So basically the plan was to just stand there and watch as the other side kills your allies and with the surviving members ( not all of who can or will participate) take over the island and force the games to end? Yea, even if no.1 was who he said that he was, the plan of taking over the whole island with like ten people was stupid. I hate they spent the promotional period hyping up the red light green light doll's boyfriend just for him to appear in an after credits scene to hype up season 3. Speculation wise: Thanos's bff becomes the big bad until he's killed in either the next game probably. Yong-sik's mom dies soon and he takes over as the big bad. Lee Myung-gi dies saving his ex and his son. But those are fairly obvious.

Gong yoo said Im just gonna go ahead and gobble up everything in site. Between this and train to busan, the only reason he wont get more american roles is because he doesnt want them. wow. Very nice intro. But there was two characters that were interesting and one of them died.

He's also the only president to get married in the white house and barring the public's ick factor with older guys /younger girls lowering, he will probably always have the youngest first lady record. Yea, I didn't give this show too much of a chance, would've preferred an angrier show, which is where Burr normally excels, but it is what it is.

HOTD In The Media: News From The Citadel
Oscirus replied to Meredith Quill's topic in House Of The Dragon
George RR out here dropping season 3 spoilers (for those that didn't read the book). I kinda see his point and the showrunners were clearly telling him things he wanted to hear to get him out of the room, but still lolz. -
Rhaenyra going on her religious heel turn ( it's subtle but there) will probably make her interesting by the end of season 3, I dont think there is any saving Alicents character. Even if she goes dark at this point, it'll be too little too late
-
7-2 with a dragon thats not a particularly good fighter is a little better, but not much Also how is the vale so nonchalant about losing the daughter of the targaryan with a really bad temper?
-
Still, it is his problem; Green losing means he's dead regardless of who's in charge. I concur. Your statement is accurate. He's made poor decisions. However, of the people left, he's unfortunately their best option. Maybe if his brother wasn't so hasty in firing Otto, that wouldn't be the case, but that's the current situation. There is nothing he couldve done differently to solve the dragon problem
-
Yea, it would; his brother is a moron, and even if they let his brother use Sunfyre, he's still down 7-2. If anything, the problem would likely be worse with his brother around doing stupid shit.
-
I get that Aemond was being a dick to Helena, and I won't excuse it. However the dude is under a lot of pressure; Rhaenyra now has two more dragons, the blockade is pissing off the commoners, and Daemon is raising an army, and he's waiting on his grandfather to arrive to help him, yet Gramps aint answering. He's pretty much all of Team Green's brain and muscle, which is a lot for any person to take on. With all that said, I don't see how team black loses this war, they legit have everything in their favor at this point. Especially since Alicent is about to give them King's Landing.
-
At least for this episode, Aemond wouldnt dare since the gullet is so close to dragonstone and they have seven dragons which is why he threw that little hissy fit and burned down the place right next to the gullet
-
With all the flying that she does to dangerous places, they might as well just let her fight in the war. Flying to Harenhall is probably the least egregious place she's flown to this season.
-
I legit thought that was the purpose of the Harrenhall arc in the first place. Humble Damon so he will respect Rhaenyra's reign. It was apparently all about showing Damon the princess that was promised. Should've started off with that, Alys would've saved viewers a lot of time. Yea they seem to be going the cult-leader route with her. I believe that when she starts doing heinous shit as the war goes on, it will be in the lord's name. I think his threats were about making her shut up and get on a dragon. At that point, he's desperate; he knows he's fucked if the situation remains the same, and he's throwing up a Hail Mary. I don't even think she took him seriously. It was pretty funny that she told him she ain't going to follow him and he will not come back. I wish they had spent time this year building up their relationship or, at the very least, showing how Helena went from a cryptic dreamer to a coherent seeer of the future. That Aemond scene and the Daemon scene came out of nowhere.

