  1. Thanks for the info, loveoutloud! I did not know that. At least she's still making great songs.
  2. Why does she never show her face? I don't get it, tbh. I actually like her songs but not showing her face is really odd to me. Is that just her thing or is it for another reason?
  3. I thought this was odd too considering there were other contestants that were lacking in their performances as well and nothing was said. I'm not sure why they did that. To fair though, the comments weren't bad. But on a show where everything is "great" or "amazing" a little comment like "loosen up" can stick out like sore thumb. I like Brooke and I thought she did ok. But I just didn't like the song choice for her. I do hope she can still make the Top 12.
  4. With Team Pharrell, I thought going into the lives that Sawyer and Mia were locks to be the public's vote. But Koryn did so well that I wouldn't be surprised if she knocks Mia out of the top 2 spot and Pharrell will have to use the save on her. Either way, I think this will be Pharrell's for sure top 3 going into next week. Hoping he doesn't make another bizarre save like he did last season. Caitlin and Lowell did fine too, but they were not standouts. Caitlin has a great voice, but she really lacks stage presence. Lowell did what he could with that song, but it was not the right song for him at all. As for Team Blake, I think Corey was the only one that got a great song. But I agreed with Adam that he could've done a bit more with it. Everyone else on Blake's team were victims of weird song choices. Didn't like Freebird from Sarah or I Feel The Earth Move from Hannah. And Love Runs Out for Meghan? Considering the type of artist she wants to be, I just thought that song choice came out of left field. She sounded good on it though. And Brooke? I just don't know what to say. What an unfortunate song choice. I still think she has a lot of potential. She did okay with the song, but it was not her best by a long shot. I don't know what Blake was thinking giving her that song. Of this bunch, I think Meghan and Corey will be the public's vote and Blake will save either Hannah or Brooke.
  5. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Team Adam. Sure, put up against the other coaches, his team as a whole is the weakest. But it only takes one to win, and I can easily see Joshua taking it. Especially if he keeps the facial hair...Hee! His song sold the most on iTunes last night, although at this stage that doesn't really mean much. It mostly depends on how Adam coaches him from here on out. I agree with others about Kelsie May. If she had done a better job, Blake probably would've picked her over Brooke if for no other reason than her being a country singer. But she blew it big time. Brooke totally outsang her. I think Brooke can be a darkhorse in this competition if Blake coaches her right. She has a lot of potential. She also appears to be pretty popular based on Youtube. Her blind audition has over 2.5 million views right behind Sawyer, which really surprised me. Now that the live shows are about to start, it's a whole new ballgame. I don't want to call a winner yet because early frontrunners can fizzle out or crash and burn and someone who was overlooked can come out of nowhere and start blowing everyone away.
  6. I heard he left for medical reasons. He was feeling ill and had to go to the hospital.
  7. I must say, having seen very little of this season, I'm confused as to why most think that the guys will for sure pick Britt over Kaitlyn. Main reason seems to be because Britt is more attractive. Personally, I think Kaitlyn is prettier and she seems more down to earth, whereas Britt comes across as high maintenance. Who's to say the guys won't think the same?
  8. Those Chick Fil A commercials with the cows. They were funny at first, but then they quickly started to bug. Every time they went "Eat More Chikin" I would always say to myself, "What did the chickens ever do to you!"
  9. So calling Carolyn as the weakest instead of Shirin came out of nowhere to me, as I saw no evidence that suggested that she wasn't pulling her weight around camp/challenge or that she doesn't "step up to the plate" as So said. If there was, the editors left it all on the cutting room floor or I missed it. It seemed to me that So was more threatened by Carolyn rather than her supposedly being the weakest link. Why So felt threatened I have no idea. Carolyn was clearly on to So right from the get go and Carolyn doesn't come off like the follower type that So is so used to bossing around and driving to tears. Maybe So noticed all of this and decided she rather try to get her out and use the "she's the oldest/weakest" excuse as a reason?
  10. I noticed that too. I think they put her No Collar because she's still just a student, and also because she wants to be a lawyer to create her own rules and not just go with the system, or something like that. But yeah, definitely some stretching had to be done to fit her in the No Collar tribe. Also, that Rodney guy pulling a Jonny Fairplay with using his dead sister to gain an alliance? I guess it was smart, but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
  11. Jeff was hyping this up to be one of the best premieres ever, and while I enjoyed this episode as a whole, I wouldn't call it the best premiere ever. Jenn had me cracking up when she was going on about Vince. She seems to have a good sense of humor. I like her already. I also like Joe. He seems like an easy-going, fun-loving guy. Dan reminds me of Rupert. He's really loud and boisterous. He might start to get on my nerves down the road, but for now he's okay. That blond barrel racing girl is super tall. I laughed when she questioned Dan and Mike's story about the beans. I know they were telling the truth. But if I was in her shoes, I would've thought something was fishy too. That "big" bag of beans was really small. The Blue Collar and No Collar tribes seem to have much more interesting personalities. I get the feeling that the White Collar tribe will continue to lose challenges.
