  1. So I guess Amalia either now has the memories of both Molly and Zephyr or always had them? That’s what I took from the flashes of the past. The only flash she doesn’t get to remember is the Myrtle vision. Of course if she always had the Molly memories then the “This isn’t my face” line doesn’t work because it’s still Molly’s face. I’m thinking the Molly memories are new.
  2. I don’t see a speculation thread, but since it involves this episode I’m going to post my probably not true theory. I think Penance being there may come back to bite her. She manipulates energy. The attack used energy. She was there trying to rescue Maladie. Then she burned her hand when she was shocked by what will be evidence. Mundi knows it wasn’t her, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets overruled by more powerful men. Massen seems to really not like that she has her turn. I wouldn’t be dumb enough to mess with Amalia’s BFF though, but I can’t say the same for a group of men that probably believe they’re invisible.
  3. I think Frank already knew about the toeless girl. When True was walking around looking at his research up on the walls of his office, there was a section of Maladie’s accomplices. I remember seeing Bonfire Annie and the other hypno guy. I’d have to go back to see if the toeless woman was on there, but there were definitely other people.
  4. I like that Penance knows everything about Amalia, so her knowing doesn’t surprise me. The show has definitely shown that they don’t have any secrets, or keep any from each other for long. I appreciate that about their friendship. Plus the loyalty, they may disagree but that’s not coming between them. The rest of the orphanage knowing is what I found awkward. I would be okay if they didn’t end the last episode asking who was sending the message then immediately cutting to everyone knowing the next episode. Explaining “the who” to everyone would’ve been an interesting scene and helped with the weird jump.
  5. I assume she’s okay with it because she seems like the type to stand up for herself if she didn’t want it. Also Joss wanted her specifically after seeing The Ferryman in London, so she probably could’ve had the power to veto nude scenes if she really wanted to. While I think Laura is fine with it, I do always wonder if actresses are okay with the nudity and sex scenes or extremely unhappy with them like Emilia Clark was. Also many actresses have admitted they only did nudity early in their career because they thought they had to for employment. That’s always in the back of my mind. Btw at least one of the topless scenes in outlander was prosthetics. In an interview, Donnelly laughed about the “milk” shooting everywhere including on Caitriona (sp?) during that scene. Separately, I hope the new show runner is outstanding because there’s a great show with longevity buried somewhere in this currently uneven show. Because, I really do like the characters and people playing them. I also hope she never allows an episode this one that randomly starts talking about things they’ve never mentioned before. Even the most guilty pleasure trash shows do time jumps better than this episode.
  6. How does no one involved in this show realize it’s strange the characters are talking about a word/name we’ve never heard. Or even how Amalia and the doctor are suddenly hooking up after he was clearly trying to avoid that again. Did I miss a time jump title card at the beginning of the episode? Was this the plan or a consequence of Whedon quitting? I’ll take being labeled a prude, but it seems like the show would benefit from keeping the nudity to the sex club.
  7. You’re definitely right. Although apart from Faith and Fiona, all the women are single because their husbands died in accidents. They probably were married as teens. The redhead, whose character’s name I never remember, actually has/had a daughter that has since disappeared. I remember because an episode was dedicated to finding her. They really do treat the audience like we’re idiots. I doubt it’d be cool for the single school teacher to be hanging out with a man behind closed doors in a saloon. Also we know it’s wartime. If you don’t want to film the war, then speed through it with time jumps like Downton Abbey did. You don’t even have to do foxhole action scenes. Cliffhanger can be going to war and they can do a time jump over the summer break. At least it’d be something different because a lot of the romance is running on fumes due to every relationship/courtship being drug out forever.
  8. It’s possible that I missed a year (memory-wise) because it’s dragging so long. Working through marriage issues would be more interesting than a triangle.
  9. Do we really need two seasons of who will she pick? Also Nathan when a woman turns you down that doesn’t mean ignore her wishes and decide to double down on your attempts to get her. I didn’t like that scene at the end.
  10. Piers was also gross this morning commenting on a female host’s(? Not sure her job) dress. He kept on about it being a miniskirt even after she said it was a dress. He told her to stand up and show everyone. You could tell she was not happy about it. I would’ve fired him for that too. It was sexual harassment or at least extremely inappropriate behavior right on camera
  11. It’s on dailymotion, but the ads can be ridiculous. Sometimes there’s no ads at all, and sometimes there’s a ton. It’s not HD but I don’t know if it was back then.
