  1. If you want to look at it this way, Will/Sonny just went down like most of the Supercouples have. Steve/Kayla, Bo/Hope, Ej/Sami...they've all had one of the pair dead at one time or another and... All I hope is whenever they bring Will back and I don't doubt at some point they will because no one stays dead in Salem, that it's CM that reprises the role.
  2. After today's episode I would say he does. He seemed pretty with it to me. He always knew who he was and who Will was and he seemed to know exactly what he was doing.
  3. Having Will discover it through some kind of investigative reporting would have been much better. While the scene was acted well by Ben (and I've said that like...never), it did nothing for Will's character. He gave away what he knew and didn't take the outs he had. When Ben mentioned Abby listening to the wrong people, Will should have jumped at the chance to offer to talk to her and go then, before he claimed he had a deadline that he had to work on while at the same time offering to go somewhere else to talk. I couldn't help but wonder how much better CM would have done if he was still playing Will. They certainly dumbed Will down when the actors changed.
  4. So I don't know about anyone else but if I was alone in the same room with a necktie serial killer and I had said red necktie in my hands, I would not give it back to said killer. Me thinks I would exclaim it the most gorgeous tie I'd ever seen, say thanks for letting me have it, and get the hell out of there! But then maybe that's just my survival instincts talking ;-)
  5. That just made my Friday! :) I wonder it they are working on plans to bring them both back at a later date? I might just keep tuning in after this 50th after all. Now if only the next headline would read, "Ben strangles Abigail at the alter!"
  6. Haven't seen the article. Do you have a link? So should we assume she did not know what the plot/script would be when she signed on to come back for the 50th? How does that work when actors only come back temporarily? Do they know what's in store for their character?
  7. I think it's long past time they cast adult Andrew. I would rather see them develop their 20 something crowd instead of SORASing the elementary school crowd to teens. This would make far more sense than bringing Belle and Shawn back w/a teenage Claire. Andrew was born the year before Shawn; he should be their age and in his late twenties. I don't understand why the show neglects or limits this age range. Back in the 80's that was the core, popular characters--Kayla, Steve, Bo, Hope, Shane, Kim, Roman, etc.
  8. After the whole Eve thing I think it's safe to say that age isn't a big issue for JJ.
  9. I could see her split ends from a long shot camera angle, forget the close ups! I think it's time for a fresh cut. What was even more strange is that when she went out dressed up, her hair was still pulled back, looking like mine when I haven't had a shower or washed it and I'm planning on doing housework or cleaning out the garage for the day.
  10. Who leaves their windows unlocked when a serial killer is running around town??? I realize she's sleeping with the killer, but she doesn't know that! And do they live that close to the Dimera mansion? I swear I blinked and Chad went from daddy's living room to Trollop's bedroom.
  11. Uggh, Justin was super annoying yesterday. It's bad enough that just when Brady looks to be warming up to Theresa and actually has a heart he ruins it on his own; he doesn't need Justin helping him. Their conversation felt skeevy to me the way they talked about their "baby mamas." This show is becoming filled with deadbeat dads and cocky players. I felt like Justin was trying to bond with Brady over their shared "indiscretions"--the women they thought were good enough to sleep with and bear their first born but not have any other worthy role in their lives...or were worthy of love. This is bugging the heck out of me too! Why bring PR back to waste his time on scenes that could be shot by a stunt double??? LOL Maybe it's Clyde behind it all. He's expanding his illegal drug trade to the AARP market! This is another waste of talent in this role. I could see him in a great storyline with Kate except I'm grossed out that she already slept with his son. I did too. I think they are cute together.
  12. Yes, I completely agree this is an odd way to honor the show's 50th. It's like they are digging their own grave. There's a ton of wasted potential with veteran actors/actresses while the show continues to prop certain producer/writer favorites who are less talented. I seriously don't see how they are going to gain back a following or propel the ratings with the current stories or anything in the works. I'm already feeling the need to find a daily show schedule so I only have to tune in on certain days that appear to have potential. The rest is just a waste of my time.
  13. Because he threw the rest of the red ties in the river??? Good thing Higley made Rafe smarter or this would surely throw off the typically incompetent Salem PD.
  14. I missed the funeral due to a New Break interruption but what I saw that followed was strange too. Noticeably absent was Shane, Kim, and Andrew. Was there even an excuse provided? What about Gabrielle, Eve's mother? Where was the rest of the Brady's? This show sure liked insulating Eve/Pagie's story to the Horton's. And from a plot/story telling perspective, so odd that Abigail was sick and thus her and specifically Ben didn't attend. Wouldn't it have been far more dramatic to see his reaction to the funeral since he's the killer. I always thought he's a lackluster choice. I expect them to beef it up somehow.
  15. Do tell. News break interrupted a good portion of my viewing.
  16. LOL@ Chad to Andre, "I don't even know where you came from!" Neither do us viewers Chad!
  17. So Justin starts with J...and so does jerk. What is up with his attitude? What are the writers doing to him? Dude is seriously not doing an unbiased job.
  18. Come to think of it, maybe the writers need a poster of Stef's family tree in their office. Something nice and big like the murder board down at the police station. Long time fans should send them one for Christmas along with a Cliff Notes booklet on the show's history so they quit failing the viewer tests. ETA: I've got it! The next idea for a primetime reality contest show...soap writers compete against other in challenges to come up with unpredictable original plots that are true to the show's history. The winner gets to be head writer. The show can even be hosted by AS.