  12. I love watching grand romantic gestures on TV, especially if it involves declaring their love in front of a large crowd of people. It's funny to me how even though I love that TV trope, I would be embarrassed if that happened to me in real life. By all means, profess your love to me, get down on one knee and propose, but please refrain from doing it in public.
  13. First episode back from the break and already another character dies. Overall, I liked Tyreese, and I thought this was a good sendoff episode for him. I understand emotional impact and all, but another death was too soon for me.
  14. I really don't like how this movie is being turned into some right wing vs left wing debate. Maybe some people liked/disliked the movie for reasons that have nothing to do with politics.
  15. What about Sandra Bullock's All About Steve? Did that come out before or after The Blind Side? I'm only mentioning it because I thought it was funny that she won a Razzie and an Oscar the same week.
  16. I got one. I don't care for Thor and Jane. I just don't feel them at all.
  17. Yes. I think there's a good chance Sadie can win. I really wouldn't be surprised that much if she does. She has a huge fanbase thanks to Duck Dynasty and I'm sure her Christian values probably locked up a good amount of support from Christian voters as well as the South in general too. Plus, she probably relates to the average viewer with her being so young and having no dancing experience prior to the show. With all that said, I still think Alfonso will win - at least I hope so!
  18. Me too! Alfonso is the main reason why I watched this season, and I'd be elated if he won. But I'm also cheering just as hard for Witney, and I'd be so happy if she gets her first win. I think she really held her own against all those seasoned pros and choreographed some magnificent routines for her and Alfonso. She's been a delight this season. Her partnership with Alfonso is so genuine and adorable to watch. Plus, she'd be the first SYTYCD alum to win the show (not including Strictly Come Dancing). I'd love to see her win. I think she'll be just as emotional as Alfonso if they were to win, maybe even more so.
  19. I felt since Week 1 that Alfonso and Sadie were going to be the top 2, and tonight sealed it for me. They were the top 2 in votes this week and they had the most memorable freestyles tonight. I'll be really shocked if Janel somehow squeezes into the Top 2. Injury aside, that freestyle was a bit "been there done that," nothing really fascinating. Say what you want about Sadie's freestyle, but it was cute and will get people talking. Alfonso's freestyle was just everything - what a freestyle should be. I enjoyed it very much. I hope he takes home the MBT.
  20. This makes a lot of sense. Though, I am really giving that female cop the stink eye now if she's on Rapey Cops side. Anyway, I do get the feeling that Dawn is conflicted. I wonder why the other cops are even listening to her to begin with if she is such a weak leader. If the other cops are planning a coup, I can see the negotiating being the tipping point that'll finally make them take control away from Dawn. That doctor told Beth not to trust her, though. Maybe she is setting her up. But for what, I have no idea. Yes. I agree with this. After everything that she did to try to escape, I found it really odd that they're letting her walk freely around the hospital.
  21. So, I'm confused about Dawn now. Are we supposed to hate her or what? I mean, she helped Beth for no reason other than that she showed her that she was strong? I don't get it. I thought their whole thing was capturing the weak. Most of Slabtown was of her slapping Beth and belittling her. So, why is Beth suddenly earning her respect? That just seemed to come out of nowhere. And those two cops were talking about Dawn as if she's so horrible. But Officer Bob was telling Rick that underneath it all, she's a good person. But seeing as how he knocked Sasha out at the end of the episode, maybe he was just trying to set them up? I just having trouble understanding what the deal is with Dawn.
  22. I liked the episode. Kept me engaged the entire time. It wasn't action-packed, but I liked how there was still a lot of suspense throughout with some good character development as well. I thought this episode spent a great deal of time showing how much Daryl and Carol have changed since they last saw each other at the prison, which added a different layer to their friendship. I don't know what that means, exactly. I thought burning those zombies would give Carol the closure that she needed, but it seems she still has some more demons that she's struggling with. Anyway, I'm looking forward to next episode. And I hope everyone makes it out alive (except for the bad guys, of course).
  23. I'm cheering for Alfonso to win it all! Also, I'm not ashamed to say it, I'm happy Tommy made the semi-finals.
  24. I get annoyed when this happens. I like both Carol and Beth. I don't like all this Beth vs Carol stuff. They were never in a competition against each other. If it's just because of Daryl, well then I think that's just sad.

    S05.E04: Slabtown

Ah, okay. I had a feeling that's what you were talking about. And fair enough on the Noah made the plan comment. Even if Beth didn't come up with the plan, my point was that she did plan on getting out. But I understand what you're saying.
