  1. One good thing...no last Stark conversation. We got a lot Brienne/Jaime and Jaime/Tyrion, Ser Jorah/Dany and Jorah with Lady Mormont, Grey Worm/Missandei, Theon/Sansa but NO Jon/Sansa and No Jon/Arya and no Sansa/Arya. Not that I thought they would die next ep., but I like the confirmation it will not happen. @Brn2bwild we posted at the same time! I think it's a good sign.
  2. Jon doesn't seem to be worried about the incest either, so I didn't expect Dany to be.
  3. I think she emphasized that he's male more for the audience, to explain why he's a head of her in line for the throne. She is the mad king's child; jon is his grandchild; but because Jon is male, he jumps over her in line. Seems too late to introduce a pregnancy.
  4. Jon is just stupid. We all have to accept it. No good reason to tell her when he knows the Night King is around the corner. For me, personally, dying to save a Stark is really the only fitting end for Theon that could redeem his betrayal. I've long thought he was only alive to die for a stark. That would make him a hero. There's no way Jaime doesn't die. It might not be this battle, tho.
  5. I am sad Theon will die. But would never want Lady stark with the man who betrayed her family. I'm comfortable with Sansa ending up alone, if men like Theon, Tyrion, and the Hound are her only options.
  6. In the preview, Dany says the dead are already here? Is she talking about the crypts?! Will all the women and children die down there?!!! I will not be able to handle it!
  7. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Maybe because I really have no clue how this will end. Everyone will die and I'm not ready. Poor theon is going to die first saving Bran isn't he? Lady Mormont probably also gone...I'm so sad...Grey worm or Missandei too WHAT ABOUT THE NORTH? Any hope of North's future independence. All I need is that and the stark ladies staying alive.
  8. ^^ During the cast interview before the premiere, Sophie mentioned how she really loved working with Lena and how much she learned from her. She's really benefited from being paired with such strong actors at a young age--Lena of course but also the young actors who played Joffrey and Ramsey, peter dinklage, actress who played Lysa Arryan I thought was really good as well. Now, she really is a force in her scenes at winterfell, imo.
  9. I think there's plenty of time for conflict between Jon and Dany. It's already started with the Sansa and Sam and north vs. Dany and Jon learning he's the true heir. I don't see Sansa ever warming up to Dany, but I can see her pretending to. And I think she will absolutely push for Jon to stake his claim when she learns about his parentage, because that's a very Sansa thing to do. Dany has already pretty much threatened her to Jon's face the first ep. I wouldn't be surprised if Dany starts to see Sansa as a threat that needs to go, which would put Sansa AND Arya vs. Dany, with Jon in the middle. And I think he would absolutely choose Sansa and Arya over Dany. The writers even spent time on this conflict during Jon and Arya's reunion scene, so I don't think it's going anywhere.
  10. ITA with your post and the quoted posted. I haven’t sat down and tried to pinpoint when Sansa became so compelling to me. But I think it would be during her time at the vale. Her scenes just became must-see for me, and I started really hoping she would survive but doubted she would. I found myself half watching other characters I once preferred like Dany and Arya during her training. I always half-watched Jon’s scenes because he used to bore me. But I became glued to the tv during any Sansa scene. Sansa is human, which means she’s not without flaws. Though I think her flaws are exaggerated. I just don’t agree that she’s been awful to Jon. She didn’t tell him about the vale army, but she brought in the army to fight FOR him not AGAINST. So I don’t see her as working against him. I’ve never seen it. As someone posted earlier, his death kind of ensures hers, and I’m sure she knows that.
  11. It sounds like this all boils down to you thinking Sansa's not an effective communicator. Maybe not, but it's true of most characters, including Jon. Sansa is not a soldier so she can't say how someone i.e. Ramsey should be defeated on the field, but she can provide info re Ramsey and how he operates that can be useful when coming up with a battle strategy, which is what she did. I disagree re Rob vs. Jon. I think Sansa would speak up to Rob, as well, with her thoughts. Jon should trust Sansa because she clearly cares about their family and staying alive. What other motives could she have? I never said they should go back to their old dynamic. Just that big brother Jon bears a lot of responsibility for the current one. Their dynamic has improved (IMO) based on what we've heard of their childhood. Sansa clearly loves and respects Jon, and supports him IMO. I just don't know what we've been shown or what she's said that indicates otherwise. Yes, she might think she is smarter and isn't always forthcoming, but that doesn't mean she's against him.
  12. Agreed. I just can't see this ending with Jon turning full Targ, including marrying his aunt and permanently moving away from Sansa, Arya, and Bran. Arya can prob protect herself, but I can't see him leaving Sansa and Bran in winterfell or anywhere far from him. He has an idea of what Sansa's been through. He can't stand her but he wants to protect her. Bran is glued to a chair. I honestly only think Death could separate him from his stark siblings. So if John doesn't die, I expect him to live where his siblings are.
