S07.E05: Mind Your Own Business
slitz replied to QuinnM's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Not to mention that at this point, Carole barely knew Luann. They had a very tenuous "friendship", IMO. I don't know, I just don't see why the sudden outrage over Carole dating Adam. As others have pointed out, it wasn't until AFTER the season started airing that Luann started coming after Carole. Add to the fact that she keeps mixing up why she's so upset...first it's because Carole is supposedly so close to Luann's niece, next it's because Adam is the "help", no wait Adam is "family", nope he's back to the "help"...I mean, no wonder people think someone else is writing her blog and/or tweets. Whoever it is can't keep their story straight. -

I rewound that part at least 5 times. The look on Kristen's face had me rolling with laughter. Priceless! Never change Ramona, never change. -
Carole Radziwill: She's a Real Princess!
slitz replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I just read some of Luann's tweets from Tuesday night and saw a snippet of Carole on WWHL discussing said tweets. ME-OW! Neither woman is coming off very well, IMO. Luann needs to get over whatever her issue is with Carole dating her "help". Seriously Luann??? Your "help"? Are you still stuck in the 1950s? As for Carole's "slip" about Luann liking variety and what that includes...that seemed pretty petty to me. And what in holy hell did she do to her face???? To this point in the season I have thought Carole looked very pretty and very natural. But there was something so...off about her face on WWHL. -
Having only seen the previews, I can kinda get why Heather might have been upset. Waking up to a strange man that you don't know in your vacation home would probably upset a lot of people. I mean, yeah, Luanne can have whoever she wants to overnight in her own home, but when you're sharing a home with other people, it seems a little classless as the Countess would say. I could be wrong, but when they went to St. Bart's didn't they all have separate quarters and such, so the pirate guy probably wasn't such a big deal because of that? This looks more like they're all in one large vacation home.

S07.E04: The Art Of Being A Cougar
slitz replied to hoodooznoodooz's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
The Countess would say yes I think for her remarks regarding the Count and their divorce. By the way, not a fan of the Countess right now. I love how relaxed and breezy she was last year as a "friend of" but now that she's got her apple back? MEOW! I don't know, I just don't really see why she's so outraged over Carole and Adam. I just don't think it's that big of a deal to STILL be harping on it in her blogs and over Twitter. The tweets I read were pretty vicious, IMO, regarding both Carole and Heather. Lighten up Lu! Don't be all uncool! -
Carole Radziwill: She's a Real Princess!
slitz replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
I saw the scene with Carole and Heather differently. I saw a woman share an embarrassing (there's no denying that!) story with her very close friend, someone that she knew wasn't going to judge her or look down on her. I don't think Carole wasn't embarrassed by what happened, but at that point, what are you going to do? To me, that was one of the more honest moments of the show and I would love to see more of that, or even moments like the one of Ramona and Dorinda at Ramona's apartment. Two good friends sharing stories, warts and all and getting a laugh out of it. Honestly, some of my most embarrassing moments have been sources of great laughter for my closest friends and I. Would I do it on camera? No...but then I also wouldn't be on a reality tv show. I'm uncool, as the Countess would say. ;) -
Kim Richards: No Escape from Witch Mountain

Ugh. I just can't with her during this interview. She pours on the waterworks and tries to change the topic whenever it gets to something she doesn't want to talk about.- 6.9k replies

S05.E22: Reunion Part 3

S05.E22: Reunion Part 3
slitz replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I have to admit, I'm struggling with your posts. I am trying very hard to keep an open mind but it seems like what you're saying is that, no matter what Kim has done, Kyle is to blame for all of Kim's addictions and/or poor decisions. I don't know, maybe I'm probably reading them wrong but as I mentioned above, the only person to blame for Kim's problems is Kim. I think I've mentioned here before that my youngest brother and I do not have the greatest relationship. We did not grow up together (different mothers), saw each other only every few years for most of our lives and with a 7 year age difference did not have a lot in common. Then I moved to Florida to be closer to my father and family here. When I first moved here, I lived with them for a little bit. This did not go very well. My brother has a lot of issues from his own childhood and suffers from PTSD. Unfortunately, he used that as an excuse to get drunk and high all the time. Money went missing from everyone's wallets, credit cards were stolen, no one could have alcohol in the house, etc. And somehow, in his mind, I was to blame for all of this. Somehow he felt that our parents (my father and step-mother, who is his mother) chose me over him. One day, his mother came home to find that he had tried to hang himself - he was unsuccessful thank goodness. After she was able to get him down and was holding him, he kept saying that it was my fault, that they (our parents) kept choosing me over him. Now I will be the first person to admit that I am not perfect. I have made plenty of mistakes in my life and have probably not always been the best sister to my youngest brother that I could have been. But that does not mean that I am to blame, or share in the blame, for his drinking and taking drugs, stealing from the family, etc. So perhaps it's because of my own personal experiences that I have a hard time with the blame that it seems people want to place on Kyle. Kim made these choices. My brother made his choices. THEY made their choices. Not Kyle, not me, not anyone else. So if anyone is to blame, it's themselves. Oh I completely believe that she's saying this because she's afraid she's about to lose her job. And she should be afraid. -
S05.E22: Reunion Part 3

