S06.E12: Bubble Baths And Family Wraths
JeanJean replied to greekmom's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After
It occurred to me that Ronald's spending sprees, like at the Christmas shop, could be giving him the same kind of thrill as gambling. I wish he had a therapist or a 12-Step sponsor (I learned so much about those programs thanks to the sitcom "Mom") who would point that out to him. -

repeating myself, sorry -
Many years ago, I was hanging out with some female friends, who said admiringly of a man we all knew who did things like diaper (!) and feed (!) his baby, "He's such a good dad." I remember saying, "We don't say what a good mom his wife is. Why shouldn't he do those things? She's his daughter, too." Ronald does desperately need some baby-safety classes. The plastic bag incident was truly alarming.

I fast-forward through Fernanda's scenes. I think what she did to John was awful and pure manipulation. She knew she would not stay in the town where he lived and did business and that she wanted to go a big city and be an actress. Right after marrying him, she ditches him and takes half his income. Before she did that, I liked her, but that made clear what she had planned to do all along. She pretends to be much nicer than she is, IMO. -
S06.E09: Not So Silent Partners

Given Ronald's insane insistence earlier, I wondered if he's going to keep them prisoner in there. And only half-jokingly. -

What bothers me is apparently, from the Darcey and Stacey previews, Jesse is coming back!!! Whyyyy, TLC, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? We've suffered enough. -

I'm willing to go with maybe Trish said something about "cook"ing and Natalie though she said "hooker" BUT --- gee, Trish, you try to break up the wedding, you inappropriately comment on her age and you're surprised she would accidentally hear something negatively? Tom's new gal seems nice but what's with all the plastic surgery addiction? -

When they were driving to the restaurant or wherever with Mom, why wasn't the non-driving twin mimicking driving like her sister, a la vacuuming? The fact that they weren't doing that makes me think the whole vacuuming thing was faked to suck people in. It would be interesting (just for fun) to see if they'd say the same thing at the same time if they were put in separate rooms.

S06.E08: First Look: All Shook Up

Mike was spoofing the song they always sang on Big Bang Theory. That said, he's a dick. I'm team Natalie. Yes, she's high-strung and nutty, too, but Mike and Trish are tag-teaming her and that's not fair. I may be alone in this, but I was glad Brandon and Julia gave Ron and Betty hell. They specifically asked them not to do that. And then Betty goes into her wide-eyed victim thing. She'll just keep overriding their boundaries and such if they just give in. -
All John was asking was that he be heard equally to everyone else. Someone please tell the Australian twins that they each have their own heart!!!!!!

First Sunday without "Mare." I'm not happy.

And what happens if their stretch marks don't match?
-
The actor who was supposed to play that part dropped out (pretty last-minute, I think). Guy P did it as a favor to Kate; they're friends.

Colin's mother should have said, "You just do what you want and don't care about the consequences! Like when you hogged that piece of wood and Jack froze to death in the ocean!"

Picking up a thread from numerous posters here, I wish DJ had stayed with Dylan's parents. Now he'll grow up in the midst of a very twisted family history whereas if he stayed with the Hincheys, his growing up years could be about him. Not to mention all the disappearing people he's already become attached to at an age far too young to have any grasp of what's happened. Trust selfish John to not think of what's best for DJ, not just the fact that "he's my son."
-
My sister and I just talked about that. Her take is John still had sex with a minor, so he's probably still in jail for that.

In Pennsyl-VAIN-ia. 😃 (I am so sorry.) Maybe in a mystery/thriller the penultimate episode is always more thrilling than the ending. I have to think about that. In Breaking Bad, the last episode was as thrilling as anything before it, but that wasn't a who-dunnit; it was a how's-he-gonna-do-it?
-
So why did Dylan threaten Jess with a gun? I cried during the arresting of Ryan section.
-
That reminds me: How come Meredith didn't see Doc on the dead people beach?
-
I think it's because they already love DJ, and the trauma of losing all continuity would scar that baby psychologically for life. Plus, their only child (Dylan) is a dick.
-
I found it confusing in the first episode that many of the men looked to much alike to tell apart easily. Awesome that that might have been deliberate! Don't expect her to act rationally, but most people don't start slapping people even in the first overwhelming stage of grief.
-
And also, Colin CHOSE to be a cop/detective. Risk is part of the job. Not Mare's fault.

The twins at the pumpkin match drove me a little nuts with their interpretation of the black chicken. No, it's not a sign of anything, the chicken LIVES there. And the chicken is following you around either because a) they imprinted to humans and/or b) they're around humans so much they're very comfortable (and maybe think they might get fed).

I loved when Mare said that at the first session. I think that's what Matt Damon/Will says at his first session in Good Will Hunting.
