nick Ford and Jodi had tons of potential as characters that were either never tapped into or dropped too soon. Nick Ford could easily have manipulated Norma for another season as the by-pass story was developed (provided he didn’t go off the rails and kidnap Norman). It would have made way more sense for Dylan to advance in the business with Jodi still in charge than whatever it is they are going to do next year with Dylan running the whole thing??? I think I’d rather see Dylan become a deputy and work with Romero. Romero likes him and they have a similar sense of justice and working outside the conventional law. Plus it might make more sense down the road as Norman makes more kills and Dylan helps keep them quiet/Norman out of trouble. Dylan’s characterization this whole season was a big let down from season 1. There was very little humorous banter with Norma, which was essential to S1 because he saw Norma for how she really is and called her out on it. Instead in S2 Dylan spent most of his time looking dazed, stunned, or scared. Is he supposed to have been stoned all season? I’m not sure how else to explain your boss/lover getting killed a foot from you and you sit there with her dead body talking to the sheriff showing no grief. He was more upset/outraged over his first partner’s death in S1. I think Cuse is pulling his normal BS. I’m doubtful he has this plotted out any better than he did Lost. If you listen to things the actors say in interviews it points to exactly that—he’s making it up as he goes along.
  16. That line was great. They really do “fit” each other as Aiden said. No way would Jack be able to handle something like that. Jack is in love with a childhood memory. Aiden and Em are the perfect partners in crime, and I think Aiden is good for her. He understands her need and desire for revenge and seeing this through but he keeps her from sinking too far. Like at the end when he wanted her to come inside and celebrate Conrad’s take down and then deal with the rest tomorrow. Team Aiden all the way.
  17. That is not a modern day creation. Her first name was Norma before this TV show.
  18. I suspect this is going to be another example of Norma shooting herself in the foot. She pissed off George, thus pissing off his sister and with Nick Ford dead, no one is pulling strings for her with the council. This is probably how the bypass goes through and the motel starts to tank. I’m not sure I could buy that Dylan not only takes over the whole town’s drug business, combining two competing families but also becomes a big shot in city government. That’s just too much for me to buy, especially since Jodi, the agricultural expert of the business is now dead. I can see Dylan running things from a managerial perspective with Remo’s help since we’ve already established Dylan doesn’t know all the industry terms. Maybe Cupcake Boy can work for them full time with Remo as Dylan’s right hand man. I could buy Dylan doing double duty as one of Romero’s Deputies since he and Romero make a nice pair and seem to get along/trust each other though but I don’t see him controlling local politics. I think when Romera killed Aberhnathy he ran that business out of town. Abernathy said he traveled for his work so I think he had it going on in multiple towns. I think stomach flu is a common (though misnomer term) often used to describe a stomach/intestinal bug so that didn’t bother me on screen although I hate when people use them interchangeably in real life as if they are the same ailment. But what I thought was funny about that scene was how Emma questions that Norman was sick and in the hospital when Norma had previously told her that she couldn’t find Norman. It was with Romero that she tried to play off that Norman was sick. Norma was mixing up her lies. lol
  19. I love their dynamics and as much as Conrad is a ruthless bastard he's still more likable than Victoria and Daniel somehow.
  20. While I found the scene particularly humorous (Was that Percy’s knees knocking the sound I heard when he realized he was face to face with a Dimera? He definitely had the look of fear on his face) it was badly written in the sense that it takes “Santa Claus” to get EJ riled up and finally go Dimera on someone! Why in the world did it take till now for him to finally do something about the situation? He could have “handled” the whole Abigail situation this way from get go and there would be no pictures in the first place. And if I didn’t know Nick was going to die in another week, I’d be even more irritated that his scrawny little neck was still filtering air. I don’t think anyone has to question why JS would want to “pursue new projects” when you consider the moronic decisions they've been having EJ make.
  21. LOL and very possibly true. This! Like Abigail would have showed up on time if she had been knocking boots with EJ. JJ, a high school senior, isn't expected to have a social life beyond the Horton family but Abby can get her kicks from the heir to the town’s most notorious family and she doesn’t smell her own hypocrisy. I can only hold out hope that the writers are more self aware than the characters and Jennifer and Abigail are being set up for a really big downfall.
  22. So we need a plot where Jen, Daniel, Nicole, and Abby are stranded on Smith Island and Sami decides to go hunting.
  23. Two burning questions I have about today's episode so far: Why do Nicole and Jennifer wait till Dan and Liam are struggling to try and fire the gun? They've had numerous chances when Liam was alone. Did the writers recently watch the end of The Lost Boys when they wrote Liam's impaling scene?
  24. Nominations for today’s daily dumbest: Jennifer, simply for the most ridiculous statement ever made when being held hostage by a man with a gun who she just knocked out, “Nicole, we don’t need the gun!” Really Jennifer? You don’t think it would be useful or you’re simply to dumb to even take a gander at trying to fire it??? Inquiring minds want to know. Then again, maybe she was just planning on throwing stones at him once they got outside. Lord knows she’s good at that. And Nicole—for taking the time to practically feel up the knocked out lunatic while searching for his phone and relishing in flashbacks…and still doesn’t pick up the gun! Liam—for giving Nicole the choice where she wants to be shot AND for not pulling the trigger on all the many opportunities he had. Does he have poor muscle reflexes or something? Is there a drug for that? My favorite person today: Theresa, for telling Dan it’s all his own fault for not figuring out Liam sooner. Loved her “go look in the mirror” line. My second favorite line of the day: “Nicholas Fallon is a grade A bastard.” –EJ Third favorite: Kate telling Percy Greetings and get lost. And Ciera…oh my god. There’s just no words for her. “Nobody works for free.” And Johnny..."Why do you have a picture of Santa Claus?" LOL
  25. And this is ultimately how we know Liam is really crazy. A sane person would have shot her already.
