  1. Canadagraphs has photos of the filming of episode 6x16 "Nightmare in National City" on his blog. Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Jesse Rath and Katie McGrath were filming. ETA: Apparently the director of 6x16 has posted about wrapping the episode. That means episode 6x17 will start filming next week.
  2. The full CW LGBTQ Superheroes panel is on YouTube. Chyler Leigh (Alex) and Nicole Maines (Nia) took part in the panel.
  3. David Ramsey (Arrow's John Diggle) talked with Entertainment Weekly about his guest appearances on various Arrowverse shows this year. He also talked about the Supergirl episode he directed and is guest starring in.
  4. According to Hollywood Reporter the CW has passed on Painkiller. It's studio is still trying to find another home for it.
  5. According to Deadline Chyler Leigh and Nicole Maines will take part in a panel for a virtual festival by Outfest that runs from June 4th to June 8th.
  6. That was pretty good even if it was mostly a bottle episode. The ending felt a little rushed but I liked that Kara at least got a reunion hug with Alex. Though its too bad next week wasn't the mid-season finale. It would have been nice to have a whole episode with Kara back before the show went on its long hiatus.
  7. Chyler Leigh (Alex) talks with The Wrap about the mid-season finale.
  8. Canadagraphs posted another Supergirl blog. It has set pictures from episode 6.14. After they wrap this episode there will be six episodes left to film.
  9. Comicbook.com talks to Chyler Leigh about Alex becoming Sentinel. There isn't any spoilers except for near the end when
  10. He was seen filming for the show recently so William will definitely be around for the second half of the season. I wonder if they will actually put William and Kara together because they have no chemistry.
  11. It isn't very practical. I missed that the episode airs September 21, which means that they will air at least 5 episodes in a row. I wonder if they will air all of the final 13 episodes without skipping a week?
  12. I do think one of Supergirl's biggest problems is its lack of attention to continuity and Crisis only made that worse. Even the original Midvale retconned some of what we knew about the Danvers sisters relationship from season one flashbacks. Yes, Melissa Benoist was on maternity leave when these episodes were filmed.
  13. Canadagraphs has on location pictures and details on his Blog. He has photos from 6x11, 6x12, and 6x13 and I think he will post some from 6x14 soon. It looks like Supergirl will be doing more shooting on location in the city in the second half of the season.
  14. Entertainment Weekly has an article on Kelly becoming Guardian and has a poster of Kelly in the Guardian suit. I've just realized that Alex never got a poster as Sentinel. Why didn't she?
  15. Spoiler TV has the episode titles for episodes 8-11. Supergirl - Episode 6.8 - Welcome Back, Kara! Supergirl - Episode 6.9 - Dream Weaver Supergirl - Episode 6.10 - Still I Rise Supergirl - Episode 6.11 - Mxy in the Middle Supergirl.tv has photos for episode 6.7- Fear Knot.
  16. That could be it though she did use female pronouns to talk about Kara, Melissa and Lexie. I do think its way too late in the show's run to do that type of story for Alex and have it work but I can see the writers doing it. They love to do a socially relevant story even when it feels forced.
  17. I just noticed this after re-reading but what's with Chyler using non-binary pronouns (they/them) when talking about Alex? Are they doing a non-binary story with Alex? I feel like that would be well intentioned but ill advised.
  18. Chyler Leigh (Alex) talks to ETOnline about the episode she's directing, her return to Greys Anatomy and hints at how the show will end.
  19. I loved that they mentioned Alex and the DEO. It would have been fun to see a mini crossover between the shows this season. I liked that Ava wasn't bothered by her hookup with Alex but that line did annoyed me too. This retcon about Gary being an alien feels like a stretch even for this show but it was a fun episode.
  20. I think she filmed them in January.
  21. I think Supergirl actually started filming around the same time as many of the other Arrowverse shows. However, they started filming without Melissa Benoist, who didn't return until January. So her scenes in the Phantom Zone were filmed later than the other scenes in the episodes.
  22. I think your right and a Midvale show is not the spinoff I'd like to see even though I like the actresses. I think a few present day characters on Supergirl could work well on a spinoff or join another series but unfortunately it probably won't happen. I don't know if we are supposed to think their relationship is strained in general or just at the moment because Alex is feeling resentful about not going to Europe. The one issue I had with Midvale is that it also was a bit of a retcon. The flashbacks in season one made it clear that Kara and Alex had already gotten closer before they were that age.
  23. The cast and showrunner talk to EW about the ten episodes of the show they recommend watching. I don't agree with Caity Lotz about skipping to season 3. Season 2 is when the show really begins to improve.
  24. I think Supergirl originally it wasn't supposed to premiere until the summer. Superman and Lois got behind on filming due to a covid shut down so Supergirl is airing its first several episodes earlier than was originally planned. I like that we got to see some episodes in the spring even if it is annoying that we have to wait over 3 months for the rest of the season to begin airing.
  25. I wonder if some shows will have a shorter filming hiatus in between seasons so they can get back to a more regular schedule?