  19. Yeah I think that was mentioned back in the '80's. Feels like the writing is so sloppy with all these character returns. Maybe the new writers have gotten in over their heads with bringing so many vets back at once. ....or a fabulous idea might be for them to include a scene w/Stef and Andre explaining his reappearance and if they need to save time they could edit some of the other scenes that add nothing to the show.
  20. Andre was just like "hey, I'm Andre, Stefano's son." Really Stef should keep a family tree in the hall so his kids can keep track of their siblings. Which got me thinking, has Stef ever spawned a child with the same woman twice? Who is Andre's mother now that Stef is his father? Are we to assume he and Tony really were twins? Did they explain this and I missed it? I'm all about Theresa finally getting some credit for her talents but must the show use Abigail to save the day for her? Again more Trollop propping. I wonder if this means the wedding will get that far--to the alter. Will Trollop marry Necktie Killer? Wonder if the show will acknowledge's Andre's past as a serial killer. Funny that Chad, his brother, is being framed as one now.
  21. I might seriously start fan girling over Andre. He was spot on today. I was thinking how stupid Chad was behaving and then Andre totally called him out on it. The new kids in town (Andre and Steve) are noticeably smarter than everyone else in town. If the writers were smarter, there’d be something to that. Honestly if it weren’t for Andre and Steve, I’m not sure I’d bother tuning in. I just can’t anymore with this ridiculous Abigail propping. The bridal shops let the girl take dresses home to try on? And Teresa is good enough to make her wedding dress but they make snide comments about hiding the booze and silverware. If that whole scene with her and Jen didn’t scream “rich snob” I don’t know what does. Trollop is something else that she thinks she’s so much better than Theresa. Again all her misdeeds are brushed under the rug. And what’s up with Theresa having to throw Ann under the bus to hang with people that put her down? I understand Theresa giving up drinking but now she’s going to play servant to those who treat her like dirt?
  22. They'll probably have to stay "close" less the show embrace inbreeding. Too many of the legacy kids are all related to each other. When this next batch is SORASed it's going to be slim pickings in the mate department unless they bring in some other teens. Poor Joey has Ciara and Claire to hang out with but he's related to both so he can't date them.
  23. This probably belongs in the Unpopular Opinion thread but since it deals with today’s episode I’ll leave it here. I find Aiden far more interesting as a bad guy. I liked the twist of Andre paying off his debts and now owning him. TP back on screen feels like a breath of fresh air. I really don’t feel any chemistry between Hope and Aiden; they kinda bore me. I do think that Hope and Rafe have potential. I thought that long before it was announced the story was headed that way. (Like before Aiden even came on screen). They make sense to me and have more potential for storylines being cops/partners. Now I don’t like when writers prop certain characters and I know that GG is rumored to be her pet, but I can’t complain about her making Rafe wiser. A lot of the characters on this show could use that. Nothing wrong with the scarecrow going to the great Oz for a brain. Like Chad. He could use a good trip to Oz. Am I the only one that sees the homeless guy being completely discredited on the stand by Justin when he admits he accepted money from the defendant to come forward with an alibi? Ironically, step-families are all the rage in contemporary romance novels currently so I'm surprised Days isn't embracing it to the hilt and exploiting it for all it's worth. They can't come up with much original material these days so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they followed another trend. Then again with the "sis" and "bro" comments between Chase and Ciera, who knows what they'll do with them once they age them. Speaking of SORASing Ciera, I'm sorely disappointed. I like the current actress and it's so odd that we are seeing them on screen now in their school uniforms playing Monopoly and in 2-3 weeks they'll be able to drive a car. SORAS is bad enough but I can over look it a little more if the character has been off screen for years before.
  24. I honestly have no interest in anything Adrienne's character is involved with. I've never liked her. At the very least she bores me, and when she turns all hypocritical she irritates me. The topic feels like it came out of the blue. I didn't even know Jo is still alive--I totally thought she was dead and even Kayla acted like she hadn't seen her in a long time. I feel like it's operating more like a PSA for October's breast cancer awareness month than anything else. Maybe if it would have been woven in a a little better--like Jo was actually on screen and we saw that evolve with Adrienne being her support person. Don't get me wrong, as the daughter of a mother who's had a type of female cancer, I understand how it changes your outlook and makes you consider your own risks. I just feel like it's being paced strange and probably only serving to fuel the love triangle of Justin/Adriene/Lucas. I don't understand why the show can't find a good woman for Lucas either. I can't get past the age difference with Adrienne so I'm not on board with that one at all. And I always liked him as Sami's friend better than her lover, but I feel like there has to be someone out there for Lucas that he'd be great with. I'd kinda be curious to see if he has any chemistry with Theresa. I think she and Brady have chem but the writers keep making him act like a jerk so maybe it's time for Theresa to move on. Today I wished that Sami was still around to take Theresa under her wing and show her the ropes of dealing with Nicole and Kate.
  25. I really hope they move this along. I feel like this Bo thing is moving at a snail's pace and is wasting the limited time that PR is probably back. A double could have done most of what we've seen. It's been like 3 weeks since his official return and he's not uttered more than a few lines or interacted with anyone beyond his kidnapper thugs. They better really pull of some gold scenes with him and Steve to make this all worth it.
