  1. I can't be the only one who Google Map-ped Dylan's address? No? Oh well. (It does not exist.)
  2. I will say as the Brenda/Shannen stories start to dovetail in these final season 4 episodes, the meta-ness of it all makes for some good storytelling and watching.
  3. I hope there is at least one take of the "Can we call her Margaret" scene where Roy Randolph's response is, "You do know that this is why people hate you, yes?"
  4. All semester long all we hear about the TASK FORCE is how prestigious it is, and how great it is for Brandon that he is on it, and how Brandon has used it to beg-off activities that might reflect badly on him. And then when Chancellor Arnold says that the Dept. of Education has reviewed it, the first thing--FIRST THING!-out of Brandon's mouth is, "The are actually taking this seriously?" What a DICK. [pause for Dave to play the DIIIICK drop.] Was Kevin’s near bus-smooshening part of his con? What was his plan if Dylan failed to notice the bus? How committed was he willing to be?
  5. Is this the first time we see the side door/parking lot of the Peach Pit? I think it might be.
  6. Does Angela know that Darlene and Eliot are fSociety? Her inclusion w/the E-Corp caper seems to indicate that she knows E&D are fSociety, but her meeting Cisco and putting two and two together vis-a-vis the AllSafe hack of last year made it seem like she didn't. Point of discussion: Would the opening have worked better if Too Many Cooks did not already exist?
  7. Not a good look, show: Last minute heel-turns and heaping evil behavior after evil behavior on the antagonist just to make your protagonists look like a better choice. Good look, show: Rachel's costuming for this episode. Top half: Black blazer and silk tank like Quinn; bottom half: Jeans and Chuck Taylor's like Rachel. That is how you effectively use costuming to represent a character's journey.
  8. I assume the writer chiefly responsible for "Donna" was writing "David" this episode.
  9. Ben Rappaport is the store-brand John Kransinski.
  10. Two notes on casting: I always thought they did a great job in casting Steve's dad, as they look like father and son. And what a coup for the show to get a pre-Hamilton Lin-Manuel Miranda as undercover FBI dude Jonathan.
  11. Re: Onnnndrea and age. It's about time for my quarterly mention that Carteris is older than Barack Obama. I keep repeating it because it never stops blowing my mind.
  12. All of Lucinda's "teaching" and "wisdom" sounds like the writers had the comic book version of intro to anthropology.
  13. True story: I listened to this one while visiting my in-laws in Minnesota (!!) where they keep the keys to their car in the ignition, when it it is parked in their almost always open garage.
  14. Let's hope Donna remembers all of Kelly's Tough Love Lessons For Drug Users You Love in a couple of years when it is Kelly's drug problem we are tackling.
  15. I know this was established last year, but I am tired of the trope that genius are unstable. Carrie Mathison: genius but unbalanced. Rachel Goldberg: genius but unbalanced. You don't have to make your smart characters unbalanced. Saul Berenson and Quinn King are both acknowledged as smart, genius people and they don't need to be shown as crazy to be interesting.
  16. Odd Squad is great. My daughter is the same age as your kid and started watching at the same time. We BOTH did a happy dance when I saw new eps on Prime last week.
  17. Well, the "C" doesn't help her at all.
  18. The thing of it is, if you look at her card, the "i" looks like she went back and added it. That she had it right, and THEN screwed it up.
  19. God bless Mark F and his thin, thin, voice for trying.
  20. "..that to us, you are a burger." made me laugh outloud in this coffee shop. Well done.
  21. Casting did a good job in finding a sister for Dylan, they look a lot of like, same coloring, and in the pool pics, similar face shape. But, Dylan gets his coloring from Iris, not blond Jack, so, way to misunderstand genetics, casting people.
  22. Faults: Needlessly superior and condescending to my accomplished younger brother. Workaholic. Short.
  23. I love that Graham, and the actor who plays him, is basically store-brand Dominic West. Hell, he's almost the American version of West's "The Hour" character.
  24. Also, I would have given the show HUGE props if they'd had Onnn-drea make a play for her new RA. Like it became a standard thing: Onn-drea likes to bone authority figures, which would fit with her overall personality.
  25. Ugh--episode 16! and we are only at the end of 1st/start of 2nd semester?!?
