From the quote it sounds like Cranston took ONE low level course. Even a lot of ex-Scientologists, like Chris Shelton, have said that some of the introductory courses (the ones that are free or like $50), like the communications course, contain some good & useful information. Of course, considering what you can get into after those first classes, you'd be better off going to Toastmasters or any other non-culty organization to learn communications skills. Of course, since Cranston DID take one class, he's now in the central files and probably still receives their mailings (unless celebs are better at keeping their contact info under wraps).

Judging from what I've seen on Tony Ortega's blog, they do keep your information FOREVER. It's part of what they call "Central Files" and he and Mike Rinder frequently post fliers from Scientologists urging fellow members to come in and help them organize the files. (They have to be on paper because that's what LRH decreed.) There are certain Sea Org'ers whose job is to write letters to people whose info is in the files. Tony Ortega has posted some super creepy ones. Here's one in which a guy was contacted 46 YEARS after he took an introductory course.

When I do watch Trevor, I think he's doing a great job. But as someone who survived all eight years with George W. Bush in office and watched Jon Stewart every night, I just don't think I can put myself through it again on a nightly basis with Trevor. I feel like I already have Trump Fatigue and he's only been in office for a week.
