I'm not holding Sansa to my standards, I'm holding her to the standards set by her father. What do you think Ned's reaction would be to her doing something like that? As for why I don't hold Jon to the same standards, I repeatedly have. I've said that leaving Ramsay for Sansa as a gift is not something that he would do. Arya's murder was played as tragic and horrifying while Sansa's was played as empowering. Sansa's Ramsay execution served no other purpose in the narrative other then to make sure that the audience sees Sansa give Ramsay what he deserved. Sansa knowing that she's beautiful is not the problem, Sansa being a woman is not the problem, the writers bending over backwards to conform their story to give her bad ass moments is. She withholds information from the one person in the world that is the most concerned about her welfare and we're not supposed to question that? She gets off on torturing someone to death and we're supposed to hand wave it away because the person in question deserved it? Look at Bran and look how much hate he got for his mistake and he didn't get anywhere near the defense that she does. If her detractors are holding her to a different standard then so are her supporters.

Whether Ramsey deserved it or not, it's still torture. If she was that worried about Ramsey and his elusiveness, she would've told Jon to kill him while he was beating the shit out of Ramsay.
-
I think Dany has matured. She's starting to realize that she can't continue to rule by fear. Also I tend to think she generally likes being around Tyrion since he's not trying to bang her and he doesn't treat her like a porcelain goddess. So she'd be more willing to listen to him. Hell, look how relaxed she was in that ironborn meeting.

When are the other actors going to let Sophie and Maise on the cool kid bus? :p
-
They both tortured someone to death because it made them feel good. The fact that Ramsey was evil doesn't change the fact that she enjoyed torturing someone to death. So, yea, she allowed Ramsey to bring her down to his level. She could've done all that and walked away but by torturing him to death she proved him right. Hell after the war, she was more concerned about Ramsay then she was about her dead brother. By performing that little bit of fan service, they made her character the final victim of Ramsay even in his death. And I'm sorry but Jon being cool with that is beyond ridiculous and way out of character for him. I remember last year when Arya killed scumbag trant and that scene was played up as a tragedy now murder is apparently cathartic.

Yea the more I think about it, the less sense it makes for Dany to leave behind her army commander. If the scenes from the previews indicate anything, I could see her leaving behind Darios and the second son to rule in her stead.
-
What they just showed us is that despite all the power she currently has, Dany's more then willing to listen to reasoning. She's trying to make the world a better place while at the same time going home. If she turns evil, I don't think it'll be because she's power hungry.

Blackwater at least required Tyrion and co. to use strategy to keep Stannis's soldiers at bay until the arrival of the soldiers. That wasn't the case this time around. It was also a nice character moment for Tyrion. Whether one agrees with it or not, it at least shows us that despite the bravado that the imp/dwarf/half man stuff actually does get to him. He was never going to leave there alive. Hell, even Ramsey knew that. Putting him in the Kennel was just fan service so that people could see Ramsay get what he deserves. The fact that she chose to torture him as opposed to letting his death play out by hanging or beheading brings her down to his level. Before people respond, yes that's even taking into account all his heinous actions.

Little Finger was always going to go north because he wanted that wardenship. Ironically enough, the only person that got screwed by Ramsay losing Sansa was Little Finger since there's no way that anybody's respecting his wardenship now.
-
Jon was always going to save his little brother. Everybody can argue the stupidity over it, but that's Jon he's not going to sit back and watch as his brother's brutally murdered. I don't see how anybody can be expected to do something like that. He asked at least once then he was interrupted by Brienne. Since then, he's been too busy preparing for war. I kind of like the whole new generation fixing the mistakes of the old generation theme that the writers currently have going on. The villains kids uniting for that purpose was pretty cool.
-
So basically, fan service, since that's not the way that Jon thinks or acts. Let's not turn this into a man woman thing. What Jon did was heat of the moment. Sansa actually had time to think about what she was doing and enjoyed watching him suffer. That's not to say that Ramsey didn't deserve it, just that it was a very cold and sadistic act.

Bran is going to be pissed to find out he's a bastard :p

Also minor nitpick, Yara. Westeros has had a queen before, even if history doesn't recognize it, didn't Rhaenyra temporarily sit on the throne?
-
I almost hope that LF tries to make Sansa marry him so she can go "lol, no."

