  1. That's not accurate. All the Duggar adult children have taken and passed the GED and the Duggar family has done and continues to do standardized testing for their children. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/30/292761.page http://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/19-kids-and-counting/michelle-duggars-blog/homeschooling-milestones/
  2. LOL!! I just said essentially the same thing.
  3. Nah. Papi is pronounced to rhyme wth sloppy.Pappy is pronounced to rhyme with Nappy.
  4. I'm super curious. Does anyone know the actual answer to this question? I mean, has Jim Bob or Michelle actually been asked this question and refused to answer? Have any of the adult children been asked?
  5. I don't want to annoy the moderators or slide too far off topic, so this'll be my last post on the subject. Dr Paul Wendel is not a fertility specialist. This site details his practice and lists some of the conditions he treats.
  6. Actually Michelle saw a Perinatologist - a physician who specializes in high-risk obstetrics - not a fertility doctor.
  7. It doesn't say this in the video or the following article. Am I overlooking it?
  8. I don't see anything wrong with it. The story doesn't say prayer was a contingency to the food offered. If it didn't bother the man in need, I'm not sure why it would bother anyone. When my children were small - about a gazillion and eleven years ago - I was treating them to breakfast at Denny's. A homeless man was there drinking a cup of bottomless coffee and warming up, I'd imagine. I asked the waitress to let him order any breakfast he wanted and add it to my bill without telling him who was paying for his meal. After we'd eaten and were leaving, my oldest son (at the time, he was about 9 or so) asked if we could pray with the man. We did. He didn't seem to mind and he had a nice, hot meal that day. I'm not sure why that would bother anyone.
  9. Sounds yummy. I'm a potato junkie AND a cheese junkie. I'm gonna give it a shot with supper tomorrow evening.
  10. I agree with this statement in theory. She did have a choice about what happened to her body, as do we all. She exercised her choice, however, when she went back the second time and accepted more cash. If the first time was as unpleasant as she claimed it was, why would she return? Said cash, maybe?
  11. I got mine at a thrift store four-ish years ago. I couldn't believe it when I walked up on it. Mine is the red, though. It doesn't match a thing in my kitchen and I don't care at all. When I bought it, it was still in the box, never used. Best $50 (plus tax) I've ever spent.
  12. I don't know. This doesn't seem at all stunted to me. My sons range in age from 19-25 and they love laser tag as do their contemporaries.
  13. That's not Jackson.
  14. I have, but I always found that confusing. One of my sisters was married to a man whose mother didn't have a name picked out at birth. He had to amend his original birth certificate in order to obtain a marriage license when he proposed to my sister. His original one - all those years later - still read Baby Boy XXXXX. I thought that was just goofy.
  15. LOL. I feel ya. With my third, I went to the hospital in socks. Not a shoe in my house would fit on my feet.
  16. I'm proud to have met the love of my life and to still be the love of his 30 years later. We've built a life together, raised four successful, intelligent children, have thriving careers and love God. If that makes me a Michelle, I'll wear the name gladly. :)
  17. LOL!! Not even a teensy bit. We've been married for almost 25 years; together for just about 30. I just love snuggling up to all the handsome that is him. Of course, we still love holding hands with interlaced fingers, too.
  18. Lovely pic. When I snuggle up to my guy - kissing or riding in the car - I hold onto him in just that way - with my hand grasping his arm. I really like that there are plenty of positive comments on their photo as well.
  19. That's adorable. My daughter made the same face at her first taste of lemon. She was about the same age as Baby Israel. Then she reached for more. She's an adult now, but has been in love with lemons and other intense flavors ever since.
