  1. In that case, many, many people have adapted "you're" to "your" and "should've" to "should of." And that ain't right ;)
  2. Oh, no! I may have to change back b/c Mindy scares me.
  3. Even though the creator of the file format says that's how it's pronounced? (I only ask because I started out pronouncing it the other way, then looked it up yonks ago, found out what the creator said, and changed to "jif." Now everyone thinks that's wrong.)
  4. Chelsea's segment -- A crummy commercial? Sunovabitch.
  5. Let me help 'em out: Kail said, "Let's go upstairs, " to Javi immediately after Javi said, "Kail is always right."
  6. I mean, if Kail said that, then I finally understand Bri's tweet. It's like Kail thinks the DeJesuses aren't good enough to be around her kids, but it's OK for her kids to be around domestic violence (when Kail is being hit by BD#3)? I think I get it. Too bad Briana is incapable of explaining herself. Does she dissociate? Her demeanor after the banshee* entrance and during her sit-down with Dr. Drew didn't strike me as stupid/fake, like some posters said. She really seemed super sensitive, shutdown, and dissociative. *thanks, previous poster
  7. Well, Kail, you'd know manipulation, wouldn't you, having engaged in it so much yourself.
  8. What jumped out at me from this episode was, one, Kim saying Kourtney had been rude and bitchy to her her whole life. I can totally see holding resentment for years over something like that and then blasting back at a stressful time and an opportune moment. Doesn't justify it, but I get it. Two, I couldn't believe Kim and Kourt gossiping about their fight with their make-up artists. I mean, yeah, it's gonna end up on TV and also maybe they're friends with their hair/make-up people, but that really struck me as WTF.
  9. I wonder if Kail caused those emotional issues. I've been Team Javi ever since She-Hulk shook his head damn near off. Broke my heart to see him go on to have a child with her and marry her. And I've felt guilty for still being Team Javi after the fandom now loathes him for his fame-seeking ways -- and I personally still cringe at the Briana TMI tweet :-& But you know what? It was utterly shitty of Kail to tell him she no longer wanted children (and quasi-blamed their divorce on that difference) and then go on to have a child by another man! I guess that's why I'll always have a soft spot for Javi. He was treated so poorly by Kail. Even when Roxanne was reading him the Riot Act, he was respectful and calm. I don't think I've ever seen him be rude or mean. I wish he would get therapy.
  10. I wish Briana hadn't come onstage like a wronged baby mama on Springer (she gave Kail what she wanted), but damn...look at what a snake Kail is. "Oh, I want to talk and clear the air." She lied and manipulated Bri into that one-on-one "convo" where Kail starts with "why do you think you can blahblahblah?" They should've had a mediator because Kail sucks at talking things out...or things ended up escalated, just the way she wanted. Bone is an asshole. Calling Javi "F-A-K-E, Fake." You ever heard of an internal monologue? Basic civility? This is the first time since the moms turned 20 that I felt the show was aptly named. Twitter fights and threats of physical fights -- they put the teen in "Teen Mom 2."
  11. The car was not that far away. I took that to mean we were supposed to believe she did decide she shouldn't continue with Jennifer, not that running was too hard. But they could've made it much clearer.
  12. Barb outright said that Jace shoots them in the face with that gun or one like it! (BTW, Barb's phrasing has been cracking me up: "homophobic sentences" and "the guy was giving her road rage.")
  13. Chelsea handles her business...except for when Cole's taking a poo and Grandma Donna's at the door LOL
  14. One of the best takeaways for me personally from body acceptance was the concept of Health At Every Size (HAES). I'm surprised the show hasn't covered it. One who is fat can still improve her fitness and condition herself even if it doesn't result in weight loss. This was so freeing for me. As was the encouragement to focus on recreational exercise (for example, the fun of recess as a kid versus the "torture" of gym class) and eating what my body craves (because that's what it needs). Allowing myself to eat whatever I want took away the deprivation feeling of calorie-counting and also made previously forbidden foods less enticing because I could have them whenever I wanted. On topic: despite its flaws, I'm so happy to see this show in the mainsteam, and I love Joy Nash.
