I have to say I get a lot of joy out if the pic from the Wedding episode with the Troubletones (including Sugar!!) on the dance floor and the moms (including Carole!!) singing on the stage.

So many Vocal Adrenaline songs... Alex sounds fantastic on his songs, but yeah I wish they didn't have Matt rap. I really like Time After Time and I kinda like the Klaine duet actually! I've never heard the song before. It's fun.

Here's a link for 6x12 (Sectionals) song spoilers: http://fyeahgleeclub.tumblr.com/post/110597123981/sectionals-song-spoilers "Broken Wings" - by Mr. Mister (sung by Falconers) "We Built This City" - by Starship (sung by Vocal Adrenaline) "Mickey" by Toni Basil (Sung by Vocal Adrenaline) "Chandelier" by Sia (sung by Madison, Kitty, and Jane) "Take Me to Church" by Hozier (sung by Roderick, Jane, and Kitty) "Come Sail Away" by Styx (sung by Madison, Mason, Kitty, and Spencer) I have to say I hate how many songs VA got this season. Especially considering Will basically hasn't sung at all. I also wish one of the final episodes wasn't completely sung by new people and randos. I like the new people and I'm cool with wrapping up their stories, but I don't know, I'm just not crazy about the song distribution this season. Oh well.

I liked this episode, but really I think it has to do with liking all of the songs and quite frankly there was nowhere to go but up after the last 2 weeks. I think this episode set it up pretty clearly that Samchel is not endgame and will likely be a transitional phase until Rachel decides to go back to NY. Which is exactly how it should be IMO. I loved the Samcedes scene. I wish they always wrote Sam like that, more like old school Sam. Plus, I just really enjoy Samcedes scenes. I agree though that it's odd that Mercedes is openly pushing Sam and Rachel together. I think it would be better off if she just expressed that she was sort of jealous but wasn't going to stop them from doing what they want to do. Agreed with those that didn't think the Brittany parents scene was funny, and I love Jennifer Coolidge and like Ken Jeong. But I liked most of the Brittana stuff this week. With that said, I wish the focus was more on Santana instead of Brittany. I mean, the focus WAS more on Santana but in terms of screentime. I'd rather watch Naya than Heather. Although I do have to add, and I hate saying it, but Naya looked kind of off to me. Her lips, mainly.

Even though I'm mostly enjoying this show, I'm secretly hoping that with Damon Wayans leaving New Girl, Adam Pally leaving The Mindy Project, and Eliza Coupe's show getting cancelled, that this is all an elaborate plan to bring back Happy Endings. In which case I will need Annie to become Penny again and for everything to go back to how it was!!

Let's try to market this: media, articles and interviews

The two that stood out like a sore thumb to me we're Come What May and All You Need Is Love but I chalked it up to Klaine fans. But again I have no idea who voted haha. -

They had a poll of the 13 best songs and I didn't think it was COMPLETELY off-base. I'm not saying I agree with it completely and I don't know who voted, but in general I could see most of those songs being near the top of a "fan favorite list" It was (in no order, just memory): - Don't Stop Believing - Don't Rain on My Parade - Teenage Dream - We Are Young - This is the New Year - Some Nights - Defying Gravity 100 (which threw me for a loop, original Defying Gravity no doubt though) - Cough Syrup - Smooth Criminal - Paradise by the Dashboard Lights - Come What May - For Good - All You Need is Love So, still somewhat Blaine-heavy, but overall I mostly get this list. -
On some level it bothers me that Nany goes around acting like she doesn't talk shit on people when I clearly remember last season her saying she didn't want Dustin to hook up with Emilee bc she didn't want him to hook up with "some slut" and she was friends with Emilee too. I just think her whole "I'm me and I don't bring anyone else down!!" thing is BS. I like Nany but give me a break. I think Nany talks shit as well but they don't show it because she's a fan favorite and has a certain edit (ie victim). Not saying I agree with the other girls, just that I doubt she's that much better.

That was Blaine that said that I think, but still.

The After Show: Because You Can't Get Enough
Craphole Island replied to Lantern7's topic in The Challenge
Yeah I didn't think anybody besides Wes came off well. Like why did Nany act all high and mighty saying she doesn't air out people's dirty laundry when that is literally what she just did. And quite frankly, Theresa didn't air any of Nany's shit considering it's all on TV... Plus they should've just ended it when Theresa apologized at the beginning. Because neither of them looked that good in the end. Theresa is pretty terrible at confrontation. Agreed, love the host! -
Okay was I the only one that laughed at Madison saying she couldn't stand the sound of the one skeleton's voice? Like, LOL, listen to a recording of yourself girl.

TJ doesn't tell each team until they arrive to the little hut. I'm guessing they always go to some similar hut when eliminated in other seasons, depending on when their flights home are.

