I live in Hawaii and all weddings I've attended were mostly buffet and just a few sit down dinners. I think at least the Dillards didn't run out of food/snacks. I've gone to two weddings where the buffet ran out a little half way through the line. One we were lucky because we were in the first half of the line and the second we were on the second half of the line and didn't get any dinner. But we did have dessert and coffee. You would think that the final count of RSVPs would have determined the amount of food catered. I don't know how they could have accounted for less.

I don't know if it will be repeated for Jessa and Bin but who knows?. One I would be very interested in is a Jana courtship and wedding.

Cathy's dress is modest even with the sheer sleeves and neckline. Although the color is dark it has a soft look. To me anyway.

I was married 30+ years ago and can't fathom how much weddings cost nowadays but seeing how light fares are in the fundie world it may not cost JB that amount of money after and if all girls are married. I don''t think Josh felt that way either. I actually liked Josh a little bit after his TH about how hard it must be for Derick to be happy (the wedding) and sad (his mother's illness) at the same time and he went on and said more but I thought what he said was very nice. Ahhhh, I forgot about the reception at the Duggar home. Yes, that added to the expense and JB and Mechelle have another one coming up in a few days.

Aside from Derick's brother. There was his cousin Tony, missionary friend Madison and another guy but, I'm not sure who he is. Kelly Bates rocked the same dress and I think it was a shorter version too. I don't think that dress would have worked on Mechelle no matter how it was altered.

I know they know they can ask for everything and they will probably get a lot of what they asked for but what gets to me is how self indulgent they are. Not even stopping to think (if they even think) if they truly need it. Heck I can use a plain old knife to cut off the stem of a strawberry. But anyway, thinking of the registries make my blood boil so that is all.

Yes, shabby or shabby chic has been around for a while and is becoming or is the most "in" theme. I cringed when a friend told me she was going to distress her very nice T.V. armoir for that look and in the end I had to confess that it turned out really nice. Much was said about Jill's lopsided wedding cake but I didn't see anything wrong with it except for the floral decoration on it. I don't know if her cake was intended to be lopsided but there are cakes that are intentionally made to look like it is. I have a feeling that Jessa may be going in the shabby direction for her wedding too since she is "using/borrowing" JIll's decorations. There was also a wedding shower pic on Pickles and Hairspray with Bin and Jessa's pics hanging on clothespins.

Let's not forgot Jessa is also an "author". After primping in front of the mirror and before burning dinner for Bin she could be writing a tell all book.

I got a side hug from my niece's 6 y/o son and I turned and asked her if he watches 19KAC with her and she said no and explained that that is his shy hug. .

Jessa might not even care that her wedding has been put on the "back burner". BTW has anyone else read the latest comments on her I'd Rather Have Jesus post on her FB? Lots of negative comments about their registry and not much comments from leghumpers.