  13. My issue with all of this is that I don't think Jon is listening to her in private. He's made it clear he doesn't value her opinion. And, if he's still holding on to beef from their childhood after all that has happened, says more about him than Sansa. Sansa was a little girl. She isn't any more. and what has Jon done to show Sansa he is smart? Nothing. But she's just suppose to go with the flow. I don't think Sansa not telling him everything warrants him not listening to her. Who tells everyone everything? Not Jon...Not Dany. Let's see if Jon is going to run and tell Sansa he's a Targ... I think it should be clear to Jon that Sansa is working for the good of her family and her home. Why wouldn't he trust her? What does he think she might be planning? Does he think she might be trying to rule and lead him to his death? That's laughable. I don't think Jon distrusts Sansa. I think he just doesn't value her opinion, as he's shown multiple times. By contrast, for all Sansa's fault, I do think she values and respects Jon. She's at least said good things about him to Brienne, and stood up for him while he was gone, and she's told him she has faith in him and he's a good King. She just doesn't agree with him all the time. If they had a different dynamic, maybe she would stop by his chambers to express her thoughts before or instead of doing it publicly. But I don't think Jon has created space for her to do so. I just don't believe if Sansa went to him privately to talk about food supply he would do anything except shoo her away. So I actually put more responsibility on big brother, ex-KON for their dynamic. And she DOES get his attention and that of the northern lords. Whether Jon listens is another matter. Edited to add: with all that said, I get them both. I think their dynamic make sense for them. Sansa spilling her guts to Jon and Jon being all ears to Sansa would be really unrealistic for these characters. I also just love their scenes. If they were all lovey-dovey “we are a [stark] family,” they would be far less interesting to watch lol
  14. I still just fail to understand why Sansa speaking up in front of other Northern Lords is so awful. Should she just sit there and put up with anything like she did with Ramsey, Joffrey, Robin? A perk of having a brother as the King is having a seat at the table and a voice. It would be unrealistic for her to act with Jon as she did in the past. And I think Jon bears some responsibility for their dynamic. I always see people saying that Sansa distrusts Jon, doesn’t think much of him etc. And we see Jon asking, “have you no faith in me?” But the feeling is mutual. Jon’s little snide remark to Arya wasn’t the first time he indicated he doesn’t listen to Sansa. He did it last year when Sansa told him he needed to be smarter than Ned and Rob, and he replied, “how? By listening to you?” Sansa sadly replied, “would that be so awful?” And crickets from Jon. So I don’t think Jon is listening to her in private, either. Speaking up in front of everyone at least gets his attention. I’m not sure Sansa would get it otherwise.
  15. I’m rewatching. What should’ve been a memorable scene was already forgotten by me when I went to post—-this incredibly lame how to train your dragon scene. It all just fell incredibly flat to me. And Jon and Dany at the waterfall does remind me of Jon and Ygritte, which is no good, because Jon and Ygritte actually had chemistry.
  16. Glad to be back! I LOVED Sansa this episode. Her scenes with Tyrion and Jon were highlights for me. Jon and Sansa scenes just have great energy and I love their dynamic. I’m glad the parentage reveal happened the first ep. We don’t have any time to drag things out anymore. It was a bit underwhelming because I feel nothing re Jon/Danny —I don’t think they have a lick of chemistry—so I don’t feel bad for them that they’re related, even though the show wants us to. Was Dany about to threaten Sansa to Jon already??? Very interesting lines between Arya and Jon about family loyalty: Arya - Sansa is just looking out for her family. Jon - I’m her family too. Arya - Don’t forget that. Jon will have to choose between Starks and Targs? I wonder if Jon will tell Sansa and Arya? I don’t expect him to tell Dany, but weirdly I think Sansa and Arya deserve to know since Bran and Sam do.
  17. ^^ ITA Will is just...strange. He also said "the switch got turned on" or something like that, and I was like, when??! If that was turned on Will...ehhh. I don't think Will was trying to avoid backlash that could come with being honest with Jasmine. I now just think this is how he is, an avoider who can't articulate what he wants/need, and that's why he is single. This reunion wasn't nearly as exciting as I hoped it would be. I actually think Steph/AJ has a better shot than Kristine/Keith in the long run. I still think Kristine will get tired of Keith. I'm just glad she wasn't knocked up. Kate is just as odd as Luke.
  18. He said it after Pastor Cal left. It was only him and Jasmine (and the camera). Regardless, I just don't think that it was necessary to lead Jasmine on. Will is almost 40. I just can't make excuses for him. He should've handled all of this better.
  19. Yes, I remember Will telling Jasmine he was attracted to her. It was the episode Pastor Cal came to visit and asked if they were in the friend-zone, I think. I remember them having this convo on the couch.