Theon is the one who needs a favor not Tyrion. If he wanted to be lippy, he could take his hundred ships and try to outrun Euron. As for royally botching his task, Mereen's economy was up, the dragons are released and weaponized and the citizens are worshipping Dany more then ever. I guess his underestimating the master's greed was an admitted error, but I'd say his convincing Dany to save the ships they bought over more then made up for that error. I don't get why they'd waste the Rickon actor's time if they weren't even going to have him speak. So now that Euron's a goner, the Boltons are done and Cersei's pretty much all but finished, that all but makes the white walkers and the littlefingers the only villains left on this show. I loved the new generation talk between Dany and crew. That was far more inspirational then her normal crap.
-
So what's Theon's point at this juncture? Yara could've done the negotiations by herself and as a matter of fact, he seemed to be a bit of a distraction. Storywise, I get it he's needed to connect the Starks to Dany but why does Yara feel that she needs him?

A head kiss is the least romantic kiss that one can possibly give. Just sayin

If you dislike Tyrion that's fine, but saying that Tyrion does nothing of value is false. In this episode alone, it was his plan to take down the masters that Dany used, and he was the one who freed the dragons.
-
This episode alone disproves that statement.
-
That bothers me. The dragons clearly didn't like captivity and Tyrion freed them a while ago. What the hell were they waiting for? He asked, but Brienne took it upon herself to lay down futile threats at that moment thereby disrupting the flow of that convo.. The most important revelation is that Tyrion now knows that there are Starks who are alive. So now the big question is do they go North to get their support or go to KL after the Iron Island trip to take the throne ASAP.

Question. Was Jamie ever on Arya's list? because Walder and the Waif are only two people. Since it's a safe bet that Stonehart's not returning, we need a third person and I doubt that Arya's making it to Queen's landing in one episode.

1. There is a scene with "Shae" (played by Sibel Kekilli, dressed like a Meereen peasant), Tyrion and possibly Varys. 2. Tyrion and Varys have a farewell scene in the Meereenese port. (The rumours are that Varys and Olenna both head to Dorne. Judging from the letter Olenna was writing in 6x07, I'd say it's likely that that's where they end up.) 3. There is an explosion outside Dany's chambers. 4. Tyrion inside the pyramid looks up and sees the suspended torch shaking. 5. A red priestess (played by Melanie Liburd) appears. 6. 7 characters, 40 extras (Unsullied, slaves), sand and multiple green screens needed for Mesa Roldán, Almería shooting. Tyrion, Dany, Missandei, Grey Worm, Razdal and two other masters spotted on set. A dragon also confirmed to be part of the scene. Sapochnik-directed scene (6x09). 7. Crucial scene shot in Sorbas, standing in for the gates of Meereen (directed by Sapochnik). 8. The Sons of the Harpy are killing people (masters?) when something or someone surprises them. 9. The Dothraki charge Meereen (6x10). 10. Tyrion tells someone "Are you afraid? You should be. You're in the great game now. And the great game is terrifying." It seems that all scenes are accounted for except for the Shae scene.

It makes sense that Jamie would've told Tyrion about his reasons for killing Mad King. Those two were close. The look Tyrion gives jon in season 1 when Jon calls Jamie out on that now has more meaning. I want Dany to start off all negotiations with we have horrible fathers so when she starts off her negotiation with Jon that way, he can be all " Nah, Ned was pretty cool actually."
-
North was fine but I really couldn't get too excited about that portion because we've known exactly what was going to happen for the pat nine episodes. Hell, most people even could've told you how the war was going to go and other then Wun Wun and barely there Rickon, nobody of importance was even lost. I will give the show props for finally removing the yet from Tyrion's "she's not a killer, yet," speech. Onto Mereen. Tyrion also knows Jamie's true reason for killing the mad king? What?????????? Dany actually has an advisor that she's actually listening to? So slavery's ended, Mereen's back up and running, the dragons are free, you have the necessary transportation, and you have an epic advisor who knows the ins and outs of kings landing. Can we PLEASE leave Mereen now?
