  1. I expected Jack’s daughter to go complete Violet Beauregard and say “But I want it! I want it!” to Jack
  2. This was a great episode. Maybe because it was more Law focused but it had great detective work. The defendant was perfectly slimy. And Cosgrove has really grown on me. I’m surprised the defendant didn’t plead out. I mean, he tried killing a cop. I don’t see how you get away from that.
  3. I liked this ep even though I knew it was the boyfriend as soon as they mentioned the daughter was cheating on him. But how did they find the burner phone? The law side has gelled pretty well alright Camryn Manheim isn’t given much to do and definitely isn’t as good as Van Buren. I liked how Cosgrove’s personal life got caught up in this. Price and Maroun still aren’t great. Price’s morals seem to change each week. One minute he’s a bleeding heart liberal, the next he’s ultra conservative.
  4. Old Law & Order would have probably handled this social issue better.
  5. I thought the twist was going to be the accused and Maroun were long lost twins
  6. Why is Price written to be so stupid? Like he really didn’t think they would find out he had a past relationship with the victim and that wasn’t going to be relevant? This case really stretched believability. Both the presiding judge and Price should have recused themselves from the beginning.
  7. Enough with the foot chases!
  8. Way to fight for your people, Dixon Strongest episode so far had minimal Maroun and no foot chases. Can’t be a coincidence.
  9. How corrupt was the judge in this episode? Letting the defense make absurd charges accusing a witness of pedophilia? Ignoring blatant witness tampering and bribery? This new season still blows. I hope Maroun leaves soon. She’s the weakest link.
  10. Something still feels off about this reboot. First, everything is too shiny and brightly lit. I miss the dark and grainy feel of the original. And while I’ve warmed to the Law side (even though I miss the Van Buren so much), the Order side needs work. Price and Maroun are no Roache and Rubirosa. Dancy’s accent is horrible. And Halevi just doesn’t seem to have any gravitas.
  11. This was great https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YFxlJ1inle0
  12. If Ethan is using what he learned by watching porn, then he is absolutely horrible at sex. Albie screwed himself over. Only a complete idiot thinks a hooker isn’t trying to pull one over on him.
  13. Finale was better than last year’s but still underwhelming. Was never a Tanya fan but at least she got the upper hand at the end, even if she did die stupidly. I know this isn’t a procedural show, but I hate we don’t know the whole deal with Greg. I wish Albie had died. What a spoiled little shit. Blackmailing your dad for $50k because you fell in love with a hooker. Guess Ethan will turn into his buddy and now fuck other women in order to keep the passion in his marriage going.
  14. I hope it’s Albie. What a little spoiled shit.
  15. I haven’t cared much for Shaw and Maroun. But this episode really made me actively hate them. Maroun especially is just not a good actress. Her reaction is to just open her eyes widely in disbelief whenever she wants to be serious. I’ve been watching old eps with Cutter and Rubirosa and I really miss them.
  16. If his character is supposed to be spineless and unlikable, he’s doing a heckuva good job. I understand this is a drama that is going to have contrived situations, but like maybe try communicating openly with your wife instead of acting either weird or paranoid about everything? And why would he even be jealous since clearly he’s not attracted to her in the first place? If Lucia isn’t doing a long con on Albie, I’ll be shocked. It’s too obvious that’s not really her pimp. I’m keeping my expectations low for the finale based on the S1 finale, and no one really getting the comeuppance they deserved. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the deaths from episode 1 are from food poisoning and not even connected to any of the storylines we are seeing.
  17. I hope we are done with Tanya after this season.
  18. I’ve seen enough movies to know hookers always ask for money up front.
  19. Ugh why don’t couples just communicate? Clearly your wife knows something is up and you weren’t the one actually cheating so just fess up.
  20. I find trying to apply modern expectations of gender to movies that are 40 years old a useless endeavor. People who do that are looking to provoke or create a debate just to be seen as right.
  21. I thought they asked her if she didn’t give consent they could have it excluded
  22. This season, outside of the beautiful location, is a dud for me. The comedy is barely existent and the characters just aren’t as interesting as season 1. Tanya was the weakest link from season 1 and seeing her bring her new age shit into this season is a bore. The couples are painful to watch. Alexandra Daddario and her husband in season 1 hooked me in, but these 4 are all just one note. Michael Imperioli is great as expected but F Murray needs to tone down the cliche horny grandpa schtick while the son and his self righteous woke politics is an eyeroll.
  23. The judge in this case was ridiculous. He gave him way too much leeway to make false accusations and then allowing him to play a sex tape that had no real value beyond showing someone annoyed at being interrupted. The fact that she didn’t even know she was being filmed should have been enough to exclude. And Maroun needs to get a happier ending in one of these episodes eventually.
  24. I know this is a fictional story but the idea that a guy would turn down sex from Aubrey Plaza twice in one episode irks the hell out of me.
  25. Hey it’s Tina from The Bear! The defense objecting during opening statements is a new one. Like she couldn’t say it during her own opening statements?
