  1. You guys warming up to Carisi yet? I've been a fan since 'Stachegate, but his character has been uneven. I like how he was written last night -- no one rolling their eyes or finding him over-eager or naive. Scanavino's got great charisma, and it makes for a very likeable Carisi, IMO. And he's pretty.
  2. Peter Scanavino discusses his character Carisi (both in this specific episode and in general) in this video. He's aware of how his character comes across, and he's very appreciative of his fans. What a great smile!
  3. There's a pilot being filmed called "Kingmakers" which is coyly being couched as a spinoff. When Jack's friend was brought in to help frame Margeaux, I thought the character might be a future tie-in.
  4. David: "It's in my brain." This explains so much.
  5. "First dig two graves." The *most* fitting two graves, in my opinion, would be Victoria and David, as their affair put everything in motion. In that way, Emily gets her revenge but also suffers loss.
  6. With Victoria wealthy once more and to some degree financially capable of revenge -- and highly and legitimately (in her eyes) motivated after the death of her unborn grandson caused (as Margeaux wanted her to believe) by Emily -- I think the series could turn the tables on Emily and make good on that "first dig two graves" quote in the voiceover at the beginning of the series.
  7. I apologize for being so shallow, but I found myself distracted by Nick Wechsler's arms a lot in this episode. It seems to me there was a lot more shirtlessness last season, and I find it strange that with all of the perplexing precinct locker room scenes neither Ben nor Jack has ever been shown actually showering or changing clothes. *Edited for grammar
  8. While I love the idea of Margeaux faking a miscarriage, staging a very real accident seems pretty risky, even for her. Perhaps the accident was real, but the miscarriage wasn't? Could you pull off that kind of lie in a hospital?
  9. I think Lyman's death may be traumatic for Louise, considering how her father died.
  10. What would happen in this quiet community if someone, say one of those elderly folks, passed away in the middle of the night?
  11. If Carisi's colleagues don't give him a break, I'm gonna cut a bitch. Olivia's "I get it!" says more about her than it does about Carisi, as did Barba's "Booya! Fordham Law!" last week (crushing, perhaps? Hmm???). There aren't many likeable characters on this show any more, and the ones I still enjoy watching (Fin, Barba, Carisi) don't get enough screen time. Thankfully, Amara and Rollins have been less annoying in the last couple of episodes. Benson? So annoying now that at times I seriously want to change the channel. Cragen never got on my nerves; why can't the writers allow Benson to successfully pull off a work/life balance and JUST FUCKING BE HAPPY??? Was it surprising to anyone else that Fin was a gamer? It's almost like things were retconned so someone could explain the gamer culture. If I'd been at the writer's table, Carisi would have been my first choice for gamer, as we know nothing about his past. My second choice would have been Rollins; gaming could have been an early addiction, and having another female knowing the ins and outs of gaming would have served the story well. Carisi in jeans, smiling? Thank you, whomoever. Peter Scanavino, where have you been all my life?
  12. As someone else has pointed out, the series opened with the Confucious quote, "Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves." Now, I'm all for the show following through with what was foreshadowed in the premier: Emily's downfall. However, the only way I'd be satisified with this ending is if the final blow was delivered by a worthy adversary, and Margaux ain't it. And if they somehow pull some stupid retcon to explain how she can seriously one-up Emily...well that'd be just cheap writing.
  13. I don't know if it's the actor or the writing, but with his being Emily's father, I expected David to be much brighter. I hope Margaux's newfound thirst for revenge is fleshed out, because her love for Daniel never seemed that strong and it seems quite disproportionate.
  14. Carisi undercover as a wacko inmate? Still hot.
  15. Speaking of Peter Scanavino's face, what was the purpose of having Carisi interrupt over putting in OT? I didn't understand that at all.
  16. It has nothing to do with the actors, but other than Barba, Finn, and Carisi, I'm not really liking any of the characters on this show. Amanda's consistently hit-or-miss, Amaro's always been an ass, and Olivia's becoming a bitch. That last observation is one I struggle with; if Kragen had been written like Olivia (I don't think he had been), I hope I'd have called him a prick.
  17. Liking the character more, and Peter Scanavino is total eye candy. So, yes. Could someone write me some Carisi/? slash fiction? :-)
  18. When Carisi was first introduced, I didn't like his character. I'm not sure if it's because I'm crushing on Peter Scanavino or if they've softened Carisi up a bit (he looks and sounds a lot different now compared to the first episode), but SVU now seems to have regained some of its mojo. His absence in this episode was noticeable. Is it okay to watch a show for an actor? LOLZ <edited for grammar>
  19. That elevator scene was the most interesting thing I've seen on this show in a long time. I could've watched an hour of that banter. It's the first time ever I've seen any real chemistry between any of the show's characters.
