I read that several TLC crew members were filming Josh at the 5k, so it appears we will have the opportunity to be blessed with more details and visuals on an upcoming episode.

I think it's totally out of line for Boob and Clown Car to appoint a little child to be a chaperone and have the responsibility of watching the couple and reporting back any improprieties. It's bad enough when they have the older kids do it. Little ones shouldn't be involved in helping manage a courtship, and the courting couple should be respected more and not be placed in the humiliating spot of being babysat by a young child. Boob and Michelle are jerks, plain and simple.

WTH? I had thought maybe she finally escaped the raising of her siblings. I am disappointed she is putting off school yet doing this. On the other hand, Jill might not be able to hack being alone so much, considering how she was raised. She might feel the need to be around her siblings a lot, and take care of them out of expectation from Boob and Mullet, or out of guilt because she knows if she doesn't help out, those jokers won't step up.

I agree. Jill said "Looks like we left the outer banks in NC just in time! Praying for those affected by the hurricane". If I had just honeymooned on a beach and less than a week later there was a major storm, I might have said something similar. I wouldn't mean that the second we left town the storm struck.

Eh, as much as I like to snark on the Duggars I am not convinced that J&D and J&A honeymooning on beaches were rebellious acts. I think if they were that afraid of what Gothard thought, they would not have gone to a beach at all. I live on the west coast. There are lots of vacation rental agencies that offer houses for rent. A lot people list them in the paper and on places like Craigslist, too. We stayed at a really cool house on the Oregon coast not long ago. It was on a bluff overlooking the ocean and the view was amazing! Renting a beach house can be much nicer than staying at a hotel.

I think it's a stretch to keep insisting Jill "lied", especially when someone else here posted that they were there the same week and it was the truth. And if married couples going to the beach was that big of a deal to Boob and Clown Car, then I tend to doubt Jill and Derick (and Josh and Anna) would have honeymooned at a beach. Anna is a young woman, too. Does she not belong to the same church as Josh and the rest of the Duggars? I tend to doubt either Anna or Jill was running around the beach in a bikini defrauding men, so I am not clear what the difference is. I'm curious, after a couple is married, like Jill & Derick, could Jill wear things like shorts or camisoles at home if it was just her and Derick, or is that still a no-no?

I'm not convinced that Jessa is any better of a catch than Bin.

Have JB and Mullet stated that the Duggar girls are not allowed to wear their hair up? I have seen some of the older Duggar girls wearing their hair pulled back/up a time or two. How much longer does Jill have before she completes her midwifery training and gets her license? I wonder how much she'll work. She seems to love it.

I don't understand why Jessa goes by @JessaSeewald on Twitter. Does this mean they are "secretly" engaged? She can't hug him or hold hands but she can use his last name? Weird. I know Jill started going by @JillDillard on Twitter after she got engaged to Derrick. She changed her last name the same day she got engaged from what I have read. I am not sure how long Jessa has been using that handle, but if Boob and Mullet have not officially approved of an engagement, I am surprised they would allow her to start using his last name already.

I was very disappointed when I read that Jill and Derick are setting up house in one of JimBob's houses. I imagine that will help them financially but it would be nice if they weren't in the situation where Boob and Mullet are their landlords. How close is that house to the Duggar homestead? Is it on the same acreage?

I missed the episode but I did see pictures. Jen looked great in the dress and looked genuinely touched and surprised. One thing I noticed is that wearing the dress and heels, Jen looked formal and Bill looked super casual as always. He was wearing what appeared to be his usual -- long shorts and an untucked shirt. It would have been nice if he would have dressed up a little for the occasion to be more on the level of the designer dress he had made for Jen.

I wondered if that was what it was supposed to be, but it looked so runny...and white. Maybe the recipe Anna uses calls for more soup than green beans! LOL. All I know is that I make green bean casserole sometimes and it looks nothing like that.

What was that slop that Anna made gallons of at the fake Thanksgiving dinner? There appeared to be several pans of it and it looked really disgusting.

That part was so fake! Boob asked Derrick how he was going to support Jill, and Derrick said he had a job offer he was considering. Boob asked no questions about the job offer at all. Just the mention of a job offer was supposedly enough for Boob to be convinced Derrick could support Jill? We are supposed to believe that Boob would allow one of his daughters to get engaged to someone with no income and only an undefined and unaccepted job offer?

If we are taking opinions on this, the fewer the threads, the better in my opinion. Then again, I am a transplant from TWOP and one thread per show seemed to work fine and be efficient (in my opinion). I was reading on one board that used multiple threads, and there was always lots of duplicated stuff in the different threads, etc. and it was kind of timeconsuming to sort through numerous threads to read everyone's updates.

Somebody over at TWOP posted that they left the church 10 years ago. I thought (not sure why) they had recently left their church. It took a decade for them to decide they were supposedly no longer accepted in their community and want to move, or because of the show (and show income), now it's possible? And they seem to not be concerned that they will be accepted wherever they decide to move, even if it's an area where polygamy is uncommon.
