  1. Yea pretty much. Let's end slavery across the sea, get dany all the wooden horses she needs, kill off the faceless men and shrink this world down to westeros.
  2. So basically she's suffered family and friend losses like everybody else on the show? It's funny that Dany's suffering gets downplayed and people barely have anything to say, but say something about poor Arya and everybody wants to jump to her defense.
  3. I would argue that Tyrion doesn't want to be Tyrion especially between post season 4 up until the time he meets Dany. But I get your point. Well stated.
  4. I'll give you Theon , but has Arya ever truly lost herself? She's tried but there's never been a point that she's ever been anybody other then Arya.
  5. Tell that to Tywin, Cersei, and Joffrey. He might leave if she becomes a full blown villain. But he won't have a problem working with her at first.
  6. As you just posted, Dany didn't even have a sense of self to lose, she had to find hers and she had to do so while being married to a dothraki barbarian. Sansa at the very least has been on the verge of losing her since her father died. Hell, she escaped last season because she was on the verge of being raped into nothingness. Tyrion has been at such conflict with his true self that he's tried to drink himself to death last season and is currently working with his family's sworn enemy because he's desperately trying to find something worth living for and I'm not even going to go into his problems with self pre show. Arya doesn't have the market cornered on conflict with self. The only difference is that her path hasn't been as hard as the rest.
  7. Wouldn't it be a real mindfuck if Tyrion actually was the valonquar all along and that Jamie was actually the red herring?
  8. I stand corrected. She lost her family which might I remind you, every single main protagonist on the show has lost. She lost her friends she met on the road and her wolf is still out there waiting to meet back up with her since it's one of the only two live ones left. And sense of self, once again, who hasn't? So yea compared to everybody else her losses have been minimal. Wasn't the point. The point was that different characters go through different levels of losses and successes and that it's impossible to say whether or not successes are earned based on the experiences of other characters.
  9. And if you compare her to Arya who's picking up FM skills without having to go through any loss whatsoever, (hell, if she doesn't take down the whole organization by the end of this season, I'd be shocked) and the amount of loss/ earning she's done has been nill then Dany's success would look earned. Different circumstances warrant different successes and costs. I actually think Dany would be compelling as a villain. You have someone trying to do something right, but they can't because they're going about it the wrong way or they're not the right person for that job. The only other villain on this show that's even close to such a description was early season Theon. Being a villain isn't a negative thing. Especially not on this show.
  10. Bringing up the iron throne period should be enough to set up alarm bells. You don't bring attention to something like unless it means something. That would be like someone asking Jon if he has a thing for redheads and Jon replies "I will never have sex with Sansa." I'd assume that one would probably start paying attention after such a statement. As for the "box" speech, that's also a false statement since Tyrion had people following him in Blackwater. Hell, he's pretty much the leader in mereen at the moment. Because it would be forced dialogue. It's not like they were great loves, so why would they talk about each other? Not to mention that the situations that they were in really wasn't conducive to either thinking about the other. That's not to say that you don't bring up compelling points. Hell if anything the previews back up your argument. But I still feel as if there's plenty of evidence that points towards her as the queen and Tyrion as the king at the end.
  11. The murder of the king in the book was a lot different then the way he described it/ they showed it in the show. But I guess I'll just have to settle with faulty narrator.
  12. Not only did she refuse an assignment for the second time but she also just outted the organization to a target. I don't think they're playing with Arya anymore. Ok I knew something was missing in the Jamie slays scene. Where the hell was the pyromancer's body?
  13. I also forgot to mention they finally included the shits gold line so people can stop complaining about it not being there. So what happens if Arya marked the wrong person as the attempted murderer? She never actually verified that lady was the person who hired her. Quite the reckless thing to do.
  14. Tyrion stating that should have the exact opposite effect, there's no reason that any logical person would assume that Tyrion would even be thinking about being king. Yet for some reason the writers wanted to tell the audience that he "won't" be. As for examples I won't go through all of them but I'll talk about the two main ones for the sake of brevity: Blackwater: I'll admit that Tyrion would have had to lead the troops regardless, but showing Sansa being the queen in everything but name was interesting but it wasn't a necessary scene if it wasn't foreshadowing something bigger. Season 3 wedding, not the actual fact that they got married but as Sansa approached the steps, where the camera pulls back and she's lit up and she silhouetted like a queen. It's an interesting directorial touch for that scene. There's also minor things like that rom com shit in the previous episode where both Tyrion and Sansa talked about how much they hated getting married, the amount of time spent on that wedding as opposed to every other wedding on this show amongst other things. Tyrion, hero of Blackwater, one of the vanquishers of the mother of dragons (provided that she goes chaotic evil), who assisted in ridding the realm of his evil relatives. I don't think it would be as hard of a sell as people think. As an added bonus more because I like to go crazy with the analyzing then to present as actual proof. Could this be foreshadowing?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doY0IjisBlk Holiness-Stannis Justice- Snow Strength-Dany. Probably overthinking it but it's fun to consider.
  15. People wouldn't say that about Drogo because he doesn't have a known crazy relative and he's not a pyromaniac. Nobody's insulting the character, just saying that she's at the very least trending towards being an antagonist. I don't see how that's a bad thing.
  16. If next week, jon delivers a similar speech to the soldiers he recruits while riding on the back of Ghost, I'll call him out same as Dany.
  17. Thanks, I stand corrected. He killed Rossart on the way to the throne room. So why did Dany need to get on her dragon before she started pontificating? I imagine that the dothraki were already impressed with her after her last act. The Dragon felt a bit show offish.
  18. Yara definitely doesn't have 1000 ships. I don't even think she has 100 ships.
  19. I know this is a nitpick but shouldn't Aery's hand of the king's body have been in the room as well?
  20. Silence! The true protagonist is Ramsay. He's totally misunderstood.
  21. Tyrion is going to listen to that noise from Dany for a few minutes then he'll volunteer to stay back and rule Mereen in her stead while she does all that. :P
  22. Dany's about to tear some shit up. Finally. Arya's story is going somewhere finally. Even if I am annoyed that she'll probably escape leaving a deadly organization. So I guess we found lightbringer. Ok this is hilarious watching these people try to match wits with the high sparrow. He's making them all look like clowns every step of the way. Benjen return. Get hype!
  23. Jon not only has Sansa but he also currently has Davos. He should be fine.
  24. Yea, I'm still going with Tyrion king Sansa queen otherwise there were a lot of scenes in season 2 and 3 that were a colossal waste of time. But going with the Jon is the king scenario if people want Jon happy and for his marriage to serve a political purpose there's only one real candidate from the known alive women. That's Margery. She brings the Tyrells into the fold and she seems to be an expert in keeping her men happy. It's not her fault she keeps drawing freaks. Of the remaining candidates: Dany? She's an interesting case. Politically it makes sense and I believe that they have a connection that nobody else in the show has. But I see them more as foes then lovers. Sansa and Arya make no sense since he'd already have the north locked up. If he marries one of those two, it would be for love. Meera, admittedly I have no idea what she's an heir to. With that I can't really recommend her. Besides she seems more likely to end up with Bran. One of the Sand Snakes might work. Brings Dorne into the fold, on the negative side, the queen would be spitting out horrible one liners all the time. Yara. It brings in the iron born. But seriously who gives a damn about that iron born? A marriage to her would probably be a net negative. Let's go unorthodox. QOT. From her stories, she seems to be good at sex. Brings the tyrells. Just keep her in mind.
  25. it's crazy how relatively spoiler free Mereen has been with all the other information out there.
