  1. ^^This is mostly in regards to previous episodes leading up to his deployment. It didn't seem to show up so much this week.^^
  2. Will fucking SOMEBODY please tell Isaac that it's OK to cry and feel sad about this? He's not crying because he's not getting his way, this is hard on him. When it comes to serious things I tell my kids that it's OK to feel sad, it's OK to cry and it's OK if they don't. I also tell them it's OK to feel happy again. Not everything is worth crying over, but some things are. I don't remember how many times I've heard her say "Don't cry" specifically, (and I do think I've heard it) but when he does cry she quite often seems to try to stop it. I understand that parents don't want to see their kids sad, but that doesn't mean they won't be. But if you are dismissive of their feelings when they express them to you, they will learn that you don't want to hear it, and they will feel sad AND alone.
  3. It's confirmed, Bounty and Scot are tolerable when not together. I still don't care for either of them on their own, but when they team up to treat people like trash and have little temper tantrums, the rage I feel burns with the heat of a thousand suns. They really bring out the worst in each other.

    S32: Ponderosa

I was OK with Julia getting voted out because she teamed up with such horrible people (although it showed she was a strategic thinker and it really could have benefited her if only...). But I didn't dislike her and I think she's wise to be open to the lessons offered in that kind of rare situation. What a blessing to experience so much personal growth at such a young age, it will benefit her in her life. Many people much older than her don't seem to be willing to learn as much about themselves. She has an excellent attitude. I would not be surprised to see her back sometime.

