  1. *I know you treat me like a piece of crap, but I want to be your doormat.
  2. SwanQueen is likely a result of the instinct to ship the hero with the villain (the enemies to lovers trope). I hadn't heard of SQ until season 2 or 3, so this time I tried to see if there was anything to suggest that in these early episodes. Regina's deliciously evil looks of glee at thwarting Emma could be misinterpreted as a precursor for sexual attraction. There was also some people harping on Emma wearing one of Regina's shirts, which apparently was a sign that they would eventually sleep together. Maybe her infatuation scrambled Regina's brain into thinking her apples were of the honeycrisp variety? ;-P
  3. I ended up really liking king Richard. I think he had decent redemption arc. I do think the second series focussed more on him than on Galavant himself becasue the writers fell in love with their villain. In recent TV, Root from Person of Interest had the best redemptive arc that I've seen, though Michael from The Good Place is giving her a good run for her money. Root had psychopathic tendencies, but she gradually came to understand the immorality of her actions and genuinely made an effort to change. She was a writer's favorite character too, but IMO, that didn't negatively impact the writing for her. I've often seen Rumple primarily as a psychopath and Regina as a sociopath.
  4. I think it's safe to say it was an effect of the Curse. Time was frozen until Emma decided to stay.
  5. I too loved this. And this was implied to be as a result of Regina taunting Emma about being alone.
  6. This is the episode I fell in love with this show. It is one of the best episodes of the show (maybe The Best?). The moment when Snow puts on the ring and she and Charming fall in love...pure magic. Everything about this episode is fantastic. I love that Emma agreed to Henry's plan of having MM read to John Doe hoping that it would help him face "reality", but MM really did end up waking David. And the whispered "come back to me" and the CPR/kiss at the Troll Bridge was very much like a fairy tale. Regina is so deliciously pleased at finding Kathryn aka the "Nag with the Bad Attitude". Sure coma patient John Doe muttered Kathryn's name in his sleep. What utter BS! lol When Whale lied to MM about not seeing any change in David's vitals and then called Regina, it was yet another indication of how thoroughly the latter had the whole town under her control. Dr. Whale's date with MM was hilarious. The "I'm a teacher; not a nun" joke was probably A&E's inside joke. They had originally planned to kill off David in the Pilot, and make Snow's cursed personality be that of a nun. Emma telling Henry that giving someone false hope was worse than not having a Happy Ending is one of the most memorable lines of this show. Charming's kill count was three, including two black knights and the troll-bug.
  7. This Friday's episodes are Snow Falls and Price of Gold.
  8. And now my heart is spotless because of my amazing act of restraint. Wouldn't it be cool if we combined all the threads in all the forums on this site? Then, we can discuss all TV shows, movies, and real world events in a single thread. To make this Great Forum Merge possible, I will need a piece of all of your hearts. I will be gracious and not insist that you crown me Queen of all the PTV boards for having this genius idea.
  9. Either WHook has two hearts now and has become Dr. Who, or Rumple's heart completely replaced the poisoned heart.
  10. I'm wondering whether each park has its own "Cradle". It would make sense for WW to share a Cradle with Shogun World, as their storylines seem to match, but when Bernard enters it, it seems to house only WW storylines. If Team Dolores only took out the WW Cradle, Delos still has at least five other parks intact/recoverable. Why aren't there security teams in the other parks doing damage control?
  11. This is a good reminder that Robin handing over baby Robyn to freaking Hades and Zelena, in order to stay in the Underworld with Regina, was not the first time he risked the life and safety of his child for the sake of a villain.
  12. Bernard is not in the cradle. Cradle scenes are shown in a different aspect ratio than "real world" scenes. It's like wide-screen for cradle scenes vs full-screen for everything else. Besides, he had to be physically there to punch the control screen. It's definitely a false-dichotomy. The whole premise that people are more "authentic" when they think nobody's watching them is fundamentally flawed. Delos is only capturing one aspect of the human psyche under the controlled conditions of the park. It doesn't mean that is who those humans are under all conditions. I'm very suspicious of that too. Maybe Charlotte is lying, and Bernard gave a different answer when it was just Charlotte in the room. Otherwise, the only point was for Charlotte to show off twice. And why is Charlotte, who has limited experience with any host, or even Bernard as a "person", the one questioning him? It should have been someone who was used to debriefing the hosts, like that tech, or even Stubbs. Everything about Charlotte Hale is unrealistic.
  13. Lol. I remember in earlier seasons some were speculating that Robin was the one to have taught Snow how to shoot. But it ended up being Hercules.
  14. Actually he started searching for her once time started moving again, thanks to Emma deciding to stay in Storybrooke in the Pilot.
  15. The revelation of Graham’s rape was when I felt Regina was irredeemable. And in the post-episode official podcast, A&E joked that Regina and Graham could’ve been playing chess in her bedchamber. That should’ve clued me in as to what “justice” to expect.
  16. I almost feel compelled to rewrite each episode as I do the rewatch. But I already have like three WIPs. Maybe that can be a group undertaking by the forum. ;-)
  17. She probably figured it out growing up. Regina kept herself aloof from father and daughter, by her own admission, and kept sneaking off to learn magic from Rumple. That doesn’t scream of affection. Too bad the writers decided to turn that into Leopold having neglected Regina. Why is such a whiny sociopath with a perpetual victim complex such a favorite with the writers and fans?
  18. This is what made Rumple such a compelling character in earlier seasons. He was one of my favorite characters in earlier seasons. Too bad he lost all nuance since S4.
  19. It's hardly a cutting snub, if that was the case. heh