  15. No, real world people. It's unclear from the show what specifically the Calliope people believe about fat acceptance. Although being aware/involved myself for around 11 years, I see some indicators of what they probably believe.
  16. I'm putting this in spoiler tags for those who wish to skip over Cole body language discussion.
  17. My point was that we were shown Plum entering his cafe several times, and never once did she wheeze. So that makes me wonder is Steven so prejudiced against fat people that he's seeing things that aren't there? Because we certainly were never shown Plum out of breath. Fat acceptance advocates, though, don't believe weight is a health issue. And that belief is based on evidence, not fantasy. So maybe that's why Plum took umbrage with Steven? His statements felt like a huge betrayal to me, particularly at the exact moment when Plum felt very confident in her own body. Did they tell you that diets don't work for ~95 percent of those who do them? And that for most people, post-dieting, they gain back what they lost *plus* more. If Plum learned this at Calliope, I see why she felt stabbed in the back by Steven's "concern."
  18. Not really. I want Chelsea to have the happy ending she cried to Randy about all those years ago. But I was taken aback by Cole's body language both times he replied "I love you." I found it interesting. Of course it may mean nothing, but at least I got a hearty laugh out of SnarkEnthusiast's reply =)
  19. I hope you're right. Because the second time was his forehead and nose. But the first time was his beard.
  20. I never noticed Plum wheezing during the numerous scenes she entered the cafe. In any case, in the world of fat politics, it is considered bigoted to bring up a person's health. Most fat acceptance advocates believe that a person's health is her own business. Not to mention that health is the cudgel by which fat people are beaten. No one wants to be seen as shallow in just disliking the look of fat people, but they feel entitled to and morally superior in commenting on fat people's health. I 100 percent get why Plum is upset with Steven. Would Steven tell a promiscuous friend s/he is playing a dangerous game with his/her sexual and emotional health? Would he tell a boozy friend s/he drinks too much? I doubt it. But friends and strangers feel free to comment on fat people's health. To a "rad fattie" doing that is a politically charged act. And that doesn't even get into the evidence that fat isn't in itself unhealthy, something I imagine Plum learned at Calliope. Basically, this show could actually be much more radical LOL
  21. Guys, I'm a bit worried. The two times Chelsea said "I love you" to Cole, when he replied "I love you" he touched his face. That can be a sign of deception. He did it both times :/
  22. I personally believe David wasn't upset that Jenelle followed the road rage guy because it's an unsafe thing to do. I think, like most controlling abusers, he was (irrationally) afraid somehow she would have sex with him. Yep, I think he's that bonkers. It would be interesting to know what his reaction would've been had the driver been a woman.
  23. Some people who are virgins before a sexual assault are still considered/still consider themselves virgins after. Because it was rape, not sex. This thought crossed my mind when Plum said that, but I think if the show meant that, it would have been elaborated on in at least an additional sentence. It's Second Wave feminist movement rather than the Third Wave that is popular now (sex-positive, pro-sex worker rights, etc.), but there are still a lot of Second Wavers active. However, they seem to be very hated.
  24. I actually think Amy always got the shortest end of the stick. I think she's very noble for taking care of David, but gotdamn, even in the timeline when he was self-sufficient (billionaire), he tortured her rather than mirroring or reciprocating their relationship in the other timelines. Funny that the "happiest" one is the most mundane (married/kids/suburbs) yet in that one Amy is nowhere to be found. Same with one of the more depressing ones, the meth/diner/fry branches. This ep made the previous one even more painful in that we see in so many iterations, Amy still sacrifices to care for her brother.
  25. The belief that the poor deserve to suffer and enjoy nothing is as hateful and ignorant as the cashier's comments and Roseanne's take on the new neighbors.
