" Cold Case" did that using songs from the era in which the episode had taken place. However, they used the actual recordings, not some breathy singer and I always liked it there. Here, not so much. I still think they reveal the villain/Stalker too early in the episode. I end up not caring about the second half of the show at all.. Oh and Dylan McDermott having sex with a co worker. That's Original. I was having flashbacks and wishing the rest of the episode had been half as good as the worst episode of "The Practice".

Yes, I completely agree. Grief isn't rational and she's never had a chance to unleash her anger at Barbara . I can see the thought process. If Barabara hadn't been meeting her lover at the River, she wouldn't have fallen in and Jacob wouldn't have gone after her and died. Add a little wine and you have a scene at dinner. Yeah it was probably unfair to Maggie, but it was also understandable in my opinion. But then I am starting to find Maggie so annoying, maybe I just don't care.

I would bet good money that they still are not preparing their daughters.I doubt that Teresa has faced reality yet. She probably thinks some stupid on line petition is going to get the Judge to change her mind. That woman takes Denial to never before seen heights. I recall that she sat there with Andy AFTER the sentencing and said they hadn't explained it to one of the girls, was it Milania? She said she didn't think the kid knew yet. Even childless Andy was incredulous that she could think that. Teresa is absolutely the queen of Denial.

Manzo'd With Children - General Discussion

Personally, I would much prefer to hear about Christie's beauty secrets than Caroline. I swear Christie has a portrait in her attic that is aging. -
I like Vicki too. Not like I would want to actually hang around with her, but on the show, as far as I'm concerned Vicki is housewife Gold. Living in the OC myself I sort of look at her like a crazy aunt. Yeah, she's crazy, but she's my crazy. I also never liked Melissa, still don't, although I have never liked Teresa, and still don't. But as long as you don't like Brandi, I think your sanity is intact.

Trials and Tribulations of Juicy and Tre...

I would say it's more like the last straw. The criminals have proven over and over that they will do whatever they damn well please. Must be a PR persons nightmare. Their interview's with Andy only proved that they have not changed one little bit. Bitch still thinks she's special and rules don't apply to her. -

I used to like Heather but grew to absolutely hate her. She is a pretentious bitch. She is also 100% on point about the criminals and good for her for pointing out the obvious. Even pretetentious bitches can get it right sometimes. -

Don't you need good credit to lease a car? I leased a car about a decade ago and all I had to do was make the first payment and one payment as a "security" deposit that I got back at the end of the lease. That's it. Drove off the lot, drove the car for 3 years, turned it in got my deposit back. For me it didn't make alot of sense though because you have to start over, although I do recall I had the option of buying the car at a pretty good price. Still being old school (or cheap) I prefer to make payments and then have a free and clear car at the end of the payments. But then I live in a house I can afford and pay my bills so obviously have little in common with the Guduices. -

I still think this is head and shoulders above UTD. Of course a blank TV screen is head and shoulders over UTD, but still. I am still linterested. I can only hope the writers know where they are going because I want to understand the whole thing with why people were coming back in the 30's and then recently. Were there returnees in between? Clearly just beause Bitchy Grandma thinks they are all demons doesn't mean they are, and I hope that is not where they are going. One thing I still feel pretty secure about is that this isn't going to sink to the Space Aliens did it, overall, fall back position for so many of these shows. If they go there, I am definitely out, but I don't see that coming in this one. Although I wish they would lose Tom and the look-a-likes, one of which is pregnant (still don't care), I am fairly interested in the rest of it. I'm even finding Fred as mildly interesting again and that's an improvement. Barring a space alien swing, I'm in for the season.

All of this AND if you want to be left alone you don't do the apology tour. I was at Walmart and Tre is on another magazine cover. She has a new storyline now and she's going ot run with it. Sorry, but you want to be left alone, don't become a reality star. You don't want to go to jail and leave your "four beautiful daughters" don't commit crimes You want those daughters to at least get something out of the otherwise sad experience, admit you were wroing and show that you learned from it, instead of continuing to blame everyone else for your situation.

I agree and it is rare that I would give Teresa credit for anything. I just had to do something similar, although my "friend" is not anywhere near as needy as crazy Jacq. We never actually fought though, I just realized she was not someone I wanted to spend much time with and I particularly did not want her to know about anything in my life because she blabs everything to everyone always. Not that my life is that exciting, but it's my business Anyway, I am still cordial when I see her-we live in the same Condo complex, but we don't spend any time together any more. With someone as unstable as Jacqueline, I'd be a bit scared to tell her to take a hike. The old movie, Single, White Female comes to mind.

