Ok I thought this was pretty terrible. I love JK back from his Skoda days but they didn't know what to do with him. Miss Trash: another skit about pathetic women who have no self- awareness. Aidy does her usual sassy schtick. Teacher Snow Day: They're going to keep doing these until they get another Lazy Sunday hit. Conservative white people doing hardcore rap. So refreshing. Casablanca: Kate saved this skit but went a minute too long. WU: As someone who found Seth Meyers completely bland, Jost makes him look like Norm MacDonald. Only highlight was Jebediah.

I tried getting into this show but I just can't. I liked Wilmore on TDS but he just doesn't do it for me as a tv host. I never realized how nasally his voice is. Also it just isn't that funny. The panel discussion has been dome to death and is usually just discussion in an echo chamber. It's just not funny.

Seriously. I respect former cast members more when they go away and let the newer members find their own voice.

They need to find a better studio audience. There were legitimately funny skits last night like the high school play, and there wasn't a peep from the studio. Sometimes I think they're only there to cheer the random celebrity cameo.

They showed the full clip on Talking Dead. Daryl puts the body in the fire and Carol walks out and says "Thank you". So it's someone Carol probably has formed a bond with.

Thank God. I wonder who Daryl is burning then.

So scenes for next week shows Daryl putting a body in a white cloth into a fire. It's gotta be either Carol or Beth. Please let it not be Carol.

That was not a good start. I think the problem for me is that it relied too much on raunchy sex jokes that were just lazy and tired. "Oh look she's saying ass! He's talking about sucking dick!" Additionally while the standup bits work for WU, that doesn't mean they will be good as skit actors. They need more improv players. Michael Che was ok. He needs to work on his enunciation. Jost can go though. They need to shake up the style in general. Every anchor seems like they are doing either their best Tina or Seth impression instead of doing something their own.