Sorry, to clarify, I meant when the original season 4 newbies were introduced, Sam was considered a supporting character up until that point. Throughout the season, he moved into "lead" status. I guess basically I meant they weren't interacting so much with Kurt, Rachel, and Santana specifically (arguably 3 of the most popular characters, along with Blaine and Finn).
-
To be honest, I think this crop of newbies was always going to have an easier time being accepted by fans than the original crop for a few reasons, but mainly because unlike the original newbs, this crop wasn't tasked with building a show around them and carrying on the Glee legacy for the next few years. People were already upset that their favorite characters were mostly written out of the show, and then these (seemingly carbon copy) new characters came to take the spotlight from already established, beloved characters. Not only that, but they weren't even interacting with the MAIN leads (ie. Rachel and Kurt, because at the time the rest of McKinley aside from Blaine were supporting. Well, they did have Finn as well, I forgot.), so that didn't help things either. These new characters now are just glorified extras who get to sing a little bit and actually interact with the main players and aren't expected to carry on this show for many years to come, because it's ending in 8 episodes. I just think the original newbies had an uphill battle no matter what. And it didn't help that their general personas paralleled that of many of the original characters (some that were still on the show, even interacting with them). For what it's worth, I actually liked the original newbies for the most part, so I'm not saying this as some hater. I just think even if these new newbs were another set of carbon copies, they'd have an easier time because we aren't expected to invest in them the way we were the original newbies. Hopefully that makes sense.

She also has a very convincing American accent! I was shocked to find out she's Australian! (Or is she British? Now I can't remember!) Isla Fisher, that is.
-
I'm surprised Kurt isn't singing much at all this episode because I agree he'd sound great. But Jane isn't the only newbie not singing. None of the girls are. To be honest the song distribution this season has been off. It's basically been Rachel, VA, and the warblers singing the majority and everyone else sidelined (until this episode)

Sexiest Movie Moments: Was It Good For You, Too?
Craphole Island replied to DollEyes's topic in Everything Else About Movies
Michelle Pfeiffer on the piano in The Fabulous Baker Boys was pretty damn sexy. -
When I was in early grade school in the late 90s (3rd grade in 99), I went through a phase where I basically picked a new crush and would watch every single movie, no matter how terrible, that came out. I was big into teen slasher films at the time (especially Scream, which I still watch pretty regularly) and I was basically obsessed with Neve Campbell and Rose McGowan and watched any movie I could find with them, which took me to some weird places movie-wise. But as far as I was concerned, they didn't make bad movies. Same with Katie Holmes, Julia Stiles, Meagan Good, and Kirsten Dunst, plus Rachel Bilson a little later. And then in high school that turned into Rachel McAdams. I will still see anything she's in. As for other current crushes: Emma Stone, Dianna Agron, Isla Fisher, Anna Kendrick, Maggie Grace But I wasn't just crushing on ladies. I would also follow Chris Evans, Josh Hartnett, Mekhi Phifer anywhere (I loved O), and I really liked Jesse Bradford from Bring it On and Swimfan. And Shawn Ashmore in X-Men. I also went through a pretty big Shia Labeouf phase in high school, not gonna lie. Nowadays, all the Chris's for sure. Plus JGL. Alicia Silverstone from Clueless and Batman and Robin (also Chris O'Donnell from the same movie) were pretty big ones for me too. My first crush ever though was Amy Jo Johnson in Power Rangers. And as for more old school crushes, I'm into Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. Love Barefoot in the Park. Yikes, I have a lot. Okay, I'll stop.

I like it, but then again I like Chord's voice. And selfishly, as a Sam fan, I'm happy he finally gets a solo that's actually serious. The only other time he really did was "Something" and that whole sequence in the actual show was kind of terrible to me, even though I like his version. Also, I think Heather sounds great on "Wishin' and Hopin'" and I'm not usually a fan of her voice.
-
The songs are out on Itunes for "What the World Needs Now". I think they all sound great! Good week for music, IMO. I only listened to the clips, but from what I gather, here's how it sounds like: "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" - Rachel and Sam "Baby It's You" - Mercedes "Wishin' and Hopin'" - Artie, Brittany, and Blaine (maybe Sam too?) "Arthur's Theme" - Artie, Roderick, Sam, Blaine (and maybe some other newbies, idk their voices yet). "Promises, Promises" - Rachel "(They Long to Be) Close to You" - Sam "Alfie" - Santana "What the World Needs Now" - Rachel, Mercedes, Will, Sam, Kurt, Artie, Blaine It's good to hear Artie and Mercedes again (and Will for the first time this season).
-
Aren't there pictures of the cast in like sparkly blue outfits? I thought that was for 10 when they do that bar mitzvah and Rachel sings "Break Free". Chord is in those pictures. But I guess thst could be 11 not sure.
-
I think my favorite is "Don't Stand So Close to Me/Young Girl". Matt sounds great and his facial expressions are great, but Emma and Rachel's reactions are hilarious. The songs also mashup really well. If I ever hear one (typically the former), I automatically start singing the mashup version instead and then I'm like "wait..."
-
But didn't she want it? She sang about it quite a few times. (I don't disagree with your point, though.)
-
For the record, Cranberry's "spec" is exactly how Samchel should go IMO! I know your post was mostly making a point, but I think that's the best way for this to go.
-
Right, I don't think he's perfect or anything but by Glee standards, I'd say he's one of the closest things we have to a good person, along with Mike, Mercedes and maybe Tina before they turned her into a raging psycho.
