As I find myself crying at the funeral for a character who is probably not dead, I can’t help but mourn for my favorite little family back in the day. I loved, Nikolas/Britt/Spencer. They were always the right shade of grey for me. Tyler’s passing makes the sadness all too real.

I’m sorry, but it’s incredibly hard to believe that Nikolas is a better parent than Esme, when he has abandoned his two sons on multiple occasions. Plus all of the other crimes he has committed over the years. Edit: So Spencer just handed off his little brother to a man that said child doesn’t know. So that said child, will probably never see any of the people he knows, loves and trusts again? On what planet is that healthy for Ace? And if they think that Esme is reverting back to form, what do they think she’s going to do now?

I wish one of the writers would have thrown in a line from Sharon about how she and Mariah didn’t start off on a good note as mother and daughter. Or knowing what it’s like to find a child that you thought died/never knew existed. It’s like someone knew Sharon and Victoria should talk, but didn’t know why.

Oh well, I was wrong about Victoria/Nate spending the night at the club. At least her kids have another parent. Nick constantly leaves his stolen child at home with the nanny.

I don’t think that Victoria/Nate or Tessa/Mariah are spending the entire night at the club. On a better show, they would awkwardly run into each other in the hallway. However, on this show everyone is in silos. Nick gave the Tack house to Mariah and Tessa, but I’m pretty sure that he’s never met Aria, who until a couple of months ago, he would have considered his grandchild. But the thought of a grandchild doesn’t vibe with trying to steal your brother’s baby while sexing up his ex. He’s also ignoring Summer (understandable for anyone else), even though he thinks her mother is dead. I’m also annoyed with how Mariah’s relationship with the Newman’s changes depending on the season. Sometimes she’s a near family member, other times some random chick they kinda know. For all of his many faults, you know Victor would have given Aria a pony by now.

In retrospect, Maya hasn’t been mentally healthy in quite a while. She had a panic attack while she was on vacation with Carina, cause there was a five alarm fire and she wasn’t there. It took her time to understand that her father was emotionally abusive growing up. She has continuously and deliberately pushed Carina away when she (Maya) couldn’t handle her emotions (sleeping with Jack, starting arguments). Rocky foundation indeed. I agree that the ladies at the firehouse (while delightful) didn’t go with the other two plots of the episode. The stand-off is a direct depiction of what happened to Elijah McClain. However in real life, the paramedics did sedate him and he died six days later.
