Ramona Singer: The Turtle Time Walk of Shame
chlban replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
ITA. Not a Ramona fan and I have no problem with the Countess calling her out, but a man she has been with for decades who is the father of her only child owes her more. Not to stay in a dead marriage, but you can leave a marriage with dignity and mutual respect and THEN get on with your life. It's not like the douche didn't know she already made a fool of herself on the reunion just days before he makes a public appearance with the skank. Josh may be a douche but Mario has claimed the crown. Could you clarify? I am not being snarky, I really don't understand. We can't slut shame a slut that breaks up a marriage? -

S06.E22: Reunion Part 2

What was amazing to me was that immediately after she acted all offended and stupid and refused to answer the question she turned right around and commented on Kristen's marriage and how it was so bad that they bickered. WTF? Sure Kristen and Josh seeem to be a trainwreck, but that just pointed out again how clueless Ramona is. Ramona, honey, perhaps you should hold the marital advice. Self aware much? Tune in next week when Sonja Morgan gives financial advice to the other housewives. -
RHONJ Ratings Dump: A sign of things to come?
chlban replied to badbolocolo's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
Pretty much this. I also stopped watching mid season last year, not so much because it was families fighting as it was that I just hate both the Guduices and the Gorga's and could barely stand watching them. I was sick to death of Caroline and her boring family couldn't stand Jacqueline and found Kathy boring and Ritchie disgusting. I tried again this year, mostly out of curiousity about how they would handle the criminal charges. Now, I just get furious every week because the entire cast continues to act as if the criminal charges agains the CRIMINALS are some unexpected, tragic life event, like Cancer. BTW did you all know Amber had "The Cancer"? At any rate since I do not equate getting caught lying, cheating and stealing, with being stricken with a horrible disease it continues to infuriate me that the Guduices are being treated, on the show, more as victims than criminals. Add that to the fact that each time I watch I am reminded that I must be a truly horrible person because I know it is wrong to hate children. Yet each time I see Milania, future serial killer, I want to smack her and, most especially, her idiot mother. I figure I won't even make it to mid season this year. As for Miami, I tried. As a loyal BRAVO bitch, who has even made myself endure entire seasons of Married to Medicine and Blood Sweat and Heels, I really, really tried. But I just could not. I still couldn't name the Miami women on threat of death. -
It does look like I will have to return, in spite of Brandi. I really got to like LIsa R.. on Celebrity Apprentice and Harry is so wonderfully nasty and conniving in Mad Men that I develeoped a whole new respect for his talents. I don't know Eileen but hopefully she will be interesting. Thank heaven Carlton is gone. I really wanted to see Kim go, but I suspect they are worried about losing Kyle if that happens. I don't actively hate Kim, as I do Brandi, but she is soooooo boring.

S06.E22: Reunion Part 2
chlban replied to LotusFlower's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
I realized last night that Sonja is not really Grey Gardens crazy she is likely a far more serious brand of crazy. One of my other interests, because I really have other interests than just BRAVO, is True Crime. There is a particular true crime I have read about for years and followed the case. The Murderer sits in Prison but will never go away and is continually trying to get a new trial, trying to bring others, not truly informed about the massive physical eveidence that convicted him 35 years ago, into his cause. At any rate the man is certainly a narcissist and in my opinion (and the opinion of many others who have studied the case) a sociopath. Maybe because I just happened to be reading about that case over the weekend, last night when Sonja came up with that ludicrous homeless girl in Ireland tweeting for her (WTF?) it struck me. Just like the murderer, she lies so automatically that, even when what she is saying makes no sense to anyone with half a brain (which may explain why Ramona appears to believe her shit). Lying becomes so second nature to these people that they literally have to stop and make a concerted effort to tell the truth. They also will never acknowledge how stupid the lies sound, because they are convinced, in their sick little minds, that they can convince anyone of anything and are totally shocked when they discover it didn't work. Looking at what she has done to damage so many people, the fact that everything is about her (LuAnn has a break up and Sonja is only upset she didn't tell her) and her effortless and ridiculous lies, all point to a narcissistic sociopath. Not all sociopaths committ murders or even crimes. I also had to laugh when she said how "loyal" those intern/slaves are. Yeah Sonja, give up your job on National TV and see how long they stick around. -

