The movie was actually good. Gabrielle did a convincing job of being a concerned mother on a mission. And as someone up top mentioned, the girl playing her daughter was an excellent choice.

Jackie is certifiably nutty. Did you see how when her daughter returned from speaking to Evelyn, Jackie went straight to “you took her side.” Uh, she didn’t even get to tell what happened. In her tacky ass jumpsuit that did her body no favors just made HER look stupid. Furthermore what the fuck did Shani O’Neal have on? And that hair, the braids with blond strands was horrid!! Clown outfit. Speaking of, Jennifer and that halter top thing to work out in was ridiculous. By the way, I do not for one second believe that Tim was stalking her. I read some other articles and as usual, she did stuff. Jackie’s daughter needs to go away. Why was it her business to go talk to Evelyn? It was none of Kim’s business where Nene parked. That’s the problem with some people. They put their noses where it doesn’t belong. This sense of entitlement on who gets to use a handicap space is ridiculous. The spaces are not yours, nor yours to guard and protect. If she had a tag or a placard, then she can park there. People have no idea of what someone’s disability is and why they are allowed to park there. And it’s none of their business. Just park your car and go in the damn Walmart. Nosey, entitled bastards. Ok just came back from seeing it. I have so many mixed emotions but your list nails most of my thoughts. I actually found it hard to watch. There were parts where I cringed at the absurdity of it all. Yet, we here about these stories all the time. Woman supports no good man for years or puts man through med school, and boom! He gets his come up and leaves for another woman. I guess at least she was a sista. Yes? This movie brought out so many feelings. Although there are plot holes, such as you mentioned, he did a painstakingly through job of showing the start of the relationship and the struggle. Did she never graduate?

I disagree. I think he cares for Van but thought the whole thing was corny, that he was out of place. There was nothing real about that experience to someone who has to live like Earn does everyday.