Bookwalkers Only: Dragons Are Coming
Oscirus replied to Meredith Quill's topic in House Of The Dragon
I don't even think that Criston's that stupid to have his men guarding a dragon corpse. Sunfyre was on the verge of death so Im assuming they're pretty much thinking and saying Sunfyre died. -
Helena's not going anywhere. I imagine she knows her end (if she's to die), and she's not about to run from it which is why she earlier told her mother she wasn't going anywhere. Aemond will be in Harenhall, and Aegon will be elsewhere; I fear that Rhaenyra's supporters might take out their anger on Helena whether Rhae gives the order or not.

Bookwalkers Only: Dragons Are Coming
Oscirus replied to Meredith Quill's topic in House Of The Dragon
It looks like next season will start with the battle of the Gullet, which means goodbye, Jace. You were a great character. -
Note to self: Avoid the internet before the next finale so you're not spoiled. Fix that shit. Wtf, HBO. So Helena has gone from cryptic hints to full-on spoilers. We don't have time to watch that develop, but hey, the Lannister playing grab ass is definitely time worthy. Speaking of wastes of time, all of that Harrenhall shit and daemon development was a waste of time when you could've just had him see the prince that was promised and reacted in the same way. Alicent is legit, the worst character in this series. Aegon's life is now in danger because she forced him onto the throne when he didn't want it. Now she's playing the victim again and screwing him over. Ulf is going to get old quickly. I'm glad that Jace is around to keep him in check because Rhaenyra doesn't want to do it. I get the feeling that Ulf might pull an Aemond vs Jace soon. I still hate that Rhaena legit abandoned her duties to chase a dragon she might not even get (Yes I know logic demands that she'll get said dragon, but that doesn't change my point). What's the point of changing Luke's death from the books into an accident if Aemond does everything else the same way as his book counterpart? I figure I'm in the minority, but this is a horrible season finale.
-
Sigh, another year another leak. This is just to tell people to be careful because the finale episode has once again leaked and spoilers are already all over tik tok reddit and twitter
-
Damon showed fear when told he was going to die in harenhall and showed empathy when he helped his sick brother to his throne. So of the three, he's apparently the most sane.
-
Rhaenyra is getting into her gray cult leader phase which makes her infinitely more interesting than the character that wanted peace at all costs. I have a sense that when she meets up with Damon, his time at Harrenhal will have changed him, resulting in a sort of moral shift between him and Rhaenyra.
-
Though it would be weird for Rhaena at least, if he's still into the whole name thing, he could still betroth Joffrey to Rhaena. Hard to say since Im not sure where his head is at at the moment.
-
I wonder which house would be the OSHA equivalent in Westeros
-
The season 1 Aemond fight was based on the fact that she had dibs on her mother's dragon and nobody else was allowed to claim her and now Rhaena's abandoning her duty to go dragon chasing. I really do wish they wouldve shown there's more ways a targ can help out in the war than to ride a dragon, but apparently not, we'll get the "uplifting" story of her riding the Vale dragon.
-
Only 1 actually next week is the season finale
-
Id argue that Rhaenyra's decision is much worse. 1. Vhagar can't be in all places simultaneously, and that blockade must be broken. The best course of action would be to use the Greyjoys, but they're not answering calls. They have no choice but to use the triarchy. 2. The likelihood of the triarchy defecting to the side with Corlys and Damon is extremely low. At worst, the triarchy will be an annoyance that must be dealt with later. Compare that to the dragon riders who are legit mercenaries with no real loyalty to Rhaenyra. There are no safety measures in place to stop them from defecting. Adding Grey wing and/or vermithor to the Greens would be extremely... problematic. 3. This one is less likely but still something to consider. If Vhagar goes down, Hugh Hammer will have the biggest dragon in the land. Since he has a claim to the throne through his mother, what's to stop him from using bully tactics to push his claim? Honestly, at this point in the war, they really don't even need those extra dragons. The blockade is currently working, and their armies are slowly marching in from the north. Also, Damon just needs one other dragon with him, and he'll be able to take Viagra, I think. It's pretty much a waiting game and Rhaenyra shall be easily ready to take the throne.

The writers really screwed up by pandering to the audience by not killing Laenor, unless Aegon's daughter takes over which lol, they have now guaranteed that the next king after Aegon/Rhaenyra is going to be a bastard.