I got it, but I have never believed that particular rumor to be true. I cannot honestly imagine anyone who has read both books would believe it to be true, but I know many people buy into it. I still think it was a very mean comment, which is no surprise coming from that wretched witch. -
Ramona Singer: The Turtle Time Walk of Shame
chlban replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
So what's kind of funny is I was just coming here to post the same thing, only about Sonja. I have decided, after last night she is not only a narcissist but, quite likely, a sociopath. As for Ramona I think she is pretty much a garden variety cray cray housewife who is really into denial. Sadly I have seen other women like her. They just cannot accept what everyone else sees when it comes to their men. -
S09.E16: Bali Highs and Lows
chlban replied to PhilMarlowe2's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
This. Actually I'm divorced and would never say something this horrible to my ex. I mean it's not like we don't know how sensitive an area that is for any man. It's really horrible. I agree, Shannon's nagging does pale in comparison. I have basically found Lizzie boring, but sensed there was a spoiled princess there. Now we know. I am glad she is calling Tamra out for being a despicable human being, because non matter how bad Lizzie looks in this particular argument, the fact that Tamra is an evil bitch is still a fact. However, now that she is accomplishing that, she can go too. I won't miss her. I wonder how long before the divorce? -
S09.E16: Bali Highs and Lows
chlban replied to PhilMarlowe2's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Yeah, I think it would be even worse from Danielle. it means Lizzie was complaining previously. Plus, we have some really close "couple friends". Share Holidays and are really like family and there is no way on earth I would ever mention to any of those husbands anything about their sex lives. That is really out of line. Danielle is beyond boring and seems to whine the entire time she is on camera. I am glad she isn't a Housewife, but I guess they couldn't really cut her out of the Bali scenes. Too bad, she adds nothing IMO. -

Ouch. Thanks for saving me from re-watching. That is pretty unforgiveable in private, but on National TV? Wow. Just Wow. So She is a bitch. Kinda figured. -

S09.E16: Bali Highs and Lows
chlban replied to PhilMarlowe2's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I would have to respectfully disagree. As much as we (and I am so included in that) bitch about these shows, I notice that most of the new shows are really just more of this only without "Housewives" in the Title. That new one about the Beauty Queens, housewives who attend beauty pageants, Married to Medicine, housewives with Doctors or women married to Doctors, Blood Sweat and Heels, Housewives but younger and single. The one show they tried, which I personally loved, was Housewives of London......err I mean Ladies of London, but the women were ever so much classier-even the most crass of them was several notches above Tamra, and although they fought, they did so with much less screeching and no physical violence and it appears that show bombed. Which makes me think that as much as everyone, me included, bitches, this is a winning formula. Just MO, of course. I am still pissed that Ladies of London didn't catch on. -

