I agree they are. I didn’t mean it in a good way. I meant it that Pedro’s mother is smarter than Chantel’s mom, running a scam and pulling her son’s strings. Both woman are pretty similar and controlling, but Mother Pedro pulls it off savvier.

If you rewatch the conversation the two you of them had after the fight, Larissa did allude to Colt being possessive. The question I have is how did the one who locked themselves in the bathroom, apparently out of fear, and had their phone turned off, end up arrested? Coltee must had told a good tale. JMPO, I think he gaslights her and causes her to lose it. He loves having the power and torturing her. I’m curious, too, to how Debbie’s screen was torn. If Colt didn’t have a hand in it, he would have thrown Larissa under the bus. Debbie was almost giddy at the thought of Larissa being deported. I do believe that Pedro and Chantel met organically. Also, believe Pedro’s mom is running some immigration/green card scam. I think Pedro married for love but once his green card came through, his mother upped her game and urged him to divorce Chantel. She wants Pedro working for her alone. Pedro is a means to an end for his mom and she manipulating him with guilt and cultural norms. Chantel is a distraction, emotional and financially. You can tell his attitude towards his wife and marriage changed after the meeting with the immigration lawyer. Pedro acts different with his family. No different on how Chantel interacts with her family back home. Both are guilty of putting their family of origin first over their spouse. He should have spent time with his wife. I’ll give Chantel props for not telling her parents what she found out about Pedro and his family. She’s learning. No, Mother Chantel, Pedro’s mom is not jealous of you. She has her own gig going that can run circles around your life. In fact anyone who watches the show, doesn’t want to be you. Pao and Russ you don’t have a kid to save your marriage. Ashley is just a foolish woman. She gets what she deserves.

Pao is going to do what Pao wants especially if it will create drama. I’ve given birth twice naturally, no drugs. Granted my labors were quick. The pain was intense. I don’t see Princess Pao enduring labor pain for very long.

You make a good point. If the husband did shoot her, there would be a messy crime scene. You would think there would be some blood evidence.

Most universities today use electronic keys/student IDs to enter the dorms. If Lauren’s ex was there often, I could see someone letting him in, because they thought he belonged there. I didn't understand why her parents did not fly out. They were all pretty naive.

I found it weird when the mom was asked what she missed with her daughter being gone, the mom said grandchildren. You would think she would say something loving about her daughter. I just got the feeling that the mom didn’t like her daughter. Maybe that’s why her daughter got married at 18. Also, she just appeared to like her SIL more that her own blood. Something not right there.

It speaks volumes about this show that the most talked subject is a grilled cheese sandwich. Jenny and Sumit seem really immature to me. Jenny is just a mess and pretty sure she’s been a mess he’s whole life. Sumit thought bringing Jenny here and lying to his parents was a good idea in theory, but, in reality, it’s not. He talks a big game but can’t pull the trigger. This isn’t going to end well for Jenny. Angela 2.0 looks like she gained 30lbs since her last visit to Qatar. Not that matters Pretty sure this guy has no intentions on bedding her anyways. Don’t know his game, but it isn’t going to end well. Mormon guy is being played. Losing all your savings at your age is not tragic. He’s young. He’s able to recover financially. Hopefully, he learns a lesson or two. Woman going to South Africa with her son is another foolish idiot. Sad to see these kids dragged through this drama. When her son was saying good buy to his friend, I just thought to myself that they will see each other again soon. Daddy will mess up pretty quickly and they will be back. Paul and Katrine are a mess. Will continue to be a mess. At least their kid will have her family to look over it. Neither one is capable of raising a kid.

Everyone at that table was responsible for their actions. It’s obvious that they were all itching for a fight. Chantel was angry at Nichole and put her family up to get back at her. Although, I understand why Pedro wanted to punch River’s lights out, it’s still was not Ok. Once Mother Chantel started up with Nichole, Pedro should have walked out with his sister instead of engaging. He is lucky he wasn’t arrested. Everyone, all family members, should apologize. They all are guilty of bad behavior.

I think the Nichole/Azan storyline is TLC producer driven. The whole drama has passed its prime. TLC was hoping for another Mo/Dani shit show, but it hasn’t panned out. Nichole isn’t that good of an actress. She doesn’t have the emotion she once had. It’s obvious Azan is done. If he was in it for $$$, the big paycheck would be going to Granada to be paid by the show.

No, it’s not. The families need to decide if they love their kids more and want a relationship more than they hate their spouses. The kids need to decide if their marriage is more important than their dysfunctional families. Either way, the children really have all the power. If their families can’t be civil, they walk. So, yes, it’s easy. I know this because I’m not a fan of one of my kid’s spouses. I’ve had to make that choice. The love for my kids outweighs any dislike for someone else.

The noble gesture would be to tell your family that this is my spouse. If you want a relationship with me, then treat my spouse kindly. What happened in the past needs to stay there. Both Pedro and Chantel need to say this to their respective families. And both need to stop bitching to them about each other. Both Pedro and Chantel put their family of origin first over their marriage.

