1. You know, the very special episodeness of this aside, listening to this about Scott's last days, knowing what's coming, it's legitimately sad. Which surprised me.
2. Oh, Jennifer Runyon, 80s TV's go to blonde. Has anyone checked IMDB to see if she is January Jones' mother?
3. Aww..I'm disappointed to learn that surfer dude was not an uncredited Anthony Kiedis.
4. Also meant to say, it was weird that whenever the actress playing Shannen had to be mean or snide, she would slip into a Nora Dunn imitation.
5. I assumed the "cafeteria" set was supposed to be the Peach Pit. It was more diner (stools, counter) than cafeteria.
6. Ha! Before you even mentioned it, I had determined mine was The Wire.
7. Aww, I was hoping you clip at the end Cindy wearing what looks like the shirt Steve rejects in the opening credits.
8. Arggh. For some reason Hulu does not have S206 or S208.
9. I do like how this presages how Brenda and Dylan's living together next summer turns out to be a disaster.
10. So the episode starts with Brenda admitting to wearing Jim's shirt, but no comment from our hosts about how she spends the middle part of the episode wearing what appears to be Jim's khakis?
11. Are the IMDB descriptions supposed to be search terms, because I typed some of them into IMDB while the game was going on and got no returns. Which makes me wonder, what is the point?
12. ^^I love this screencap^^ From right to left: bikini, bikini, bikini, 40 year-old woman in beachwear.
13. What I've always appreciated about the breakup, was that it showed Dylan was as devastated by it as Brenda. Often the teen couple breaks up and they show the girl being upset, but the guy is fine. I always liked that the show/Perry were not afraid to show Dylan being upset.
14. Fun fact: Carteris is older than Barack Obama.
15. I love that based on the cab, Ohn-drea came to the prom from New York City?
16. I looked up on IMBD and saw that Eckhouse was 6 years younger than I am now filming this season, and he STILL looks older than me.
17. Donna: "Do I need to spell it out for you?" Me: "CAN you?
18. I had a question about The Dome: Why would they agree to find a way to power the amethyst crystals, if the lack of power would bring down the dome? I figure they would all peace out and let the dome run out of power?
19. What a Gametime finale! I was literally (seriously, literally) on the edge of my seat for the tiebreaker, and then I half-leaped and fist-pumped at Heather's win.
20. I thought the use of Pictures of You was devastating, especially as Shayla fades from view. Well done, Mr. Robot.
21. I have to say, I am (was) completely distracted by Lizzie and Jeremy as a couple because the actress looks (and behaves) like she is 17 and he looks like his mid-30s. A weirdly imbalanced pairing.
22. I love how Brandon gives Carla faking her address a pass, likely because she is no threat to his basketball aspirations. You'd think he'd want to keep that moral high ground so as to be closer to the basket.
23. The music piece was pure Riunite commercial soundtrack.
24. Tara's panicked 'nooo!' Re: tiebreaker logistics was everything.
25. What is Jim worried about, that Dylan is going to commit securities fraud? I mean, Jack McKay is not exactly Tony Marchette. (Spoiler.)

Brenda is the most likable and teenage girl-ish throughout this whole episode. She really seems to have actual teenage girl feelings and confusions.

I'm not a crackpot, but enough with a love of old movies signifying depth? interestingness? erudition?
