Greetings all! It's been ages! Apologies if I'm repeating what others have said but my theory after catching up on this thread just now? I think the characters with new suits (like Diggle and Laurel) are from another earth. And I'm guessing they're gonna be traveling along with Oliver to every earth he visits. (I can imagine one of the first things Oliver does is search out that earth's Diggle.) I'm also guessing they're gonna give the LL fans their longed-for GA/BC partnership with Laurel, too. Probably why KC was so excited, haha. I'm still bummed EBR isn't coming back. I think it's a real shame. I hope they can twist her arm to do the finale at least. I think it would disappointing on her part if she refused so fingers crossed! Even though I was mostly content with the way 722 ended (awful future aside), I would like that Olicity reunion. LOL. On the whole though, I can't say anything I've read just now has enticed me to watch S8 (I've never cared about Tommy, and I certainly don't see the point in an alternate earth version etc, and tons of guest stars doesn't excite me either). But I hope those of you who do watch enjoy it! 😊

So I must've watched the cute Olicity and baby Mia scenes from 722 more than I realized because my husband came home with a similar onesie with teddy bear ears for our daughter. MY HEART. 😍😂

I appreciate EBR wanting to move on and not wanting to do tons of episodes but could she not even do one scene in the finale? That’s disappointing tbh. Although I kinda guessed this already because her goodbyes felt so very final. I only hope they’ve filmed the future Olicity reunion already because that was the only thing missing from 722, IMO.

I agree. It doesn't make much sense at all. But I think we all knew this would happen, haha.

I have no explanation for the whole William thing but isn't Mia a Smoak because the Ninth Circle know about Oliver's baby? So it's a protection thing?

Most of the episode was garbage but the last 15 minutes really got to me. 😭 I’m happy to say goodbye to the show now.

Beth has had vastly different reactions to scenes this season than I have. So saying she cried at the last 10 minutes brings out my side eye. But we'll see! Although I'm dreading it, I'm ready to get this finale over with now. I just want it done, haha.

I'm just wondering how they expect to fit all these extra characters in and give a satisfying goodbye/wrap-up to Felicity and Olicity while also wrapping up the flashforward storyline (for this season, at least). SIGH.

Sigh. I hate the flashforwards so much. Felicity dying in the future seems so obvious that I want to hope it's intentionally too obvious and they'll write her off another way but then I remember this is Arrow and I'm like 😔 Also I don't care about Tommy so meh. But if they're really gonna spend all of Oliver's screentime on this (and not with his wife in the 2 episodes we have left), I hope it actually reveals something relevant.

LOL at Tommy with facial hair. Eh. I'm not really a Tommy fan so this does nothing for me. I'm more interested in any Felicity and Olicity scenes seeing as we're running out of time with them. It's kinda annoying that they'll be apart for most of 721 so that just leaves us one episode. Sigh.

So I only saw about 20 or so minutes of this (fussy baby problems!) but the main thing I took from this is why the hell do OTA and Roy get a Mark of Four tattoo with Rene and Dinah when they're clearly not on board with helping Roy? I now understand why Olicity don't tell them about baby Mia because I feel like there's still very much a team divide issue and a lack of trust/loyalty but they really get tattoos with these assholes? Makes no sense at all.

Will I get any Olicity content in the next episode? We're running out of time here! 😩

JH is such a bad actress and scenes like this always highlight it. CRINGE. That said, I'm assuming that Dinah is maybe only saying these things because she's Police Captain and has to because the rest of the SCPD suspect him? But if she genuinely believes he did it? YIKES.

I am baffled by this tbh. He’s charging fans for content most actors just post on their IG for free? Whoever advised him to do this...😬

Ah, I'm gonna go with that guess then. Maybe Oliver and Diggle crossover?

I saw some spec that they might be doing a Supernatural crossover. No idea if accurate though. Does Supernatural air on Thursdays??

I don’t know if that theory is happening but part of me hopes it’s true because there really needs to be a good reason Oliver leaves his wife and baby alone in a cabin in the woods, haha. If he has no choice leaving them, that I’d understand. But if it really is just a case of still trying to save the city or Emiko or Tommy, I will be kinda annoyed. But then there’s part of me which is like I HATE THIS IS EVEN HAPPENING!! Should’ve just ended it nicely in S7 and been done with it. All this for a dumb crossover. 😩

Yay for Diggle's backstory at long last, I guess? Ernie Hudson elevated their scenes but on the whole I don't really care? Sadly, I think they really ruined Diggle for me earlier this season (and in S6) and I'm not completely over it. He's not the character he once was for me. When we first saw Dante in 714 I thought "FINALLY! Someone interesting!" after the whole Diaz mess but yet again they've gotten rid of someone with potential and now we just have Emiko. Bland and boring Emiko because she's Oliver's sister. Groundbreaking! 🙄 I feel kinda sad for Felicity though. I mean, the Archer idea was flawed in the first place and I can't believe someone of her intelligence couldn't foresee the kind of problems and potential to be used for bad BUT girly just wanted to do something good and have a legacy and she had to put an end to it. Also, it's a shame they made Alena a rat. Disappointed but not surprised. I've been expecting it since S5. I needed about 70% more Olicity seeing as there's only a few episodes left of them. Give me my crumbs, Beth! Once again, I'm ignoring the flashforwards because there's no way I'm accepting a world where JJ is a villain. What a goddamn mess.

Hmm. I didn't expect that kind of response from DR, of all people. I know he has to sell S8 but he could've phrased it better because he sounds like he's saying Felicity leaving no longer holds the show back and that's just nonsense, especially when OTA has barely been a part of the show for years now. How bizarre!

Yeah, Oliver's reason for not being with his wife and baby (and son) should be because he has unfinished business saving the city or fixing whatever mess that means Felicity has to be in hiding. I assumed/guessed that S8 would be Oliver doing everything possible so Felicity and little Mia could come home to Star City eventually (but then Crisis happens and well, it doesn't work out). Evil Tommy should not be a priority at this stage. And I'm honestly so sick of these evil characters popping up and they get some lame redemption story. It's boring at this point. 😴 If Tommy is back, let him stay evil and be done with it.

If CD doesn't have another show anymore, it seems obvious Tommy will return, imo, though he's so bland I never understood fandom's obsession with him. That said, he doesn't need to be E2 Tommy. He could be E1 Tommy resurrected. Even the set-up is there from when Malcolm really didn't want Thea put in the lazarus pit - maybe he did it to Tommy and it went wrong? IDK. I think bringing him back for the last 10 episodes is kinda pointless tbh. Some characters should just stay dead.

Same. I'm gonna be really annoyed if they managed to cover up BS's crimes but can't help out Felicity. But I suppose it also won't matter because I'm not watching S8, haha. But seriously, I can't imagine Felicity has to go on the run but can somehow still make Smoak Tech a success (and going by the huge offices in the future, it is). So fingers crossed they figure it out and they just leave for another reason.