If I could "like" this a million times I would. This is a thing of beauty and you said what I was about to much better than I would have. As my boyfriend would say, nobody is holding a gun to Kim's head and making her drink or take pills. She is choosing to do this. She is choosing this life. SHE IS. Not Kyle, not Kathy, not even Big Kathy. Heck, in one of the articles I've read today about her sit down with Dr. (HA!) Phil, Kim even admits that she knew what she was doing last Thursday night. She knew that she was choosing alcohol and any other substance she may have taken over being sober. SHE CHOSE THIS. -
Was just coming here to report it but Rhetorica beat me to it! Color me not surprised at all. It would be sad to me if I didn't think that she'll somehow try to find a way to blame Kyle for it.

S05.E21: Reunion Part 2
slitz replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I'm right there with you on the reunion episodes feeling somewhat anticlimatic by the time we actually see them. Between the First Looks, the previews, the laides teasing the episodes, etc., I feel like I could skip them all and still know everything that happened. And I would take back every bad word I've ever said about AC if he actually fired someone at the very end...so long as that someone was either Brandi or Kim. But that'll never happen. -

Where's a well placed emoji when you need one, right? ;) Moving on...there is absolutely nothing that Bravo can show me that will redeem either Brandi or Kim to me. They have both shown their true colors this season. Between the screeching and talking over any else that dares to speak when asked a question, the delusional blogs, etc., I am done with both of these women. I've watched the preview clips for tonight's reunion show and they just reinforce my position. Honestly, if either one of them are back next season I'm out. -
Eileen wins at all things! Love the addition of her and Lisa R this year.

S05.E20: Reunion Part 1
slitz replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Thank you for pointing this out. Aside from Brandi's derogatory remarks towards Kyle at the end (I can't even begin to imagine calling another woman that...I find it absolutely deplorable and refuse to even type the word), this showed me once and for all that Brandi is an absolutely horrible person and will throw out whatever she can if she thinks it will take the focus off of her or make her look better by comparison. -

Season 5 Reunion Spoilers, Previews, Gossip, Etc.
slitz replied to quinn's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Thank you for posting that link! I typically do not watch WWHL so I didn't feel I could comment on all this back and forth on what happened in regards to Kim's comments about going to therapy with Kyle and Kyle not wanting to do it if the cameras weren't present. Now that I've seen it, I feel I must say something. Based on this clip, there is absolutely NO mention whatsoever from Kyle about not wanting to go to therapy if they couldn't film it. I find it very hard to believe that Kyle would only go if cameras were there and I don't know where this is coming from. It certainly isn't coming from Kyle on the clip. She has shown, IMHO, time and time again this season that she wants desperately to have a close and loving relationship with her sister. She has defended Kim's sobriety multiple times and has reached out to Kim multiple times to try and work on their issues. Yes cameras were present but hey guess what...Kim agreed to them being present as well! It's not like she said to Kyle that the only way she'd sit down to lunch with her and Eileen or go to Kyle's house in the desert was if there were no cameras present. If that was the case, guess what? We would have never seen it! Additionally, I can't begin to imagine how painful it must have been for Kyle to hear Kim say to her that Kim was fine with the way things were between them at the time. I would be devastated if one of my brothers told me that they were perfectly okay with not speaking to me. My youngest brother and I often do not see eye to eye on things. He is a master manipulator and has caused a great deal of pain in our family. There are many years of misunderstandings, resentment and anger in our relationship. There are also years of love, laughter and support between us. We have a complicated relationship and it will probably always be that way. But at the end of the day, we are brother and sister and always will be. We will always be there for each other and love each other...even when we may not necessarily like each other. And we don't always. We call each other out on our bad behavior, we argue, we fight...but we still love each other and want each other in our lives. Granted, he's never accused me of stealing his GODDAMNED HOUSE...but our parents are still alive. -

YMMV, but I did not see Lisa R making a "huge deal" about this. She was joking with Eileen, that's all. -