  20. But Will didn't even say "I'm just not interested." All he said was communication was lacking. And he kept leading her to believe there was a future with them (he said this during confessionals to) and flat out told her he was attracted to her. He also said if he had to do this experiment again, he would've chosen Jasmine. I think those were flat out unnecessary lies. I don't think he needed to lead her on in that way when he clearly wasn't feeling it. and FYI, as a woman, you telling a woman you're not attracted to her will not completely destroy her self esteem. In fact, women get told this by men all the time and they move on just fine. If a woman is "destroyed" after a man tells her that, she already had low self esteem to begin with.
  21. Well, even saying he was "not as well of," is not making fun of his background. If anything, she just stated a fact. That's all I was saying. There are men paying all their household bills in 2019. I work with several. To each his/her own. -- Will was just simply not physically attracted to her, period. IMO Nothing she could've said/done would change that. Men do not act the way Will acted towards Jasmine when they are physically attracted to a woman. Did anyone watch Rachel Lindsay's season of the Bachelorette? This Will reminds me of Will Gaskins from Rachel's season (except will g. was hot). Rachel just didn't get why he was so animated during group dates, but would clam up when they were alone and it was time for "romance." She didn't get why he wasn't affectionate at all towards her, though he was friendly towards her. And come to find out...she just wasn't his type; he admitted he didn't typically date women that looked like her and his current gf (after he left the show) looks nothing like her. But he told Rachel he was attracted to her, his actions however said otherwise--Rachel had to ASK him for a kiss on their date. And Will said he was usually physically affectionate in his relationships. I see the same thing between this Will and Jasmine. Actions speak louder than words.
  22. Jasmine never made fun of Will's upbringing. She just said it was different. --- I was only surprised by Kate this ep. Pleasantly so. I wanted all of the women to say "divorce," but knew Stephanie and Kristine would not. I do not expect their pairings to work. AJ is a loose canon. And Kristine is already starting to look worn out; "raising a man" is hard work. I expect her to walk soon-ish. My issue with Will all season has been his lack of honesty. He couldn't even look Jasmine in the eyes the majority of the time because he was not being honest. I do believe Jas was blindsided because Will didn't tell her he wasn't attracted to her, when he so obviously isn't. In fact, I think he told her the opposite, which is why she ignored the glaringly obvious signs that he wasn't physically attracted to her. He could have at least whispered it to her when the cameras weren't rolling. I've personally seen it since the wedding. He showed zero excitement about Jas after he saw her. Will not wanting to pay all the bills was not their biggest hurdle. I've known men to say they will not do a lot of things and for women they weren't really attracted to and completely flip the script when they get a woman they thought was hot. I think we would have gotten a completely different Will if he were paired with a woman that he was physically attracted to. He refusal to "bend" on anything or to even really try with Jas was because he wasn't physically attracted to her.
  23. But she compromised on 100%. She also didn't say she expected 100% now, before they know if they want to stay together. They were talking about general expectations in a marriage.
  24. I disagree. Will was obviously not into the idea before even starting the exercise, and he acted like it--he didn't even touch her while they were kissing. He also immediately went to the negative after kissing Jasmine as well (that it was awkward), whereas Jas was trying to discuss kissing styles and actually take . That's not giving it a chance. I also disagree about Jasmine. Ok, so she's a woman who cares about having a man that can pay the bills (she's not the only one). Doesn't mean she doesn't have interests or hobbies. He also keeps harping on finances as if Jasmine is asking him for a mansion on the fill and chanel purses. She's just asking about bills and providing for children, the bare minimum. I haven't see her ask Will for gift , let alone him give her one. So I would not put her in the shallow, gold-digger category. The other participants also did NOT get what they asked for i.e. Luke, Kristine, Jas. I bet Stephanie didn't either. But I see more effort from all of them (even idiot Luke) and trying to actually get to know their spouses and being nice to their spouses (even idiot Luke smiles at and pretends to like Kate sometimes). Will has given zero effort. And being paired with a wife that wanted her husband to pay the bills, but later agreed to compromised, is not a good enough excuse to completely disengage from the experiment. I also do not recall Jasmine looking down her nose at Will's background. I recall her making certain statements to the camera, but not to Will. And, for all we know, she could have picked up a basketball. But Jasmine isn't given the benefit of the doubt by viewers like Will. It's also interesting how Jas is supposed to do all these things to turn Will on, but zero expectations on him to do anything to meet Jasmine's needs.
  25. It’s not just sex. There’s no physical intimacy. He didn’t even give the kissing exercise a chance. He’s not trying at this experiment period. I’ve seen no effort from him trying to get to know Jasmine. At least Jasmine is trying. Yet excuses are made for him but not for others who don’t try at this experiment. He signed up for this. No one made him do it. If he has clear set idea of what he wants in a woman, why did he come on this show and let experts pair him with a stranger?