Except they were asses way before they withdrew their hand of blessings.
  6. I didn't know Josh was fired from the TB! How did I miss that?
  7. Well Dara took a huge shit last night. They must feel so much better.
  8. Jake A wasn't shown this week, or last IIRC (aside from the Captain's Cut at the end). Is he not fishing Bairdi? We didn't see the Northwestern this week either. Also, while the other captains may fish in stronger winds and seas, Sean and his crew are not seasoned as are the rest of the crews. It would have been foolish for him to go too far out from what his experience has trained him to handle. I hope the other captains aren't too hard on him for that. I think in many professions the veterans forget what it was like when they were the inexperienced guy. If he would have kept fishing and someone got hurt, the same people who might complain that he was too cautious would likely be saying it wasn't smart for an entire green crew to be fishing such weather. Speaking of a green crew, does anybody know where the term 'green', in relation to new mariners comes from? Is it from being seasick? I was also surprised to learn that it's common to put a greenhorn in charge of the boat while everyone was sleeping. Seems like a huge responsibility to give someone when you don't really know just exactly how responsible they are when not supervised. Or if they have any sleep disorders. I really don't think that blond guy even realized that he fell asleep, I think he really thought he just closed his eyes for a second, and I don't even think he meant to do that much. That's exactly how people fall asleep while driving. And the second guy? He didn't even wake up when his equilibrium was off. He was all over the place before he even began sleep walking. It would have seemed more reasonable to have a reliable deckhand take the first watch and let the newbies get a little sleep first. Then you can learn a little about how they function in a dark quiet room while fatigued, before putting everybody's lives in their hands. But according the the Time Bandit article, that's what they do. Thank you for this, I had a lot of these same questions myself. It was an interesting read.
  9. Did Leah drop the girls off in the dark, in a parking lot, to walk to the entrance? We didn't get a good view of the drop off, but it was still mostly dark and I don't think she got out and walked them to the door. Maybe someone met them at the car? Maybe they were actually directly in front of the entrance? That really stood out to me, but since nobody else mentioned it I'm thinking it wasn't as it appeared to me. We have a horseshoe shaped drop-off point at my 1st graders school and I don't get out and walk him up because he gets out of the car 5 steps from the entrance, so maybe that's the case here.
  10. That has to be thee most unpopular, of all the unpopular opinions! Lol I think part of the reason people disliked Nikki and Paolo so much is because they were introduced quite a bit after the rest of the main cast. I personally thought 'Who the F are these people?' I felt like the dynamics of the main Losties were already well established. It seemed weird to me that they were introducing new characters, who had supposedly been there the entire time, that we had not seen and who were worthy of a flashback. Also, IMO, I don't feel they had nearly the same on-screen chemistry with the rest of the cast that the cast had with each other. However they did a good job with the way they added most of the rest of the later characters, the majority of them fit in very well. Except Naomi, I was glad when she died. I have wondered what would have happened to Nikki and Paolo if they had been introduced to us with the rest of them. There would have been a much better chance of them being accepted. S3 was too late to say 'Here are these people you've never seen but have been here the whole time." I also thought Kate and Sawyer were better together, but she did have chemistry with both. I also would have loved to see Juliet and Kate as good friends! I've heard they were IRL. PS Your English is excellent, I would have never known it wasn't your first language!
  11. I actually see a key or fob with a key ring on it. After some staring I could see it as a pipe, too. But if it were a pipe, I think the camera would have zoomed in on it. I think she was high on pills. Which is way worse, IMO.
  12. I never thought about it that way and it was like a punch in the gut. I don't wish that kind of pain on anybody. The regret she's going to have is going to be crushing and it'll likely keep her drugged up. As soon as that horrible feeling creeps in, she'll want to get high and escape it.
  13. If this is how Leah starts off the girlses school mornings when she is being filmed, imagine what it's like when it's just her and the kids. They know when they are going to be filmed, it's not like a camera crew just popped in unexpectedly. That was her, 'prepared' for filming, AND during a custody fight. That says more than anything about her mental function.
  14. I hope they conclude the entire story next season, because if the percentage of people on this board that have said that they are done with the show is representative of the percentage of the general audience who are done with this show, then that will be the second and final season. So if someone from this show's production is monitoring forums to gauge what the feeling is, my advice is to tighten up the plot holes and pick up the pace.
  15. So the VIP kidnapping turned out to be a VIP murder, and they stopped attacking the colony? K
  16. We have to wait till 2017 for the next season?!? I thought it would be like some shows where they have two shorter, split seasons a year instead of one regular, like spring and fall rather than fall and winter. I was hoping it would come back in September. Who remembers the good old days when a show started in September and ran till around May, then ran re-runs through the summer. Now we get Jan-March then have to wait till next Jan? That's bullshit in my book. No wonder shows have such a hell of a time succeeding anymore, they don't give them a chance to build an audience. If I remember correctly, CHEERS bombed in the ratings it's first regular season, but when it went to re-runs in the summer it found an audience and became one of the most popular shows of all time. Now they cancel them if they're not hits right off the bat or give them some sort of mini-season once a year and expect people to remain interested. I like it enough to watch again next year, provided my DVR remembers to record it, because by then, I won't. So those that were on the fence about the show, they're goners. And there's THAT, too.
  17. Early on I kept waiting to find out that some of the collaborators were really trying to help the population because they knew what would happen if things got out of hand. But it doesn't appear that this will be the case. They really seem to be sympathetic to the occupation.
  18. Paraphrasing... Broussard: I'm going to have to disappear. You won't see me for a while. *One week later* Broussard: I gave you that week to process your feelings and move past seeing your friend and her kids hanging from a bridge. LOL
  19. Did anybody know till tonight that Will and Beau were planning an escape? I like Beau and hope we see him again. Maybe he'll show back up next season with tons of intel.
  20. While it's most likely an alien force, I've thought maybe it's future humans and they've come back to change something that happened along the way. Possibly save the planet from humans destroying it with pollution and war. I don't know, just a thought. But I'm on board with the idea that this was set up long before, and the 'arrival' was just the date it was implemented.
  21. I think Vanessa would be awesome in a dark roll in a movie. We got a glimpse of that in the Santa Baby (I think it was called) skit. She'd do a good Single White Female type.
  22. Katie is a natural at deception??? Uh, no. I feel sorry for Will, he seems to love her so much. I hate to say it but I'd be OK with Katie getting killed off, but Will doesn't know whether it was Resistance or Collaboration that did it, and uses his resources to investigate both. Then we can learn what the hell is what. Will would be devastated and then find solace in the arms of... Katie's sister maybe? They bond over Katie's death and already know each other well. Even if they don't become a couple, there could be a lot of emotional and sexual tension between the two. With that being said I am really hoping for another 'love' scene with Josh Holloway this season. Dude is GOOD at love scenes! But I think it has more to do with the fact that he was in love with the women he was with in those scenes (speaking about characters, of course) and bringing emotion into it sets it apart. In LOST when they showed him with the women he was conning, it was meh. But put him with Freckles or Katie and that is hot, hot, hot! So, one more love scene with Katie, then she needs to take one for the Resistance. It sounds like I'm in the minority, but I like this show. This is generally not a genre I watch so I don't have much to compare it to. However, this is not LOST, not primetime on a major network, and it's not 2004. There is no way they can withhold so much information and stick around long enough to reveal all (or most) in the final season. Unless they plan on next season being the final season. I have enough interest to stick around, but it doesn't sound like many others do. If they are trying to recapture what they had in LOST by using the same formula they need to switch tactics, it will never happen that way again, IMO. Side note: Characters I don't want to see die; Broussard, Will, Beau, Snyder, and the blond girl that works with Will. I think they all have a lot of potential.
  23. Thanks! lol I think this could really be a fun game. ;)
  24. I see a woman who's body has turned into a pillar of salt, but who's head has not, on the left. And a dog standing on two legs with a racoon tail, on the right. And they are both tied to stakes.
  25. On a side note, in the picture at the top of the page it appears that Will is channeling Frank Lapidus.