Well there was that trip on RHOA to Charleston where they went to a home that had been part of the Underground Railroad and we learned that Porsha, grandaughter of a well respected civil rights activist, thought the Underground Rai;road was an actual train. Maybe after that BRAVO decided history was a bit deep for most of these airheads. I could picture a few of the New York women appreciating history.Heather would probably pretend to appreciate it. Other than those few, nah. not so much. -
S06.E04: A Hairy Situation
chlban replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
This. Dina is my favorite, which isn't exactly a supreme compliment because I hate everyone else. At least she loves animals and I confess I coveted her closet just a little. Can't stand Amber but quite frankly don't see the twins as much better. Even Rosie annoyed me last night. Really this show seems to have the trashiest, dumbest and most overall annoying castmembers of any franchise and, heaven knows, that is saying something. -
Trials and Tribulations of Juicy and Tre...
chlban replied to Stinger97's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
So to respond to the comments from the other thread, and thank you LotusFlower for pointing this thread out ot me, how do we know the judge is not watching? I understand that the sentencing is not supposed to be based on the show, but Judges are human beings. How can they not be influenced by people who have lied about their financial status flaunting their financial status? I mentioned in another thread, I worked with a guy that was charged with Wire Fraud by the US Government. He owned an Escrow Company and actually took funds that were wried by a major US bank to the Escrow company on a a refinance. Instead of using those funds to pay off the existing mortgage, he pocketed them. Not sure how that isn't just old fashioned theft, but I guess that is an example of how things work in the judicial system. At any rate, he insisted that he was innocent, had done nothing etc. right up until he plead guilty. His explanation for the plea was that his attorney had told him that there was just too much evidence and that his lifestyle was a major red flag. He had, quite simply, spent money like it was water during a time (2008-2010) when most people in the Mortgage/Escrow/Real Estate industries had seen their incomes drop dramatically. So, I cannot imagine it is that different with these two cons. They were, and still are, living like they are rich. How does that not have any impact on the sentencing? It seems to me they are deliberately thumbing their noses at the law. I heard the ratings are way down on this franchise. I would suspect, if that is true, it is at least in part because people are so disgusted with these two. -
I have only been in New Jersey once for a business trip and we were so close to NY, well the one night we had there, we wanted to see New York. However, if I lived in Jersey I would be really pissed about this show. The business people we met with, who all worked in Jersey and I know at least one of them lived there because he mentioned it, were all classy, professional well mannered and well spoken. I noticed one guy had a slight Jersey/New York (CA girl here, can't really tell the diff) but it was very, very subtle. No one acted anything like these low class, clueless bufoons. Why is it that all we see on this franchise are a bunch of idiots fortifying every bad Jersey stereotype. They can't seem to fully comprehend English (OK Tamra Barney has trouble with that too, but she is just a moron) and certainly cannot speak it. They all appear to have some kind of "shady" connections and businesses (because everyone in Jersey is in the mob, right?). They are so low class and low rent, no matter how big their McMansions are, it's just embarassing and I am CA born and raised. I know you could argue that the other franchises play on the stereotypes as well such as the previously mentioned "dumb blonde striving to stay young" Tamra from the OC. But I really think that New Jersey plays up the stereotypes like no other franchise. Really BRAVO, shame on you.

Then they should be sued for Malpractice Not that I like the idea of giving those two con artists any additional money making ideas. But the attorney's have a responsibility to their clients and I cannot iimagine there is anyone on the planet that believes the Guduices have helped their cause one bit. Hell is the Gorga's that have "downsized" not that I buy their BS either. I get infuriated when I see he way the Guduices are living. They even had to buy a designer puppy, no shelter pup for those spoiled monsters in training they call children. Sorry, but I still can't get past the make up artist before the party. Other than a department store demo, I have never hired a make up artist in my life. Considered it, years ago for my wedding, but just couldn't justify the expense. Yet, I pay my bills, my taxes and qualified to buy my condo on my actual, legitimate income. Now I don't care if someone else that can afford it chooses to hire one, but Theresa? Bankrupt, broke and supposedly drowning in legal bills? Really? That alone should cost her jail time, IMO.
-
I cannot imagine that their Attorney's are OK with this circus. They are still living in a tacky mini mansion, I think it was the first episode of the season showed Teresa's make up artist at her house getting her ready for a party, then they seemed to have a plentiful Christmas, are driving nice cars, etc. Add to that, no matter what BS they spout in court, they are clearly not takiing responbsibility for their actions, especially Teresa who continues to carry on as if they are being put upon with some terrible unforseen tragedy vs. getting caught for being criminals. Pretty big difference in most people's world. I just cannot imagine that anyone, other than that idiot Teresa, can think this is anything but a huge tactical error. They should be downsizing their lifestyle and at least acting like they are taking responsiblity for their actions and have some remorse. What galls me almost as much is the entire cast acting just as clueless. Yes, Amber overdoes the Cancer, but for fuck's sake, at least she did nothing to deserve the Cancer-no one does.. Cancer is a true tragedy. Getting caught is called Justice. Howver, Amber totally lost me with all that over the top "you are such a great mom" BS. Gag me, please. You know each of the franchises has someone truly awful (I'm looking at you Brandi, Aviva, Tamra, NeNe) but, honest to god, New Jersey cannot seem to come up with one decent, respectable human being, I am one of the small minority that actually kind of liked Dina the first time around, but all the blind Guduice support has lost me with her too. I only made it about 1/2 way through last season of this train wreck, I don't think I will get even that far this year. It is truly awful.