Actually as soon as they connected the shooter to the Cop/Dad it clicked with me that they were ripping off the Christopher Dorner story. A couple of years ago, here in So. CA. a fired cop shot and killed a Police Officers Daughter and her boyfriend in Irvine which I refer to as Stepford it's so squeaky clean and pristine. It was a real shocker because that type of crime is so rare and, at first, it appeared random. Seeing the suspect on the cell phone ranting is what reminded because Dorner had issued some type of manifesto that he was seeking revenge on all the cops that had wronged him on the job. It was huge news for a while, big manhunt, multiple sightings, lots of hysteria before he was killed. So, the premise was "ripped from the headlines" as L & O liked to say. Which is OK, I never minded it on L & O. I suppose you could also loosely tie it to "Stalking", alhtough not in the sense I usually think of Stalking. However, as with Dorner, if this guy was intent on wiping out a bunch of people he would presumably stalk them. OK, it's a strech, but I really, really wanted to like this show. I love the premise of a show about actual stallking cases because it is just so creepy. The one main problem I have with this show, other than the crappy writing and even worse acting, is that they "solve" it too soon. So we find out less than 1/2 way through, with very little effort no less, exactly who the shooter was. End of mystery for me, end of interest. I finally finished the episode last night, but I started watching it on Thursday night. In between I have watched the latest episodes of How to Get Away With Murder, Dateline, Grace Point (not exactly riveting itself) and Resurrection. Only then did I drag myself back to finish this one off. They did that with the previous episode too, we knew the villain too sooon. Count me in on those stating that the whole ex wife plotline is beyond ludicrous. I didn't find it so much creepy that he was standing outside lookiing in her window, it was the living room after all. I just found it incredibly stupid. Guys a cop and he can't figure out the pitfalls of that behavior. Yeah, right. I also agree that if she really had anything on him. as an officer of the court she is duty bound to report it and if, as it sounds, whatever it was happened years ago, she is going to have some explaining to do herself. Also based on her comments about him not wanting to be a father before, makes it sound like he just dumped her after the kid was born. While not the most admirable of behaviors, it is hardly the stuff that you can really threaten someone's job with. They can loose that whole storyline, IMO .
-
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Doesn't make sense. But then sitting down to a family dinner with 3 people who have recently been resurrected doesn't make a ton of sense either, so I am thinking logic isn't playing a huge role in this so far. Still I would say it hasn't shifted into UTD territory, IMO. Yet.
-
One other unimportant note. Jacob has remiinded me of someone and I just could not place it, but finally figured it out last night. He looks like he could be Taylor Swift's little brother. Their faces are so close. put blond hair on him and I swear they'd look like twins. I stand corrected on the Ratings as well. Looks like this show has hit a new low and is now esentially tied with "The Good Wife". I won't be suprised if TGW moves ahead next week. This may very well not finish out it's second season. It's really a shame. There are some excellent actors on this show and the premise was great. Too bad the writers seem to have no idea what they wanted to do with th premise. Just because UTD inexplicably survived two seasons, it was during the summer with no competition. Otherwise crap like that wouldn't survive a month. Certainly this has not hit that level of crap, but figure that doesn't mean you can lead us on another wild goose chase with no logic in sight and expect us to hang in. Been there, done that and learned the lesson from "Lost".
-
I suspect it will make it through Season 2, only because ABC doesn't seem to have an overflow of hit shows these days, and since it isn't in last place for it's slot against the other two major networks (or at least wasn't as of last week, that could certainly change), they will let it run this season. I would bet pretty good money there will not be a season 3, so I really hope they start to give us some actual answers here. I still like Bitchy Grandma-as an addition that has at least brought a minimum of interest to the show. I really wish I could give a damn about Rachel, her look allike rival and Tom, but frankly they could lose that entire portion of the story and I would be fine. I am not even remotely interested in the baby no matter how fast it's growing. While I didn't really like seeing Francis Fishers character as a drunk bitch, I could actually buy the emotion. Thankfully, I can only imagine the loss of a child, but I think blaming anyone and everyone would be fairly normal. So to blame the woman who, one way or another, went into the River the same day, especially considering that she was a cheating tramp, well yeah. I would be pretty ticked off too. I doubt rationality rules the day in that situation.