I’m a MIL. My kids tell me things about their spouses. Some pretty bad. One spouse, I’d like to drop kick out of the family. I know how to handle the information and not to bring it up to start an altercation. I will counsel my child, but know that they have to make their own choices. Chantel should be able to tell her parents anything without resulting in a brawl. The fight is not her fault. Her mother started it. The purpose of that dinner was to call out Nichole and Pedro. Mother Chantel got what she wanted. Bottomline: Chantel is not responsible for her parents’ actions. They are.

Of course he should. But one doesn’t leave without a return date and act shady about it. The proper thing to do is say I’m going for a week. Coming back on this flight. Will miss you and love you. When it comes to the DR, Pedro shares nothing with his wife. He acts like he’s not married. That’s the problem. And that’s not ok.

Moving to Savannah wouldn’t have helped Pedro’s and Chantel’s marriage. Neither one of them are ready to take the steps necessary to improve their marriage. Both feel they are in the right and the other is wrong. Instead of running to the DR, that money could be better used for marriage counseling to help patch things together. That’s what I call working on my marriage. Pedro’s mother is an immigration lawyer. She wanted Pedro to marry an American. Pedro and Chantel always appeared to be a love match to me. His goal was just to marry Chantel. His mother’s was clearly to harvest the American dollar. Chantel is collateral damage. .

I think Larissa wants a place of their own. At this point, I think she will take anything. Debbie can live on her own. Colt is the issue. He can’t live without his mom. Too cheap to buy his own car. Loves being between two women. Regardless, if either Pedro or Chantel makes the money, they are married. It’s not his or hers. It’s theirs. They are a team. Anything Pedro sends to the DR is Chantel’s as much as his if it was bought with their funds. Mother Pedro should remember that. Personally, I thought Pedro’s mom was rude. Chantel had nothing to do with the fight between Pedro and her brother. Her family was at fault. She isn’t responsible for them. Both families come off as nasty. Chantel could have said she was sorry it happened to ease ruffled feathers but of course she would never do that.

Agree. Also I get the feeling he wants more than his station in life will allow. He’s hanging his star Jenny to obtain that. I just don’t see him thinking it all through. I do think he really cares about her. That is genuine.

I think Azan is just over the show. It’s bad for business and fleecing other woman. I thought planes fly both way to the US Albania. Why can’t Stacey’s boyfriend visit her here? Find that suspicious and wonder if he’s really that into her? Darcy is a liar and would have relocated to Holland and left her know kids behind in New York minute if Jesse wanted her to. Isn't Pedro’s mother an immigrant lawyer? Seems to me she’s running some scam. His sister and mother are no better than Chantel’s family. If my husband was using our savings to fund a sketchy trip to the DR, I’d empty that account and move the money else where. Colt is one creepy dude. Yes, Colt is enjoying the attention he’s getting from both women and is not in a hurry to pick a wife. It’s obvious Debbie is doing everything to sabotage her son’s marriage and get Larissa deported. She’s the real bitch. David and Annie are two married grifters enjoying the spoils of TLC.

I think the only problem Chantel’s family has is that they are fame whores and will do anything to be on the show.

It looks like a Larissa wore another dress for her high class reception. Coltee probably wanted to resell the actual wedding dress and didn’t want to get it dirty.

I doubt that. She likes the good life her brother affords her working in the US. And wouldn’t be surprised if her end game is immigrating to the US to harvest the American model and become a celebrity.

I don’t think it would have mattered. She was set on Miami before she arrived here. Russ’ parents, lack of Latin community and a more conservative vibe are all excuses just to relocate to Miami. Know many conservatives who happily live in predominantly liberal communities and visa versa. Most people are respectful of differences. What bothers me is that Pao and some of the other foreign spouses feel the American spouse owes them because they left their life in their homeland behind. The American spouse is expected to turn their live upside down, change jobs, relocate so the foreign spouse can have the life they dreamed of. That’s not fair and is plain manipulation. It was the foreign spouse’s decision to leave. Their choice. They didn’t have to leave. They are owed nothing. If they come here and decide their spouse’s life is not what they expected or will not make them happy, then go home. That’s why I respect Jonathan. Granted, not too happy with his choice in marrying an 18 year old. But respect him for not being manipulated and lead around by the nose by a manipulative, selfish wife. He pulled the plug. Russ should take note.

I respectfully disagree. If I was Russ’ family, I would be concerned about Pao marrying my son for a green card. Any parent would have that concern. It happens. I’ve known people personally who have married for a green card. It’s a natural reaction. It’s also a natural to want your children to marry someone who is like minded, same religion and upbringing. That’s human nature. It’s not hate. Questioning Pao’s motives and hating her for being Latina is a pretty large leap. And really not fair. Granted, I don’t know any of these people personally but have watched the show. I don’t see Russ’ parents as people who intentionally want to hurt anyone. And I wouldn’t even called them hypocrites. Maybe ignorant. But not hypocrites. I would not compare them to Chantel’s family. They are not even close. JMPO, but I think Pao is the problem. It doesn’t matter what Russ’ family did or didn’t do, the result would have been the same. Pao would have made Russ’ family the enemy no m after how nice they were to her in order to justify going to Miami to be a model.