She is a horrible mother. First she is a criminal. An idiot, Lives in Denial. Yeah, great role model. Then she allows those bratty kids, especially that little future serial killer, Milania, act like that on camera? She is at the very least top competition (along with Lynne Curtain formerly of OC whose daughters are now porn stars-but they are older than Tre's girls so the Guduice girls must be given time to catch up) perhaps the worst mother in the Housewife Universe. And that is truly saying somethiing. If I hear one more person on that show talk about what is happening to Joe and Teresa. What "happened" is they got caught. It's not a disease, it's not a death, it's a consequence of their very own choices. No sympathy here. None. I was thinking I would be OK with jail time for Joe and Probation/restitution for Teresa, but after trying to sit through these episodes I now want to see that phony bitch in jail right along with hubby. And just to show how utterly stupid these people are, do they honestly think that Judges don't own TV sets? That they don't research their defendents when the research is so damn simnple? Idiots. I hope the judge is having the same reaction I am. Throw away the key and maybe give those girls a chance at a decent life.

S06.E21: Reunion Part 1
chlban replied to LotusFlower's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
WHAT?? Really? I don't read the blogs but that certainly seems like a logical context since all the RHOA happen to be African American. I can't figure out what else she was saying. If that is, in fact, what she meant, she should be fired. Publicly and immediately. What an evil bitch. -
S06.E21: Reunion Part 1
chlban replied to LotusFlower's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
This. I liked Andy's response about who he slept with. To paraphrase, he said he would discuss it when he was on a reality show with that person. Bingo. Bitch signed up for a reality show and she has been all to happy to gossip about everyone elses marriages, husbands, etc. Ramona is another example of the type of woman I hate, just like Theresa but without the criminal tendencies. Mario cheated. Own it. You can put on your big girl pants and say, "yeah, he devastated me, but I still love him and we have 20 plus years invested and we have a child we both love and we are going to try to make it work." You would at least get kudos for honestly and many women would understand your feelings. But no, these women have to live in a state of denial. You are on fricken reality TV ladies. You can run but you cannot hide. We know the truth. As for Sonja, I have reached maximum disgust with her. The Judge works for you? The lawyers? Would those be the ones you hire or the ones suing you, or both? Maybe the Gray Garden comparison doesn't work because I am pretty sure Edie was in better touch with reality than Sonja. She is pathetic. Pathetic is not entertaining. Sonja needs to go. Avivia is just a nasty, vile person. Nothing redeeming there at all. I am sure this is her swan song, bye girl, you will not be missed. The Countess is awesome. My official favorite housewife across all the franchises. She is owning the reunion so far. I hope she gives Ramona the smack down she so richly deserves. -
I had pretty much the same expectation, that I would not like Lisa Rinna on Celebrity Apprentice and then ended up liking her a lot. I think she is a great addition. And you are definitely not the only one that remembers Harry from LA Law. However, I have been so totally impressed by his performance on Mad Men it has overshadowed LA Law for me. He plays a really awful man on Mad Men, but he does so superbly.
-
Interesting concept. Additionally I hate Kristen almost as much as I hate Megan and they are both, IMO, horrible actresses. However, I think we can all agree, emotionally distant he may be, but Don Draper is sooooooo much better eye candy than ugly Josh.

I seem to recall the apartment came courtesy of the Bouvier side of the family, specifically Jackie left Anthony one of President Kennedy's rocking chairs that paid for the apartment. Jackie died in 1994 so I am sure Real Estate prices were considerably better in the 90's. I did not get the impression that there was anything near that amount of money available either to Carole or Anthony when he was alive.
