Talula, ugh, that story just breaks my heart. What an abusive snatch of a parent! Poor kid. I really hope that he has someone or more than one other person in his life who will teach him that it is OK to be who you are and to like what you like, and that colors and genitals don't equal gender. Right on!

This is truth. I have had girlfriends where we've “broken up” and gotten back together again or we've said things to each other in the heat of the moment and then the next day, it was all forgotten, because the relationship, in general always has an underlying current of affection and respect there, even when we argue or disagree. Being truthful and often (snarkily) blunt to each other is how we connect and show our affection and respect to each other. I've found that I don’t relate to all of my friends in the same ways and my line in the sand can be different for each person. Lisa has different standards, expectations and feelings for Kyle than for Brandi. Brandi was let in to Lisa’s heart and life, just so far, but she fucked with it and now she’s out. Kyle hurt Lisa, too, and they were on the outs, but Lisa’s affections for Kyle run deeper and it appears that her “do not cross” line for Kyle is at a different place than it is for Brandi. That’s not hypocritical or unfair. That’s life and that’s relationships. She can keep trying to fuck with their friendship (Lisa and Kyle’s) but she'll keep failing because all she’s doing now is bringing them closer together by giving them a common enemy and reminding them why they like each other more than they ever liked her. She did that with Kyle and Kim, too -- got in-between their relationship and tried to dismantle it, and (un)fortunately for her, theirs is one way, way too deep (and dysfunctional) to be demolished that easily by an interloper. The above also plays into Brandi's "other women" psychodrama whereby she purposefully inserts herself into a relationship (as the other women) between two people, who will at some point reject her, so she can play the victim, or she inserts someone else into her relationship (as the other woman) with another person so she can be rejected, again, being able to play the victim.

LOL Nooooo. The two are nothing alike, to me. MM was quite introspective and intelligent and was a prolific reader and writer (she wrote volumes of journals and even took notes inside her books and cookbooks). She also was quite sentimental. Brandi is none of the above. IMO, besides the overt sexuality, which I don't think is at all similar, either (there was a lot of humor and playfulness in MM's sexuality), Brandi is like the anti-Marilyn.

I think we might be giving Brandi too much credit here. I don't think she even knows why she's done what she's done and for what end. Personally I think she's too impulsive, scattered, and jealous, which just makes her do whatever, whenever, however she can. We know she holds grudges, both real and imagined (which she's continually picking up new ones) and it seems like she can pay attention for only so long to make plans, and then the rest is thrown at the wall, as it comes to her in the moment, to see what sticks. Like, she researches the other HW and their families to get dirt on them but doesn't seem to know what to do with it other than clumsily throw it out there during conversations. When she gets questioned on it, she starts screeching and crying, plays dumb or innocent, goes into deflection mode or makes threats. She doesn't seem to ever have a fully formed plan of attack and an end goal. IMO. Maybe she does but I don't think I've seen her act on it.

Hehe, I can be pretty oblivious, so if anyone were snarking, I'd not notice. I can also be pretty low on fucks to give, so even if I did notice, I'd not care. ; - ) I know what you mean though, about the danger of falling by wearing heels when you've already injured yourself from falling by wearing heels. I thought Kyle and the rest were really reaching, though, for something to pick on Brandi about. Granted, no one really knew Brandi's heinous personality yet, so they had only so many options. But I thought it was immature of Kyle to go there when, like LVP said, why? But be cordial and then go about your own business. Oh! Not the same level of danger, but I'd sometimes rock my wheelchair in my 5 inch heels, when I had to use one several years ago. Which was actually a great opportunity to wear heels since I was sitting all of the time and my feet wouldn't get tired. lol

What I don't get it if Brandi were still so hurt and pissed at Kyle for their first meeting and Game Night, why did she accept Kyle's help in looking for her dog, and with babysitting her boys? Why did she praise Kyle for being there for her during those times and other times, like Tampon-gate, if she didn't like her so much? She's willing to use Kyle when it suits her, either as a support system for her or as a punching bag. Brandi never had to forgive Kyle for Game Night if she didn't want to -- but that doesn't mean she has to be mean to Kyle, either. She could have just left Kyle alone, however we know that leaving people alone is not her M.O. Stalking, pestering, harassing and using people is. I'm like smack dab in the middle of your daughter and Brandi, in age and I've sprained my ankles and wrists and dislocated things too many times to count but have never broken anything, thankfully. But if I had broken my foot and was attending a function where I needed wear cocktail attire, I'm sure I'd have done the same and worn heels, but with a wider more stable heel. What else should she have worn, flats? LOL I dunno what was so wrong about it. But then, I don't really care, cause I do what I want! ; - )

I'm at loss as to what is expected of the other women. It's OK for Brandi and Kim to curse, threaten, touch, spread lies, rumors and secrets about the other women because, what, they're just poor little ill poodles who act out because it's not their fault and it's not fair? But for anyone to react to them in any way other than ignoring them is an offense somehow unforgivable and unjustifiable? I get trying not to engage and walk away when it's not worth your time or energy, or because having to pick your battles or if you are too emotional to be able to withstand the abuse that is going to rain down on you. I'm often saying how I wish LVP, Lisa R and Kyle would disengage with those two for their own sakes because it's mostly not worth it. And when I say not worth it, I mean it's not worth trying to speak to either Kim or Brandi like adults who have the capacity for understanding and reason or a desire for compromise, growth and change. But how can one even walk away when someone is blocking them and holding them back, or they are forced to be in a room with someone or trapped in a car with someone? People have the right to defend themselves and stand up for themselves and sometimes enough is just enough and they need to be the ones to put an end to it. IMO. I try hard not to start fights and I have never thrown the first (real or verbal) punch and I hope I never will, but you better believe that I'm going to be throwing the last one.

Even sophisticated people curse and have limits to what they are willing to put up with in terms of being treated like shit. And Eileen has clearly reached her limit with Brandi! lol It sounds nice to be able to "rise above" all unpleasant things and people but that's not possible all of the time or always reasonable. Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and what's more sophisticated than doing so with witty, pointed words that make a statement rather than using your fist? Also sometimes getting through to someone means having to speak at their level because logic, reason and more "sophisticated" language goes right over their head. When or if you watch the First Look Part 2 of the reunion, you'll see that Eileen doesn't just curse at Brandi, she stands up for herself and her family by not allowing Brandi to get away with her bullshit. I give much more respect to people like Eileen, who lay it all out on the table and stand up for others, than to people like Yolanda who cater to Brandi's childish tantrums in the name of "rising above" while staying silent as others are treated badly. IMO, of course. ; - )

To me, it's only making her look more despicable. She's using other people's tragedies to try and elevate her own pubic image, which is similar to what she has been doing all along with the airing of the other people's private business, except this time, she's trying to sound compassionate and selfless instead of judgmental and truth-tell-y. I mistyped "public" and said "pubic" but I'm leaving it in there. Freudian what? lol

I've wanted to buy one of those toasters for forever. I've been looking for a new hand vacuum and I just found out that Hello Kitty makes one of those, too. I love cutesy shit, what can I say. I just don't have any kids to blame for why I buy so much of it. I'm sure Kyle and Lisa bought that toaster just as much for themselves as for their girls. lol
