  1. I liked the pilot a lot, but I kind of want to wait until the rest has aired and just binge on them. Stupid Netflix has me spoiled.
  2. That was great. Very much looking forward to this season. I hope they change the opening credits to something more Miami Vice-y, but as they added Lucky Yates' name in this episode, I guess it's unlikely.
  3. I'm not sold on Pretty Deadly yet (I'll get the collection), but I enjoyed East of West. It's by Jonathan Hickman though, which is an acquired taste. I love his series The Manhattan Projects too. The last new series I read that I really liked was Nowhere Men, from Eric Stephenson and Nate Bellegarde. You can read the first issue for free here: https://www.imagecomics.com/comics/releases/nowhere-men-1 Lazarus, by Greg Rucka and Michael Lark is very good too. Also, for fans of the Adventure Time cartoon, the comic series written by Ryan North is fantastic.
  4. Odd that Marnie gets mentioned in the synopsis but was in only one scene. Was there a subplot cut? Adam was great in these episodes. I love his irritation with Shoshanna.
  5. I'm not at all convinced the Moriarty resurrection is real. I hope it's not. I did mostly love the rest of the episode. Freeman was great. For those wondering about the whole fake housefront for the trains to go by, there's an article on it here: http://www.urban75.org/blog/the-fake-houses-at-23-and-24-leinster-gardens-bayswater-london-w2/ I think it must have been going around Twitter or something a few months back, because I guessed what it was straight away when Sherlock told Mary to look at the houses.
  6. I haven't watched yet, but for those interested, Ep 3 is already on Hulu (and elsewhere, I assume): http://www.hulu.com/helix
  7. I've never been willing to pay for Never Not Funny, but it looks like it's moving to Earwolf and will be free from now on: http://www.earwolf.com/show/never-not-funny/
  8. Looks like S6 could be the last: http://tvline.com/2014/01/08/justified-last-season-6-ending-fx/ I keep forgetting we're on S5 already. It doesn't feel nearly that long since the series started.
  9. Details here: http://tvline.com/2014/01/07/sense8-netflix-cast-wachowskis-spoilers/ Sounds Flashforward-y. At least it won't have to stretch it out over 22 boring episodes like that show did. Let's just hope they get actual Asian people for the Korean parts this time.
  10. Damien would certainly do it if he found out about it, but that would require a bit of explanation. I don't think he'd automatically know what the video shows either, so Will is probably more likely.
  11. Tig Notaro has a new interview series, Up Close with Tig Notaro. It's exactly what it sounds like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Crau2ggbQMw
  12. Not the strongest episode of the season, but that cameo at the end had me laughing for about five minutes after. Good to see Uncle Junior Judge again too. For those who haven't seen it, the music video the cast did for Tricky Trick, which is an appropriately annoying earworm:
  13. I think it takes place over something like 20 years. So a mix of modern day and period. (Does 90s count as period yet?)
  14. I could have done with less of the Drunk Sherlock. It was funny, but I didn't need it to go on for so long. Same with most of the episode's set-pieces. I did like how the mystery came together in the end though.
  15. I almost never go to the Youtube homepage. Usually I find out about new videos from channels I subscribe to through Twitter, or just knowing what days of the week they update.
  16. I really enjoy Paul F. Tompkins' Speakeasy interview series: I don't really like watching videos longer than a minute or so on my laptop, so I always queue them up and watch on my TV when I get time.
  17. Chang only has about two lines in the two episodes that aired, which is an acceptable amount.
  18. There's no Veronica Mars section, so I guess this goes here?
  19. Start at the beginning of the Mark Waid run: http://www.comixology.com/Daredevil-Vol-3/comics-series/6209 Marvel's numbering for their different volumes is very annoying. DC at least would have labeled it as "Daredevil (2012 series)" or something, which is easier to find than "Daredevil Vol 3." They're relaunching it again in a few months as Daredevil Vol 4, even though the only difference will be a new location (San Francisco, IIRC) and a higher price. Presumably we'll get to Vol 5 by 2016.

You can choose which one you use. I recently switched from Springfield Atom to Technopagan (Level 10 in Buffy).
  21. There was an episode last season where the voiceover definitely made me feel that the mother was dead, but I don't know if they'd actually go there. It could be a bit too much of a downer ending.
  22. My list: The Bugle (John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman) - Hopefully John's new HBO show doesn't screw with the schedule too much. Comedy Bang Bang The Dissolve - Film podcast. Their game time-esque segment usually annoys me with their vague unprofessionalism, but otherwise good. EHG Firewall & Iceberg The Flop House - Probably my favourite current podcast. Recently listened to all six years of their back catalogue, and there's rarely a bad one. Go Bayside! - Saved By The Bell podcast. Occasionally repetitive (guests often observe the same things), but funny. Listen to the PFT episode. House To Astonish - Comic book podcast. Scottish. Jordan, Jesse GO! - Occasionally annoying, but often worth a listen. The K Ohle - Varies from week to week, but Braunholer is funny. Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo's Film Reviews - BBC Film review show. PCHH Slate's Audio Book Club - Dan Kois and guests discuss a book a month. I need to catch up on my reading, I'm well behind the episodes. Stop Podcasting Yourself - Canadian. Like JJGo, but better. Thrilling Adventure Hour Welcome To Night Vale
  23. I'm okay with that; he's great in The Thrilling Adventure Hour podcast. Happy he's getting some TV work. It was nice to see him in the upcoming season of Kroll Show too.
  24. http://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-watching/nbcs-hannibal-to-return-in-february Bad news for Neil Cross's John Malkovich pirate show (I assume), but I'm glad we won't have to wait until the summer for Hannibal.

I've only had it for a few days, so I'm still finding ones I'm good at, but which aren't stupidly easy. The Name the TV Show one wasn't challenging at all. I've played it about a dozen times and have gotten maybe two questions wrong.