I agree they should lose all their stuff, certainly the fancy house, cars, clothes, etc. Teresa should be forced to apply her own make up and blow dry her own hair-Yes I know that's cruel and unusual punishment, but what can I say, I'm a sadistic bitch. They should also go to jail. -

Good to know since it's rapidly approaching. I think the children will be far better off with a grandmother, or two, assisting than with their total looser, tool, idiot, alcoholic father. -
I've noticed the ratings on this have dropped significantly from last season. Still beating Good Wife, but barely, and viewers are dropping. I am going to be really annoyed if they cancel this before we get some hint about the reason for the returnees. However, since it appears the wrtiers don't have a solution, it may be inevitable. Considering how badly many of ABC's shows are doing, and that this is still not last in it's time slot, it should make it thorugh this season. Not sure we'll have a third though.

Wow, looks like that "acting" career is going well........
-
OK Thanks for that. I thought it was a childs foot and shoe, not Barbara's. And yes, I think they must have used some great technology because the young Fred was a dead ringer - no pun intended.
-
What was the deal with" Young" Fred seeing a kids feet and tennis shoes and then his wife seeing a tennis shoe on the porcth? That threw me. I also noticed we find out Bellamy was adopted (and his comment about thinking his birth parents didn't want him regardless of any "good" reasons for the adoption was spot on-At least for most adoptees), and Maggie mentioning the bones were likely from the 30's, so maybe the African American family we met in season 1 with the missing son, really are his family as was speculated last season? So, maybe he was originally born in the 30's died, returned, etc. all prior to this last return we are all familiar with? I don't know, but I guess there are still enough questions to keep me recording and watching on Monday nights when there is nothing else on, besides Football. I think sinister Grandma was a good addition.

Ideally they could learn from it. Unfortunately, considering the parents, I fear all they are learning is that it's everyone elses fault, mommy's an idiot and didn't understand the plea bargain, if you don't get the outcome you hoped for, blame it on the lawyers, not the criminals, poor us, poor mommy, poor daddy. If anyone was paying attention, they should see if Kahty and Rosie's mom, presumably Teresa's Aunt either by blood or marriage, would be willing to care for the kids while Mommy goes away and daddy stays drunk. Because, so far, she is the only one I have heard about in this entirely frocked up extended family that said, essentially, "you do the crime you do the time". All the other morons are on the "Poor Joe and Tre" bandwagon and until that shit stops those kids aren't going to learn a damn thing. -

Now, see I am not ready to give up my HoWives just yet. Yes, I admit it. Addiciton is not an easy thing to recover from. I am actually experiencing withdrawal right now because there are no Housewives currently running, except this one that I refuse to watch. Did you guys know there are other Networks? There are even these things called "scripted shows"? I mean not like the HoWives where no one is supposed to admit their scripted, but shows like "Resurrection" and "Stalker" and stuff where they actually admit they are scripted? It's a whole new world, but still, not ready to give up my Housewives. Not cold turkey anyway. But this particular one? Yep, I'm done. At least with the show, but not the snarking. -

Actually lenders have been able to confirm that taxes were filed, on what amount and what W-2's were submitted to the IRS for years. I am in the industry. We have applicants signe a "4506" form which is a request for a transcript of what you filed with the IRS. We send iit to the IRS and get a response, usually the same day. I would not want to defend the criminals, but at the same time, the years between 2003 and 007-when it crashed- were the years of the "LIAR Loans". The reality is that many lenders, including so called "reputable" ones were not checking anything except the appraisal on the property. Whatever income you put down on your application was just accepted. I am surprised they even had to provide fake W-2's because., in those days, no one was asking for them. I refinanced my house in 2006 through my existing lender, not the lender I worked for. They, literally, told me not to send ANY documentation of my income, Just fill out the applicaiton. So, in theory, I could have easily gotten a loan for a much higher amount than I did. A couple of things stopped me, of course. The fact that I had to actually make the payments , the fact that I am not, by nature, a liar, and the fact that I had been in the industry long enough to know the insanity would not last forever and that I, as an industry insider, was not going to be able to plead ignorance when it all crashed, as I knew it would. So, I put down my true income. However, I did not provide one single piece of documentation to prove my income and I was not asked to sign a 4506 form so they could check my income directly with the IRS.