  12. I didn’t like the alternative ending for either Roscoe or Jill. I would’ve liked to know more about Ash though, but there’s no guarantee we would’ve had that with extra episodes. I had a hunch about the Valerie information based on a couple of Keeley’s lines in that last episode. My hunch was then confirmed in a different Davies interview.
  13. In case you’re curious, here’s an article about what would’ve happened if Davies had been given the originally asked for eight episodes. It would’ve been the end for six episodes too. Probably shouldn’t read until after finishing the show. https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/a35613755/its-a-sin-russell-t-davies-surprise-twists-missing-episode/
  14. I dream of the day when politicians answer yes or no questions with a simple yes or no. If it’s clearly a question that only requires yes or no, just answer it that way. Who cares if we don’t like your answer. I know they’re trained that way but it drives me crazy. If they want to expand on it more then they can even “Yes, but” or “No, but” then do their ridiculous whataboutisms. Is that too much to ask? It’s a pipe dream, but still I can dream.
  15. I saw Bugsy had on white gloves during service, and I think Hannah was right last year. They are not a good look. They looked like Mickey Mouse gloves.
  16. After reading somewhere, probably a former BD cast member’s link, I’m wondering how much Sandy actually captains. The first mate on the Below Deck Med shows is often the owner’s captain. It would explain why she’s always in the galley and pestering guests. I’d also bet the “first mate” is off screen when she actually does drive the boat. If her reputation is so great, wouldn’t the owners trust her to be the only captain.
  17. I think some people assumed she was lying when she told Sandy she hadn’t taken any of the Valiums. I know I thought she had because editing sure made it seem that way. Looking back her knocking back pills was always out of a pill bottle which would be the Advil. I don’t think they ever showed her actually taking a Valium. They totally would have too. She doubled down in an interview that she didn’t take it. According to Hannah, they couldn’t find it during the anxiety attack, so she just took her Advil.
  18. Hannah said on Twitter she told Sandy, but it wasn’t shown. I’m curious if they’ll show it in the extra footage Monday. I believe her because she said the same thing about Lara putting hands on her. Sandy lied and said if she’d known she would have fired Lara. Then the extra footage showed Hannah telling Sandy about the touching.
  19. It definitely has to depend on state because I’m a public school teacher, and I’ve never heard of this. There’s nothing in our handbook about reporting prescribed medications like blood pressure. It only talks about being an abuser of any drugs or alcohol and intoxicated behavior that carries over into work. We are not required to store our medicines in the office like the kids.
  20. Yeah I don’t believe Sandy’s comment because she was already busted lying. Sandy said she would’ve fired Lara if Hannah told her about Lara putting her hands on her. Then they showed Hannah telling Sandy in the extra footage. They’ve shown most of the crew washing dishes except for her. In that episode where they were all helping out (including deck crew), I just remember her standing there hovering. My memory could be bad, so if anyone remembers her helping feel free to mention it. I like Hannah, but she messed up with the menu suggestions. Fried chicken, nachos, and shrimp cocktail were all on their sheets, but she shouldn’t have suggested all of them. She probably thought if he did what they asked for they’d be happy, but that’s not how it turned out. I doubt she was expecting those nachos. If you’re going to do nachos because it’s on their sheets keep it to lunch, then they need to be loaded including a protein. I’ve had some really good loaded Italian nachos with chicken, veggies, pasta chips, and an Alfredo cheese sauce. I’ve also had Italian nachos with pepperoni too.
  21. Thanks for the link. I didn’t know about the codes. It will help A lot. I hate recommendations too and usually ignore them. The things I do like about the Netflix search is the predictive text, so I don’t have to use the remote to type in the entire thing. I also like that they actually give you what you’re looking for first, and I can ignore the recommendations that come after. Amazon search stinks because they have random shows mixed in when you just want to see a specific actor or show. I’ve tried putting quotes around things but it will still have random stuff listed along.
  22. Hulu is the only app that freezes my tv, and sometimes the app won’t even load. My tv isn’t new but none of the other apps regularly freeze the tv. Also I hate how Hulu’s search works. I wish all the apps would copy how Netflix’s search works. Netflix will give you everything by the actor or series first and then there will be the recommendations.
  23. I’m pro-Lucas too. I just randomly decided to see what people were saying on Facebook. I never read show comments, but I decided to see what they were saying. Anyway, I was shocked when they were pro-Nathan.
